Mine did the same thing as far as tread breaking off. I was not happy with these tires whatsoever. Terache Aztec is one of the best mud tire by far I have ran.

I'm in the same boat. What did you end up with? I just ordered 28inch meg mayhems. Tires are hard to get in Canada right now.
Zillas, mega mayhems are a good tire but they wanna dig down and Zillas will push you out rather
do not get mudzillas
unless you're driving in nothing but mud
