Than k you for all the hard work you do to help fight plastic pollution. There are so many countries that don't have a waste disposal system set up or recycling services. Bringing this matter to their attention surely will help. The companies that produce this plastic need to step up and help fix this problem too.
The best way to create change is through individual action to reduce your use of single use plastics, raising awareness within your social circle and voting with your wallet to opt for sustainable alternatives at every opportunity. We all have the ability to shift the production habits of big brands by showing them there is demand for sustainable products.
That first scan at 7:14 is crazy! You need a rake to get that stuff out :( So sad to see it this way, please find a way to keep these workers hopeful! They need every ounce of encouragement they can get!!
There is obviously a big issue with garbage collections and residents disposing of rubbish in the water ways which ends up on the beach and in the mangroves. Big change needed, the government needs to step up. Thank you guys for everything you're 😊 doing
Our team is making strides to educate individuals, corporations, and governments on the impact plastic has on the ocean, and the role they can play to become part of the solution. We must move away from a throwaway society.
Can I say 'well done ' to Cardiff County Council who recycle as much as possible. But then you have Margate in Kent who recycle NOTHING. We need more consistency across the world 🌎
It should educate the community to take care of their beaches and waterways - especially the kids - start early to involve them in the process with school projects
That island might have no means of disposing of their garbage, which is common in poor countries. We're spoiled here in the West, with our twice-a-week garbage collection and recyclables collection.

Holy! That is intense! Definitely a super daunting task to tackle. Clearly there needs to be waste management set up in places like Indonesia as well as phasing out single use plastic.

Your positive vibes are just another reason we're so motivated to have the biggest impact possible. We really can't do this without passionate individuals like you, so thank you! 💙
It can be upsetting to see this, which is why it’s important to educate others on how detrimental it can be to the health of the planet. Together, we can combat this!
While the mission is difficult, please know there is hope. We’re all in this together and collectively, we can create change for a cleaner, healthier ocean. 💪
Absolutely astounding! Mind-blowing how much was there! I love the enthusiasm of your team at the start of the video, beautiful! Well done on this clean up. Keep up the good work. 💙
Are u guys collaborating with 'theoceancleanup'? Maybe they can help by setting up some interceptors. But also: Would it be possible for 4 U to help the Island to set up a waste-management system? So bags of plastik will make it to your recycling-facility before it reaches the ocean?
We are not currently collaborating with The Ocean Cleanup. However, anyone who is looking to make a difference and improve the world is a friend to us! 💪
We currently have cleanup locations in South Florida, Guatemala, and Indonesia. Our team is always working on ways to expand and increase our impact. 🌎
can moving the wood just inland help? if the pile is more purely plastic, like the beach in Guatemala, wouldn't it be easier to keep clean in the long run and also lower the depth of the pile? Then in each subsequent cleaning you wont be resifting through the same driftwood.
Many islands, even uninhabited ones, don't have their own plastic trash. It floats in on the tides. Others have no means of disposing of their trash, especially poor countries.
That beach needs heavy gear and large trucks. problem is when you move it where do you put it with that amount.also much of the pastic would have degraded to a point where it can not be reused.
Holy cow that's a daunting task to hand pick. Indonesian army needs to loan out some heavy equipment for that mess.
Great effort from the team
We're grateful for our crew's hard work and commitment to creating a cleaner environment for all.

I love the fact that you are raising awareness. Wish there was an easy answer on how to reduce source generation.
Working together is key to preserving our oceans for future generations. Let's continue to make conscious choices to protect our marine environment. 🌊

@@4Ocean you'll always have my support! Take care!
I love the grassroots feel and it makes me want to commit my effort but it feels too much like a marketing pitch

You come across as a CEO version of marketing
Is o=your company focused solely on the Pacific Ocean/Indian Ocean areas?

Well done Alex, some wise words: we need a young face to get the message across better
Together, we can create the change needed to protect our oceans for future generations. 💙🌊
Ma come ci finisce tutta la plastica in mare? La turchia il brasile e l'india continueranno sempre a riversare plastica nell' oceano
It comes from rivers, mostly from poor countries that don't do waste management or have no means to recycle.
REPENT SINNERS JESUS CHRIST SAVES ✝️✅
So is that all you have to say about the video? Can't think of anything, huh?
@ You can clean up trash and plastic. But it’s your soul that needs to be clean before Jesus Christ on judgement day
