Matt and the girls do their usual great job , but I often think we take Emmitt’s dobro playing too much for granted . He adds so much to their songs and ALWAYS does a stellar job and makes it look so effortlessly . Truly a fantastic musician !

Here we are in Korea. My daughter she is 2.7years old. She loves to listen this song. Especially she love Katie. She always mention her like mommy! that violin girl smiles!! My girl can even sing in English but she doesn’t know what means 🤣🤣
FYI. Written by R. Alex Anderson in 1949. Made famous by Bing Crosby and the Andrew’s Sisters in 1950. The Petersens cover this song with the same lighthearted and upbeat happiness as those who made it famous. Great job Petersen Fam.
Yes they remind me of the Andrew Sisters with this song as well. I have one their vinyl albums and saw them featured in movies with Abbot and Costello. Very fond memories. 🙂

Hey, so this is 2 years old, but these guys never cease to amaze me- the song has a more than simple guitar chord phrasing and Hawaiian-polka-Irish tempo and lyric. No room for even little fowl-ups, yet they carry it off with typical aplomb, easily delivering a relaxed, smiling rendition- even the animated exuberance of the end credit outtake is adorable.
I'm a bit bummed out by a couple aspects-of-life things, but this popped up after a couple other drive home video song plays and instantly I felt lightheartedly happy.

That was beautiful. Well done. Great to hear and see Matt sing--that guitar man has a voice. Katie, Emmett, Ellen, and Julieanne were brilliant and uplifting as well. I always get a kick out of watching mama bear in the background playing bass and watching her children glow. This band has been great medicine for me and my family.

Born and raised in Hawaii. Petersens did an awesome job, as good as anyone locally was ever performed. At least in my 62 years. My adopted brother has a timeshare in Branson, so hopefully I’ll be staying with them one of these days and see the Petersens live!

The Petersens made a Christmas classic their very own. Thank you for the cards. Katie is now the official Dancing Queen.
Katie has tremendous charisma, and she pulled off that dance with ease. I love that moment at 3:00 when Julianne seems to examine her sister for a split second, then freezes and stares fixedly at the middle distance! Meanwhile, Ellen can't help staring at Katie in disbelief while trying not to laugh. I think Matt must have got a signal from the camera man, "move aside, we're zooming in!" Great entertainment and leadership by senior sister.
Andrews Sisters (original with Bing,) Quebe Sisters (with Kacey Musgraves) and now Peterson Sisters with Matt. The song, from 1949-50, pre-dates the 1959 statehood of Hawaii. Great version for annual listening!

All of the musicians are wonderful! I'm not older, but I heard a version of this once. These young ladies sound like the Andrews Sisters back in the day! If the Petersen's Christmas music doesn't put a smile on your face perhaps you are a grumpy scrooge.

I am not a big fan of music, but I discovered this band maybe 2 weeks ago, and watched a lot of videos. Wonderful music and lovely family. So for the first time in 15 years and maybe 4th time in my life, I paid for music when I bought an album on Amazon, and listened a lot on my 2 day drive from Eastern Europe to France through some beautiful wintry alpine passes.
By the way, Merry Christmas is "Boldog Karácsonyt" in Hungarian, but I dont recommend to do cover with this :). Also, palm trees dont sway here, haha.

We just returned home from Branson where we were privileged to see the Petersens twice. The videos and cds are great but nothing compares to seeing this wonderful group live! Every show just gets better and better. The Christmas album is their best yet. Merry Christmas to you all and can't wait to see you next year.

I can't help but notice that they did a good job of recreating Bing and the Andrews Sisters while adding their own Bluegrass touch to the arrangement.
