So I’m sitting at the table eating lunch and watching the show. The wife is in the kitchen listening to you talk about falling off the wagon regarding buying more tools, she said we are all nuts and where are we supposed to store all this junk. Feeling brave I told her we could put most of them in the closet with all her shoes and purses…..bad move….looks like I’ll be watching the show in the garage for awhile! Fix up the box rulers!
I have a tiny box ruler that is so stuck. I have been fiddling with it for about a year and it won't budge. So I vote for the rulers. Great haul. Cheers
Thank You for taking us to the show. You have so many great items that I don’t care which one you start with . I’ll enjoy any of them. Have a great weekend. Thank You for sharing
Whole lot of great items Mr. John! Seeing the folding rule being cleaned up would be cool, I think. Of course it's really hard to pick you got some cool items!! Great start to the week though!!
What a fantastic tool meet! I am drooling at the abundance and the prices. For comparison, at a recent estate sale here in Houston, I saw some vintage wooden planes, for which they were asking more than $100 each, and a few didn’t even have irons! Thanks for sharing your great tool haul.
John, That sword/hammer might be something that was made in high school shop class,Or some guy at work. In my downtime as a mechanic in a diesel rail roundhouse I would make some awesome tools and fixtures for us to use to make our jobs easier. But railroads put the kibosch on that in case someone got hurt they could sue, so they went to mostly snap-on because of the warranty and gaurantee. OR my dads best friend was a big wig at Stanley tools in Kansas City and one year for X-mas he gave my dad a tool box to fit behind the truck seat and it was full of tools........ALL DOUBLE HANDLED! Screw drivers with just handles on both ends, sockets with no way of fitting on a ratchet, double handle hammers with no hammer, ect. Real kool and real funny.
Scout, some great finds and man - cheap! Tools on my list for the show - box rules, screwdriver and protractor. Would love to see them restored, I know you'll show us how to make them look new!
(12:44), Stanley 1970's "Workmaster" screw drivers, handles won't slip in your hand. Look like new old stock. My hat's off to the Engineer that invented those handles.
I have a few boxwood rules that need a cleanup. Would really like to see your techniques. A close second is the combination square protractor piece and, concurrently, cleaning up the metal rule that goes with it. Its a long drive to Long Island, but would like to make that meet someday.
At a dollar each I would have got all the hand saws and planes. But I'm week. Thanks for taking us along, great stuff looking forward to seeing everything cleaned up.
$10 for that seat cutter set!? Oh man what a deal! The tiny set I had was the cheap flat cutting type with 3 sizes and cost $80! The quality of my set was very good, but not to the extent of this one. I'm impressed.
Love those boxwood rules. I have a nice handful of them. Those 'Perfect Handle' style screwdrivers too. That kit is fantastic! Horseshoe is interesting with those calks. Love the monkey wrenches! I think the block plane should be done first!
Missed this show on Monday, didn’t see the notification, we be checking that out. Thanks for the update, had it been me at that show and a dollar table come up, I would’ve backed the truck up to the door and loaded up.😮😊😂
Great video 👍 Fantastic video of the Long Island tool meet 🧰. They had some awesome tools and deals there 👍👍. You couldn’t beat the $1 table. I think I would love to see those old folding 📏 rules cleaned up or that 300lb. Vintage spring scale cleaned up and back in service, that would be a awesome video for the show! 👍👍. That was a cool looking military lock 🔐,thanks for sharing that one with us. How many of those Hand Saws 🪚 did you bring home 🏠 for a$1 ?😂 No , seriously you can’t beat that price for a handsaw in good condition and made in the USA 🇺🇸. You aren’t buying a handsaw at HomeDepot for a $1 . They run about $10-30 bucks and the blades are not as good as the vintage USA 🇺🇸 ones used to be . Again awesome deal on those.👍👍 Well again great video and can’t wait to see what you do on Wednesday. Have a great night. 😄👍👍
I don’t know for how many years I’ve been going to this tool show and looking at the same tables you look at but never see the things you do. Some have the knack. Apparently I don’t. Good seeing you there!
Hey !John vraiment de superbes outils, j'aime tout, mais une petite préférence pour la petite mallette en cuir avec les outils interchangeables. Il y a du travail sur certains, mais je sais qu'ils sont dans de bonnes mains. ❤
That is a great job of collecting stellar finds. I am having a similar experience during the shop move. I found a batch of tools that I hadn't looked at since buying them in a batch. They ended up in the mechanics tool boxes on the garage bench and have been there for years. I intend to make a video of the best kind of flea market. 😁😎
Very nice haul. Good job I was not present when everything went to $1, I would have lost some control. LOL I have never seen a horse shoe like the one you showed. Wow. Dave.
I love old tools soooooo much.thanks for the memories. Would love to see those wood rulers restored. I have one but I'm afraid to work on it have a great day..👍👍❤...
Always enjoy the show...and ...learn so much from each one. The red handled tool is a "Gizmo" at least that's what the Mechanic would tell his helper (me) to get from the tool room
So many choices, the Kraeuter nippers look interesting, also the Never-Slip pliers and the perfect handle Jeep screwdriver needing a new kind of handle. What a great show, next time your going to need a bigger bucket. Thanks for the tour!
The plane iron looked like it said "Buck Brothers" which I believe was an American Company. If you go far enough back, an apprentice would make many of his tools. By the time I started, we made saw horses and a work bench. Its a tool designed by someone who has never used a tool. Nice video. Good Luck, Rick
Awesome show, John! Glad I’m not the only one who has stopped buying tools. My vote is for the compass! Would love to see how you would clean it up and restore it. I’m looking for one, and the new ones are so pricey-so it would be nice to know how to restore a rusty one. Thanks!
Great haul and great video!! My vote for resto/clean-up is the box rules first, then the perfect handle screwdriver, then the cast scale (can you check to see if the scale is still accurate?).
So much great stuff! I know I would be in trouble big time, I was silently laughing the whole video because I feel you're struggle!! My girlfriend would be mad, because she needs to help me find a spot for all my stuff😂 The no parking sign is a favorite. But I'd really like to see what you with a wooden plane!
John, this was a pure joy to watch. Can you restore the wooden rulers or the perfect handled screwdriver first as I have a couple in the garage needing attention 😀.
Great show and tell acquisitions. I am looking forward to the box ruler clean up as well as the plane. The scale will be another great clean up, especially if you demonstrate the capacity up to 300 lbs. Maybe your screwdriver collection could be weighed for the test!😉
Another great video, ScoutCrafter! 👍🏻 Quite the haul from the tool meet. It’s easier to quit buying tools when people donate them for restoration on the channel! 😂 My vote for first project would be the “perfect handle” style screwdriver at 07:00. Doing a Delrin handle would be cool, I’ve always wanted one of those with G10 or micarta handle scales myself. The pliers at 18:00 look like they might be for bending soft(er) metal tubing like brake lines or similar and would explain the Bakelite/phenolic resin jaws to prevent damage to the tubing on either side of the bend. When I was a young child I secretly collected matchbooks from businesses that gave them away, unbeknownst to my parents, and they flipped when they found an old cigar box I had full of them - I think I was probably 7 or 8 at the time - that was still a common thing into the late 80s or early 90s here in the Midwest. 😅
That strange tool could be a crate tool and if you’re taking the nails out from around the edge of the box, the handle might not get in the way if you keep it hanging over the edge and might give you a two handed leverage. Just a thought. Great video, great tools, thanks so much for sharing, have a great day.
To bad I live in Tennessee because I would be broke with all of those cool old tools I have a problem not buying them lol it’s all your fault you’re the first restoration channel I subscribed to now I have an addiction thanks
I had a friend that shod horses on race circuit around the states. Those were used on muddy tracks or on tracts that the dirt was soft. Bob from North Idaho
Looked like a great tool meet John, some real bargains there too ! I somehow knew you'd end up coming away with some of those vintage electrical fittings. I'd like to see what you can do with the Boxwood rules, the spring scales & the Wooden Plane but obviously we'd like to see it all in due course.
Great video. The bayonet hammer was probably either a gag gift or a retirement gift. The first mystery pliers (very curved handles) might be used for ammo reloading. Please clean up the box rulers. Love your videos. Always bummed when a video ends.
What a lot of cool tools. Some I have never seen before, including the lineman's pliers with the replaceable jaws. The pliers get my vote for first cleanup. 357 Magdad has a tremendous collection of screw holding screwdrivers. I wonder if he has one in the tool set you picked up.
The tool with the red end and hammer in the middle is a homemade tool. The guy who made it is to this day,.. laughing, knowing how many people are trying to figure out what it is 🤔🙄🤪😲 I love Mishmash Mondays! Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Thanks for taking us along to the tool meet. You got quite a haul. The cast iron/brass scale and protractor head will both clean up nice. Looking forward to the clean-ups. Just think the multi tool kit is probably 60 years old and still has all the pieces, that's an accomplishment!
Would have bought those End Nippers and the Cast Scale too....Then I would have bought every one of those Planes and Restored them to a Mirror Polish and Refinished the Wood just to Cheese-Off the Plane Snobs.
Just before that seat remover at the 18:00 mark, the tool you called a breaker, I'd say it is for straightening some material. You can pinpoint where you'd want the bend to occur. I've used tools similar, but the fiber board is a new piece unless it would limit the bends somehow.
Hope the frying-pan tattoo [on the back of your head] gets better real soon!
I think the weird tool is for killing Vampire's 🤣
I have a tiny box ruler that is so stuck. I have been fiddling with it for about a year and it won't budge. So I vote for the rulers. Great haul. Cheers
Thank You for taking us to the show. You have so many great items that I don’t care which one you start with . I’ll enjoy any of them. Have a great weekend. Thank You for sharing
My vote would be for the ruler cleanup, or the perfect handle screwdriver with phenolic handles a close second.
Snoopy and I would love to see the box rules cleaned up😄
Good show, ScoutCrafter, I love those boxwood rules. And that scale that goes to 300 pounds.
What kind of maniac would pass up the $1 table ?? I'd like to see the box rules cleaned up. Thx John...
Whole lot of great items Mr. John! Seeing the folding rule being cleaned up would be cool, I think. Of course it's really hard to pick you got some cool items!! Great start to the week though!!

I wish I was near that show. So many great finds. The rulers would be neat to see
John, That sword/hammer might be something that was made in high school shop class,Or some guy at work. The shape of the Stanley screwdriver had me hooked. I keep finding them at the usual places for next to nothing.
Super video! Would love to see a cleanup of the box rulers. Thanks!
Scout, some great finds and man - cheap!

Best guess for the red hammer would be for repairing barbed wire fences.
Enjoyed the field day. I would like to see the box rulers cleaned.
I’d like to vote for the screw driver with custom scales!
Love the videos
Do the rulers
That horseshoe is a real “mudder”! 🌝
The Giant Nipper got me drooling 🤤
I have a few boxwood rules that need a cleanup. Would really like to see your techniques. A close second is the combination square protractor piece and, concurrently, cleaning up the metal rule that goes with it. Its a long drive to Long Island, but would like to make that meet someday.

I would have looked thru the box of saws and I would have bought the coolest ONE! 👍😀😎
That Surface scribe is beautiful!!!
Awesome finds, so looking forward to seeing these restored 😊
I don’t know for how many years I’ve been going to this tool show and looking at the same tables you look at but never see the things you do. Some have the knack. Apparently I don’t. Good seeing you there!
Ralph we have to make a round together next time!
A Box ruler episode will be awesome.
Hey !John vraiment de superbes outils, j'aime tout, mais une petite préférence pour la petite mallette en cuir avec les outils interchangeables. Il y a du travail sur certains, mais je sais qu'ils sont dans de bonnes mains. ❤
That's Ok! Everyone falls off the wagon from time to time!
Lets not start pointing fingers 🤔🙄😁
That is a great job of collecting stellar finds.

You really hit the motherlode this time! You can start with any of them, but led like to see the cleanup of the folding rulers.
Very nice haul. Good job I was not present when everything went to $1, I would have lost some control. LOL
I have never seen a horse shoe like the one you showed. Wow.
Dave.
I can practically see the barn from my house and I somehow always miss it!
Next meeting 4th Thursday in April.
Definitely needed those pliers , can’t have enough pliers 🤔
😂😂😂
Pliers with phenolic looks like something you use to straighten wire, tubing etc
I love old tools soooooo much.thanks for the memories. Would love to see those wood rulers restored. I have one but I'm afraid to work on it have a great day..👍👍❤...
I would like to see how you clean the folding ruler, thanks

Great tools to bring home. Voting for hand plane but think rulers are going win!
Nice haul! I would like to see the hand pruners and the replaceable jaw pliers done.
I noticed your plane has a Pharaoh iron, super cool stamp. I cast my vote for the screwdriver.
I believe the plier with the phenolic blocks is for adjusting/straightening/repairing large industrial electrical spring contacts.
I am sure your regular promotion of the show helps to keep it going well!
So much great stuff! I know I would be in trouble big time, I was silently laughing the whole video because I feel you're struggle!! Wow! You hit the Mother’s load. Great items at unbelievable prices. Good for you.
4th View
Just missed the podium. But still an Olympic Contender in the ScoutCrafter Fan Club.😊
I'd like to see the machinist height gauge redone; its a classic.
Buddy- You know your tools! 😃👍
The old Blue Point drills are work horses. I'm still using one from the 1960's. New coed, brushes, etc., and just like new.
I dig that tool kit in the leather case!
What a great Mosh! I would like to see the screwdriver and wooden hand plane cleaned up. Thanks for sharing all of the tools you got at the show.
That strange tool could be a crate tool and if you’re taking the nails out from around the edge of the box, the handle might not get in the way if you keep it hanging over the edge and might give you a two handed leverage. I wanna see STUFF done! Hows DAT grab ya, huh? Happy week you silly Scoutcrafting guy you. God Bless!
I had a friend that shod horses on race circuit around the states. Those were used on muddy tracks or on tracts that the dirt was soft. Bob from North Idaho
Thanks Bob!!! 😃👍
$1 each....I couldn't pass that up either. Anything Starrett for a dollar is a steal... awesome height gage... A Starrett also?
Looked like a great tool meet John, some real bargains there too !

Great stuff.. love the sq. Face pipe wrenches
Wow. What a great tool meet and shop. So many interesting items you brought back and I enjoyed seeing them all. Thanks for sharing.
That red handled nail puller/hammer/sword, a zookeeper friend said it is for opening crates with gorillas inside.
Thanks for the field trip! Lots of good stuff and can't wait for the clean ups thanks again and see you Wednesday
Best show begins...Thnx for sharing...
The tool with the red end and hammer in the middle is a homemade tool. The guy who made it is to this day,.. laughing, knowing how many people are trying to figure out what it is
🤔🙄🤪😲
I love Mishmash Mondays!
Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan

Good stuff!
I want to see the screwdriver different handle material build.
That plier with the screw missing is a saw set.
That makes total sense! 😃👍
Would have bought those End Nippers and the Cast Scale too....Then I would have bought every one of those Planes and Restored them to a Mirror Polish and Refinished the Wood just to Cheese-Off the Plane Snobs.
In your defense those 1 dollar tools are impossible to resist lol
Looking forward to coming back, nothing like this in SC
Wow! Those nippers are amazing!
All great stuff glad you had great time at the topl show

Great load of stuff and that cast iron scale would be very nice to do 👍
The wrenches in the end are lovely, can’t wait to see them done.
Thanks for sharing.
Delrin on the perfect handle screwdriver please.
Custom handle screwdriver is my vote!
I got the same scraper cool finds!
Saw some gotta haves! Thanks for the ride along. Can't wait for the fix ups.
thxs for sharing...Hi Pipes
I think my uncle Henry made that leviton switch!😅
Looking forward to the box ruler cleanup.
Could that be a crimper for sheet metal? Keep up the great work your show is the best.
