Hinata, Chisa and Juria are the goddesses representing land, sea and air (sky) and the others are their warriors. That's how I interpret the video. Great reaction btw!
It really is unfair XG is just doing it like no other. HOWLING is a masterfully produced musical piece and when paired with this cinematic work of art of a MV we get literally their album name AWE. There’s just so much to say about this. But the first thing I immediately thought of when watching the MV was XG is more powerful if not more than the force of nature. Figuratively speaking that’s what XG is, like you said it’s unfair. These QR code people represent the faceless people online who want to undermine XGs years of hard work with hate or even demands of wanting XG to be a certain way. This Song and MV is XGs way of telling them this is how we HOWL.

XG's music connects me, who speaks only Japanese and knows nothing about the world, with people from many different countries. My encounter with this video is one of the great things that happened to me.
I also thought of Coco's second verse as a reference to Game of Thrones because when we first meet her on the cypher she refers to herself as coming for the throne, Kahlessi flow. And if you've watched GOT, we see Kahlessi go from being silent to rising to the throne and taking everyone out of her way (hence choosing the violence). So in a sense, XG is also moving like Kahlessi and coming for the throne. Or they already got it.
They also released a live stage performance minutes after the M/V dropped so we got their full choreo right at the same time. You can hear their breathing a lot in it so you can tell the choreo is strenuous. And man... that melodic howl is an addicting sound.

I feel this is a continuing to Woke Up. Jurvey refs to football, Maya is in Den Mother mode, Cocona is leading a huge pack of ALPHAZ like a queen. The song itself is incredible, that howl could have been cringe from any other artists but it became the most memorable moment of the song. The vocal line are singing in similar tone to Mike Jack, they even reference Dangerous, which you know Simon has framed in his studio.
