Jamie Lee Curtis is one of those actresses and women who I deeply revere. I think she's just awesome, and so...I don't know what the word is. I just respect her elegance.
I know a lot of people feel Jamie Lee Curtis is being mean or condescending, but you have to remember that she is a highly seasoned actress coming from a different time in film, interviewing a musician and new actress in a very different time. Curtis is only wanting to truly grasp such a woman in such a time, and in order to do so, she must be critical. They must be critical of each other.
yes, I completely agree! Now a days, many people believe that being critical is the same as being negative. However, that is not the case here. I adore Jaime Lee Curtis for trying to get to know Lady Gaga on a deeper level and to know how Lady Gaga thinks as another actress.
I completely agree, people tend to forget that interviews are meant to usually be an in depth conversation on personal levels of a person's mind, ideas, and expression. Jamie wouldn't have been given this job if she wasn't good at conversing and probing, Lady GaGa is intelligent and can handle herself well. Imagine if this had been Katy Perry, Miley, or Taylor Swift; sheesh.
shes not a highly seasoned actress, her parents were. she was just in the right place at the right time and had a very few lucky breaks. she SUCKS in this interview. look at Ga Ga 's face , even SHE looks like SHUT THE F*** UP JAMIE !!!! BLAH. YUCK. ill never look at her the same way again.
Couldn't agree more. This interview felt as if it was personal conversation being recorded. There were no pretenses. They were both two women who on some level are masters in their field, and respect each other. They were trying to get each other, but people took it as Jaime being negative. This wasn't a "what's your favorite color" interview that people have become accustomed too.
himsyambrose No dude. She's a highly seasoned actress. And Lady Gaga's face just always looks like that when she isn't talking, she has an rbf. Jamie was good in this interview.
Right???I was thinking the exact same thing! She's so beautiful and clean and subtle. I hate all the makeup because she really is beautiful. But she says she doesn't feel beautiful unless she has a lot of makeup on.
LOL how can she be a pop queen without any classic songs or a hit ? We all know who is the only Queen of Pop in this Universe.. and the only ones who can replace Her is maybe Rihanna or Britney...sorry, but not Caca..although she tries very hard. but no she can't. she is just too annoying, unoriginal and vey fugly.. she has a double chin but no neck..like WTF where is the neck on that hobbit body? :((
I took a class called "History of Rock: 1970 to Present" as an elective in my freshman year of college, and we spent a class talking about the dominance and influence she has had p, and continues to have, on pop music and her fans. The professor also discussed other incredible artists from rock, hip-hop, pop, punk, and indie genres, but to write Gaga off as a fad just isn't practical or realistic.
Barbarka Volters im not even going to talk about how incorrect that statement is. the only thing i will say is that you are an ignorant homophobe and why you need to make those comments is beyond me. stop hating on gaga and the gay community and start loving the people around you. life is way too short to be hating on someone on the internet. have a nice night and enjoy the tea.
I think people think that she's a character cause she has a stage name, but every performer has that alter ego, I don't think Beyoncé walks around at her house in glittery bodysuits. I do think Gaga is very intelligent in the way she portrays herself, people are always talking about her clothes, her image, her performances, not about her personal life.
i agree. even for us "common people," everyone we meet has a different perception of us, and that's all different than our perception of ourselves. so it's natural for performers to present themselves differently in different situations. just like how Gaga explained it, she is all of these identities of herself all at the same time, she just has to present different aspects when she's a musician vs. when she's an actor
I love how deep and sincere Lady Gaga is. In spite of all her fame she still seems to be just a regular, down to earth gal from NY who just wants to help raise people up, make them feel better, happier and okay with who they are. I can't imagine how difficult it is to be so famous and still remain true to your inner self.
I love the teacher - pupil vibe I get from this conversation, at first I thought Jamie was sorta judging gaga with her questions but then later on it's pretty obvious she was simply trying to understand her and the person that she is as an actor would a character. It's great to see how humble gaga is about her acting skills and how even though she did a great job in Hotel she still knows there's work to do and she's trying to get some notes from Jamie and stuff. Great and very interesting conversation.
Exactly! People don’t want any criticism anymore. Even if it’s helpful. Society is too soft and sensitive. Lady Gaga loves Jamie Lee Curtis, and if you watch her, she is truly listening to what Jamie is saying. That’s called constructive criticism. It’s meant to help you grow, not put you down. People can’t grasp what constructive criticism is. They just want people to worship them even if they suck
Although I agree, it felt like there was this slight edge to Jamie.. kinda like “Ok Lady Bitch, you’re gonna come here and try to talk to me about acting? You don’t fucken KNOW acting , little lady.. well let me tell you”
I think there was great love and respect and admiration between these two. Jamie Lee Curtis was VERY giving towards her and shared her creative process with Gaga and also shared her excitement over seeing Gaga come into herself as an actor. To me, this was as sophisticated and elegant an exchange could be between two women in the entertainment industry.
I don't get enamored with famous people anymore (I'm grown), but there is something about Lady Gaga that fascinates me so that I stop and listen to her every word and watch every move. And I'm in love with this set design btw...I want every piece as it is in my basement/bedroom/home office
There's a few people in the world I'm enamored or infatuated with. They speak well, listen well, and you can tell there's a great energy about them. I'm 23 so the people around and under my age tend to look up to or favor people that have nothing to offer or contribute to learning... Or simply inspiration at least
Much respect to Ga Ga. This is an intelligent, talented, focused, person. Love to dance to her music, now I want to see more of her in every field of art.
Can we all appreciate Lady's head tilt when JLC said that she felt little, it was one of those, "How is it possible for a legend to feel this way?" looks. No one is a stranger to self doubt and questioning
This was the most inspiring Actors on Actors yet. The way they didn't discuss the specifics of certain roles too much, but more so of their mindset, process, and living their lives. Incredible!
She didn't come off condescending to me. She is trying to articulate a question about something that isn't physical. This isn't a debate she is having discourse so she is trying to intellectualise a topic that is inherently emotional.
I don't know what the comments are saying, Gaga speaks plenty, they have proper interaction, Curtis is just curious and mentoring Gaga's newbie skills (also, finding out how she does acting since Curtis said it was easy for herself). No animosity was found, besides weren't they talking that they know each other? Great talk.
Do people realize this is actors on actors a show about the process of acting. That’s why Jamie was digging deeper into her to get more information on her process
Stefani is an amazing listener...She has tremendous patience and respect for human beings and really shows when she's being interviewed which gives her such grace! I have never been a huge fan of her music but I have grown to really appreciate her as an artist and Woman who is very down to earth and humble for the amount of fame she has accomplished! Listening to her speak vs.Madonna shows how much she appreciates what she has and doesn't put herself on a pedestal. I really do love her as a human being!
"You are the master or mistress of your life." I am 70 years old and finally taking control away from a controlling huband who took everything from me. God give me STRENGTH and the WILL to go on. And somehow I end up here with Jamie Lee Curtis speaking about just this subject, and how I know IT'S TIME. God bless this kind of synchronicity! Thanks for posting!
Hmm I don't know. Cate is on a totally different level. There's a great conversation in this series between her and Ian McKellen, it's brilliant. Gaga is not at that level - yet...
Jamie Lee's initial question about whether or not Gaga was "a character" was very pointed. You can tell Jamie is not being as forthcoming as she could be for fear of coming across as judgmental though she becomes more assertive as the interview continues. I think Jamie is on point but doesn't quite know how to express her genuine criticism. Kudos to both.
@@lukesouthern3640 exactly. I've seen her in multiple interviews, I dont even like lady gaga BUT Jamie is hella passive aggressive, maybe its because she's an ex addict? They have manipulative tactics. But when she said "Ryan and I watched together, and when I saw you I didnt see technique..but Sarah was jaw dropping.." now thats true, however she said it almost like she was saying not having technique was good as having technique but she knows she was really saying "you look green, all that studying was a waste because I didnt see the technique" I liked jamie more before I started watching her interviews..
GaGa impresses me with her intuitive nature and her ability to explain how she feels with such clarity and intelligence. And Jamie Lee, is still her great self. 🙏💕👍🏿
Gaga was so famous so fast in popular culture that it took me a loooooooooooooong time to discern her actual brilliance and also her essential core health and goodness. She is a joy to watch, no matter what she's doing, including this interview.
This was, by far, my favorite Actors on Actors. Both women are extraordinary! What I saw and heard was two actresses who asked each other truly meaningful questions with real purpose in mind. It wasn’t just conversation. I felt their interest in one another and walked away feeling like I had learned something valuable about each of them. I feel like I now understand their perspectives on creative expression, specifically acting.
6:35 "If I was going to take a guy home, f**k him, and then eat him" *holds straight face through-out* I was laughing so hard I swear, this is why I love Gaga!!
yeahhhh like maybe some other people in the comments when this started i was like "Jamie's kind of rude..." but like.... she's actually really smart and just has maybe a blunt (?) personality idk if that's the right word. and Gaga is kind of selfless like she doesn't seem to let her ego get hurt so those two factors combined i think Gaga was able to see Jamie's intentions and not get too defensive and they powered through and i respect them both for being able to have this conversation
It’s so humbling to watch how these two great artists can take their time to listen and learn from each other despite them being one of the best in what they do. Some people can’t do that.
Interesting conversation.. I like Jamie Lee's questions.. And Gaga stepped up, answered as best she could, and didn't get defensive. I don't believe Gaga really knows who she is, but who does? Nicely done all around.
these two people on here are the ones i love the most. They are being their authentic selves on here. i am the type of person who would love to spend a day of a good conversation with these two. I have met other famous people over the years and just talk to them with a normal conversation, and not ask for an autograph. They are people like the rest of us.
What they said at the end is so true. When I went to my first concert I commited the mistake of recording the moment, and now I kinda regret it; I enjoyed that moment, but I disconnect myself of the place for a moment, and once I left my phone I was full on the concert... It's hard to not fangirl over someone you love, admire and/or respect, but we must try to change that.
I feel like Lady Gaga would be a really good candidate for the role of a Bond girl in an upcoming James Bond movie. I don't know why, but that just came to me and now I can't stop thinking of what that would be like.
this was a great interview! i read here people complaining about Jamie Lee Curtis. why ?? she offered Stefanie that true moment and true conversation that she is talking about and that she wants. She told her about the experience that she has being an actress for so long and wanted to know about her true feelings and methods. great interview.
Jamie Lee was wonderful in this interview with Stephanie. She was bonding with her & it was beautiful! Stephanie did an excellent job communicating with Jamie all the way around. Loved it!
I love Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanatta...unreal, so much talent. She could just paint and be a multi millionaire, play piano, or her favorite, writing songs. She doesn't have enough time to do it all!
Тимур Иванов Producers wanted nothing to do with her when she first came out and she fired Troy Carter for basically just using her as a money machine. She's an above average singer, actually, with a huge range, so that shows me you just don't like her. She's a great actress who's studied theatre and film for more than 10 years. You can literally check the credits for every song on every album, she's on there. Cher doesn't write all of her songs, she borrowed one from Gaga's unreleased. Cher and Gaga are on the same level, and Gaga's only been here for 8 years. When you leave hate comments like that, make sure you check your facts. You may not like someone, but you can't deny their talents. I don't like Madonna, for example, but I can't deny her talents or the work she's done for the LGBT community.
This was beautiful. Jamie is so thoughtful and wise and Gaga is such a beautiful and talented person who is able to listen and not take over. This was such a beautiful moment.
this is an amazing concept. A win-win for everyone involved here. You have two new fan bases to reach out to every episode. Instead of having an interviewer and one star, you get two stars as the interviews and interviewees. Genius.
Jamie Lee Curtis is a woman/actor to be respected. Lady GaGa treated Liza Minelli with such respect and love, It touched my heart, and I will never forget that!
GaGa is older for one, she was new to The Fame & I think that she wanted to really take the time to stop and think about what she was going to say before she said it. I don't think it was ever a "slow baby voice" but simply her being mindful of the words about to come from her lips. This interaction is a lot less personal where she's not being probed for her deepest, darkest secrets and such, or asked too much about her music, fans, love life etc... therefore she can speak more freely, is how I took it. I had a similar thought that her manner of speaking was also different than in the past but to me that seems the most logical reason as to why it has changed. Plus, I loved that "slow baby voice", it was very real, pure, and sincere.
She was very young when she became famous she talks about it in her documentary, how that if you become famous when your young you never really grow up
Damn, I didn't expect this conversation to be so deep. They really said somethings that got me thinking about creative process and the culture of fame. Thank you!
That part about the camera is so true. When you stop and take a picture, you're really STOPPING to take the picture. You're stopping, therefore killing the moment... damn never thought of it like that....
Why do people watch a video just to post a negative comment? Why can't you watch a video of your favorite artist or actor and post a positive comment? If you don't like Lady Gaga, get the fuck off her videos.
I'm always thinking that, too! People need to chill and spend their time on things the like and enjoy, not spreading hate just for the sake of it. I love Lady Gaga - she is so inspirational, I learn something new from her every day!
As a trauma victim myself I completely understand that she is everything she does creatively at one time. Trauma victims are very very good at internalizing characters and implementing the good parts of characters creatively into their self due to most if not all of their lives they are acting okay or acting differently for the world around them. Trauma victims are great actors and actresses.
Surprised some people still don’t know how talented Gaga is as an actress. She studied theatre and acting but that’s okay wait until A Star Is Born comes out.
I have friends who randomly hung out with Gaga in Osaka. She met up at this tiny gay karaoke bar near our housing right after her concert and hung out all night (I think I remember they yelled an invite from the audience during the show, idk). Mind you, she didn't know them, there were no cameras and they weren't famous or anything, just fans. Yet she took time from her tour schedule to hang out all night and be friendly. With all her fame and success, she could turn her nose up, but instead she was warm, genuine, down to earth, and made them feel valid. There are some far less famous people in LA that would never give up their night like that! Those that met her were raving about it for weeks. I don't always feel her music but I'm a fan of her voice. She always has something inspired to share. And definitely a fan of her acting, her turn in AHS had that special spark, I'm craving to see more of her on screen.
at the end, what jamie lee curtis said about changing fame culture is so funny because it just proves that she may see gaga for this huge star - but i don't think she truly understands her art and purpose for being here. she is actually here to change fame culture in a large way - it's just something people may not recognize until she is gone, sadly. almost everything she does is a commentary on fame. i will say that i think sometimes jamie lee curtis proved important points but at the end gaga got extremely vulnerable and explained herself in a true way - and it just shows why no one should underestimate her. jamie was trying to prove that she was more calculated, but gaga is calculated for a very specific reason. she has to be as an artist in the modern world. jamie lee's points about openness and rawness and acting were good tips for her though - but yes sometimes she did come off condescending. but in all honest she wasn't wrong. it's just again a bit of a lack of understanding.
Lady Gaga's answer at 26:30 is truly profound. If I ever meet her, I want to resist the urge to take a selfie and just talk to her, have a normal conversation, express to her how much work means to me and then just genuinely have a conversation.
Both of these women are smart, funny, beautiful, talented, and powerful. I LOVE that they had this opportunity to speak and get to know one another, and we are lucky enough to see it!
I feel like JLC was asking Gaga like what is Miley Cyrus to Hannah Montana as to what is Stefani G to Gaga. It was a great question, and I believe Gaga answered that perfectly.
I do agree with everything said. However when people take videos/ pictures with celebrities or at concerts, I disagree that they kill the moment. At a 2 hour concert an average individuals would have their phones out for just about 15-20 mins, sometimes a bit more. And I think the power of technology is really beautiful because 50 years down the line, when we can literally "LOOK BACK" on a memory much more clearly through a video, it will bring a huge smile to your face. I honestly don't see the harm in wanting to capture every moment. It takes a few seconds. And it doesn't mean we aren't living in the moment.
i think she was more referring to when fans ask to take selfies when they meet her in person, that whatever normal human to human interaction she's having with them is gone the moment they ask for a picture. as far as filming/photographing concerts go, from my experience i've had 10x more fun at the shows where my phone stayed in my pocket the whole time. I realized that the beauty of seeing a live concert is witnessing the art through your eyes, not through a camera lens. thats what youtube is for.
We have largely forgotten the intimacy and relationship of performance to audience. It's different on the East Coast and Europe a bit, because there's always been a strong theater community that's always been respected. Like every relationship it's a two-way street. The performer gives the energy of the performance and the audience returns the energy back. We have forgotten that it's a relationship and we have a responsibility as well. To pay attention and participate. Entire concerts reduced to a murmur because everyone is recording and can't clap their hands or too distracted to sing along. We expect everything of the performer and give nothing in return. It's rude, inconsiderate, and selfish...and no one cares. Serve me. Nah, I don't buy into that, that's wrong to me. Put away the phone, live in the moment, let your mind and heart record the memory you'll have with you forever. Not some shit quality clip that's barely a shadowy echo of the real power in the moment. Call me old fashioned. =p
I love how Gaga really LISTENS. You can tell she’s making notes and respects JLC so much. I adore these two together. Hopefully we see a project down the line!
When Jamie mentioned Sarah Paulson and Laurie Metcalf I freaked out because that is exactly what happens when I watch them. My jaw drops from the effortlessness. Love both of these women.
I love both of them so much and to see this interview, well let’s just say I felt special butterflies inside. Jamie Lee Curtis and Gaga are both so amazingly talented and I honestly had no idea this interview existed.
Really insightful conversation, both women asking genuine in depth questions to each that I doubt an in interviewer would. Fantastic. I could listen to them forever, so sad it ended.
Such a joy watching these two exchanging personal experiences . One can always learn from the older generation but the younger generation with that fresh approach to life has a deep contribution as well.
The conversation between GaGa and Jamie Lee was captivating to me and flowed back and forth between two distinct artistic woman Thank you for choosing the two women
I have to say, I really enjoyed this entire interview. I have liked Jamie Lee Curtis since I saw her in the original Halloween and I loved her on Scream Queens, and Gaga no doubt I have loved since the beginning, but being able to hear both of them speak about their experiences and what it means to them and what fame represents to them is truly eye opening. I have to admit I am one of those Little Monsters that puts Gaga on a pedestal, but that is only because I adore her so much, but now knowing that she wishes to have those moments rather than it being wasted on a selfie or an autograph really shows just how much we as fans miss so many opportunities because we are only thinking about ourselves, rather than that fleeting moment we can have with someone we look up to. I would love to meet her and if I ever get the honor I would take the time to allow her to have that moment with me than ruining it as she described; hearing both of their thoughts is just fascinating and it is something we all should think about when we look up to someone famous and how it affects them rather than what we want or what we want to take from them, rather than taking we should give them as much as we can back as they have to us through the art they create for the world.
Two highly intelligent and strong women having a great, deep conversation. If either one felt the other was being disrespectful, they would have called each other out on it. Diplomatically of course. Kudos to both of them. Real talk.
This started off a bit like two people who don't speak the same language and turned into a beautiful interview with two people from very different perspectives willing to listen and explore each other. So, so good.
Thumbs up from anyone who remembers Jamie Lee Curtis' rocking body in "Body of Lies", love this woman! And no better woman to interview the fabulous Gaga x
I really enjoyed this interview. I too wish that fans of famous peoples really realize social media is taking away from the personal moments of concerts and meet&greets. Not everything needs to be captured.
I loved this. I love how Jamie Lee Curtis won't let an interviewer (not here) rush or force an answer out of her. She makes them wait for her to choose her words and get her thoughts together. And I have said what Lady Gaga/Stephanie said about applying different acting techniques while working out the character but then throwing it away during a scene. So basically we're BFFs now. (Grabs my phone to take a selfie with her.)
Actors and artists in general are such sensitive, precious and valuable beings that do us so much good that we need to protect them/it with our all of our guts 🙏🥹
I love gaga's ability to just truly listen
Warning. There is something very spiritually wrong with Lady Gaga.

+Mirhima Sultana boo all of gagas pop hits are classics. and it's sad that you have to resort to making fun of someone's looks to hurt them
Barbara, you must love Gaga more than anyone else seeing as though you're going out of your way to comment about her :)
I do think Gaga is very intelligent in the way she portrays herself, people are always talking about her clothes, her image, her performances, not about her personal life.
this is so true
i agree. even for us "common people," everyone we meet has a different perception of us, and that's all different than our perception of ourselves. so it's natural for performers to present themselves differently in different situations. just like how Gaga explained it, she is all of these identities of herself all at the same time, she just has to present different aspects when she's a musician vs. when she's an actor
that last sentence shook me. it’s so true
She's genuinely one of the best celebs to ever exist. She's amazing and does a lot of charity
it's really awesome,, her whole career was intended with love and light. she worked for nothing for 6 years JUST for her love of music.
Thank you.
It's crazy how a lot of people don't notice this. It truly is a teacher-pupil session, here.
@@jazzsolocup3291 omg this is so true
I feel like they could play mother and daughter in a movie

Yesss
Yes, let's speak it into existence!
Jamie: are you real?
Gaga: I´m from New York.
Jamie: ok but are you real?
Gaga: I´m Italian.
PokeKid5000 lol
PokeKid5000 I’m italian too #loveuGaga
what the hell does she mean by real anyway? those kind of questions are usually empty with meaning
She's gorgeous either way but that's your opinion
kazeet456 no she’s beautiful
jamie is so mature, both so real
Lady Caca is real as her stage name hihi
Gaga is one of the most genuine people in the industry. You need to get your facts straight!
Wow, That's a lack of class on your side, LG would disapprove :(
@Sweetpea lmao no they both have vaginas but go off
These two had the most amazing conversation. There was no slow down. They just kept building the conversation.
"A nickname that I had for me at my best" best definition of what Lady Gaga is
Who's back after A Star Is Born and Halloween? These two are killing the game!
Now with Halloween Kills and House Of Gucci
@@rocko.ambition4342 now Halloween ends and joker 2
I don't get enamored with famous people anymore (I'm grown), but there is something about Lady Gaga that fascinates me so that I stop and listen to her every word and watch every move. And I'm in love with this set design btw...I want every piece as it is in my basement/bedroom/home office
MrFanomusic24 : Totally for me too! (The part about Gaga, not the set.)
There's a few people in the world I'm enamored or infatuated with. They speak well, listen well, and you can tell there's a great energy about them. I'm 23 so the people around and under my age tend to look up to or favor people that have nothing to offer or contribute to learning... Or simply inspiration at least
It's not about praise or whatever it's just enjoying certain people, and if they are familiar it's nice
Much respect to Ga Ga. This is an intelligent, talented, focused, person. Love to dance to her music, now I want to see more of her in every field of art.
American horror story
Intelligent? She said she doesn’t care about fame while also has a song called “I live for the applause”
She’s dumb as a donkey 😂
Great talk.
Exactly !
Power to you.
...go, Ms.Cat...;)!
Therapy with Jamie Lee Curtis should be a thing. Love her ❤️
To each is own I guess.
Omg fr
An interview between Cate Blanchett and Lady Gaga would be intersenting :)
lol
oh my god!! yes
yesss
fuck yeah
Hmm I don't know. Cate is on a totally different level. There's a great conversation in this series between her and Ian McKellen, it's brilliant. Gaga is not at that level - yet...
It’s interviews like this that truly turn appreciation for ones talents into admiration of them as individuals.
2016: No! I wont show you this video!
3 yrs later, 2019: RECOMMENDED FOR YOU!
UA-cam always messed up man!
Kudos to both.
i think she was being judgemental, she just didnt know how to sugarcoat it so she wasnt clear because she couldnt finish the sentence.
@@QaadirHoward yes I don’t think that was a good follow up talking about another actress being draw dropping.
GaGa impresses me with her intuitive nature and her ability to explain how she feels with such clarity and intelligence. And Jamie Lee, is still her great self. 🙏💕👍🏿
I love Lady Gaga. A True legend!
+Jose Rios I like Madonna and I respect her brilliant carreer, but Gaga to me is a special and extraordinary artist.
+Jose Rios She will be a legend do might as well call her one
Lady Gaga is very much a legend in my eyes. Don't know what some people are on about...
+Jose Rios Well then you better start calling her one now.
MADONNA don't know how to sing ,but LADY GAGA she know how to sing and acting
The respect in this room blows me away, you can tell that they both appreciate their fellow actress
So Good to hear Vocabulary for once
Right? Its like she didnt use "ultimately" in every other question 😍
Erik Torres Yes 🏆
6:35 "If I was going to take a guy home, f**k him, and then eat him" *holds straight face through-out*

MrAirplanefreak777 Same
Way to go Sarah Tanno! If she did her makeup that day/night.
A very entertaining and fun and informative interview.. Thank you variety
yeahhhh like maybe some other people in the comments when this started i was like "Jamie's kind of rude..." but like.... she's actually really smart and just has maybe a blunt (?) personality idk if that's the right word. and Gaga is kind of selfless like she doesn't seem to let her ego get hurt so those two factors combined i think Gaga was able to see Jamie's intentions and not get too defensive and they powered through and i respect them both for being able to have this conversation
Exactly!! thank you
these two people on here are the ones i love the most.
Jamie Lee Curtis has always been one of my top favorite actresses ! She is the definition of timeless beauty ! Love her ! 🙋🏻♀️
I feel like Lady Gaga would be a really good candidate for the role of a Bond girl in an upcoming James Bond movie. I don't know why, but that just came to me and now I can't stop thinking of what that would be like.
It would be cool for her to do the song as well. I'm waiting for Sia to do the bond song though.
She would never be a bond girl. She would be Bond
+Oline Margrethe yasssss!
+Oline Margrethe omfg yeah can u imagine ..omfg xD I would love to see that!
She would probably be both XD
this was a great interview! i read here people complaining about Jamie Lee Curtis. why ?? she offered Stefanie that true moment and true conversation that she is talking about and that she wants. She told her about the experience that she has being an actress for so long and wanted to know about her true feelings and methods. great interview.
Stefani O_O she is such a good actress, singer and writer
Jamie Lee was wonderful in this interview with Stephanie. She was bonding with her & it was beautiful! Stephanie did an excellent job communicating with Jamie all the way around. Loved it!
This is the most powerful duo in show biz ever
The voice of mature success experience and the voice of focus -success. Both GRAND WOMEN in my generation. Great role models.
I love Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanatta...unreal, so much talent. She could just paint and be a multi millionaire, play piano, or her favorite, writing songs. She doesn't have enough time to do it all!
She has her entire life. She's fine.
Тимур Иванов X'D
Her surname is Germanotta
This was beautiful. Jamie is so thoughtful and wise and Gaga is such a beautiful and talented person who is able to listen and not take over. This was such a beautiful moment.
I feel like watching a Scream Queens' episode. Dean Munsch interviewing Lady Gaga. 😂😂😂😂😂
this is an amazing concept. A win-win for everyone involved here. You have two new fan bases to reach out to every episode. Instead of having an interviewer and one star, you get two stars as the interviews and interviewees. Genius.
I love how real and down to earth they are. Lady Gaga seems like a very interesting person.
Jamie Lee Curtis is a woman/actor to be respected. Lady GaGa treated Liza Minelli with such respect and love, It touched my heart, and I will never forget that!
I like Gaga's speaking voice in this interview. I don't like when she speaks in that slow baby voice she has done in the past.
She was very young when she became famous she talks about it in her documentary, how that if you become famous when your young you never really grow up
That’s because she is fake AF!
Chris Hanson she did that 2 much in star is born
chiqichiqi No she's not. You are FAKE !
Why am I just seeing this? Two FABULOUS women and I have such a huge crush on both
Damn, I didn't expect this conversation to be so deep. They really said somethings that got me thinking about creative process and the culture of fame. Thank you!
That part about the camera is so true. When you stop and take a picture, you're really STOPPING to take the picture. You're stopping, therefore killing the moment... damn never thought of it like that....
Thank you for the magic, Gaga! It was really interesting to listen to Jamie Lee Curtis too. I've got so much respect for actors
I love Lady Gaga - she is so inspirational, I learn something new from her every day!
melody zerah I know
And now they’re on a race with A Star Is Born and Halloween
As a trauma victim myself I completely understand that she is everything she does creatively at one time. Trauma victims are very very good at internalizing characters and implementing the good parts of characters creatively into their self due to most if not all of their lives they are acting okay or acting differently for the world around them. Trauma victims are great actors and actresses.
Surprised some people still don’t know how talented Gaga is as an actress. She studied theatre and acting but that’s okay wait until A Star Is Born comes out.
Gaga is good at everything, very unique.
How do you feel being right about everything ever
Jaime Lee Curtis has so much wisdom. I want her to be my mom.
21:20! True Lies! Jamie and Stephanie’s comment ring so true! Jamie was so awesome in that scene!
at the end, what jamie lee curtis said about changing fame culture is so funny because it just proves that she may see gaga for this huge star - but i don't think she truly understands her art and purpose for being here. she is actually here to change fame culture in a large way - it's just something people may not recognize until she is gone, sadly. almost everything she does is a commentary on fame.
i will say that i think sometimes jamie lee curtis proved important points but at the end gaga got extremely vulnerable and explained herself in a true way - and it just shows why no one should underestimate her. jamie was trying to prove that she was more calculated, but gaga is calculated for a very specific reason. she has to be as an artist in the modern world.
jamie lee's points about openness and rawness and acting were good tips for her though - but yes sometimes she did come off condescending. but in all honest she wasn't wrong. it's just again a bit of a lack of understanding.
Lila X THANK YOU
Lady Gaga's answer at 26:30 is truly profound.
If I ever meet her, I want to resist the urge to take a selfie and just talk to her, have a normal conversation, express to her how much work means to me and then just genuinely have a conversation.
I love Gaga but became a super fan after I saw her on American horror story. She blew me away. Something very hypnotic about her
Both of these women are smart, funny, beautiful, talented, and powerful. I LOVE that they had this opportunity to speak and get to know one another, and we are lucky enough to see it!
They both seem so passionate about their work, I love this interview, thanks for sharing it😊
I feel like JLC was asking Gaga like what is Miley Cyrus to Hannah Montana as to what is Stefani G to Gaga. It was a great question, and I believe Gaga answered that perfectly.
Foreignmonkey Same is like she JLC was Like smiley Cyrus to Hannah Montana as to what is Stefani G to Gaga
I realized that the beauty of seeing a live concert is witnessing the art through your eyes, not through a camera lens. thats what youtube is for.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Treachery_of_Images
+GHOULD Right on!
no... enjoy the moment.
I love how Gaga really LISTENS. You can tell she’s making notes and respects JLC so much. I adore these two together. Hopefully we see a project down the line!
Both women ruled 2016 and now they are on top again with A Star is Born and Halloween
When Jamie mentioned Sarah Paulson and Laurie Metcalf I freaked out because that is exactly what happens when I watch them. My jaw drops from the effortlessness. Love both of these women.
This is the best one I've seen so far. I really feel like these two understand each other.

I love both of them so much and to see this interview, well let’s just say I felt special butterflies inside. Jamie Lee Curtis and Gaga are both so amazingly talented and I honestly had no idea this interview existed.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this but it turned into one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Thanks Variety! o_O
The conversation between GaGa and Jamie Lee was captivating to me and flowed back and forth between two distinct artistic woman
Thank you for choosing the two women
Gaga looks stunning in here.
When does she not?
Love these two together💖
Two highly intelligent and strong women having a great, deep conversation. If either one felt the other was being disrespectful, they would have called each other out on it. Diplomatically of course. Kudos to both of them. Real talk.
This started off a bit like two people who don't speak the same language and turned into a beautiful interview with two people from very different perspectives willing to listen and explore each other. So, so good.
I like to see Jamie & Gaga work together!! They have a spark.

Towards the beginning I felt Jamie Lee is being condescending to Gaga but may be I judged her too early into the interview
i got the same vibe
Same
Yeah Jamie Lee was kinda condescending
Yeah same here.
Bingo. Jamie portrayed herself as a jealous has-been (damn fine tits in Trading Places with Aykroyd and Murphy though, sorry Tony).
(Grabs my phone to take a selfie with her.)
idk what theyre talking about in this interview. i just came here to watch gaga serve face!
Her outfit is giving me life.
Yes! I'm obsessed
Perfectly said. 19:26 Gaga is like WTF is happening. LOL

My gosh watching Jamie Lee and listening to her is so dang inspiring.
