      us population(2020) is ~335 million
      ok 530 times 2(higher than average for the us) every generation until it's to diluted to matter (5)
      that's 2650 out of all the people in the us so it's negigible
      now if they were all in one town or island that would be a problem but there spread out and they're children will spread further I hope the sperm bank services the entire us not just one state because that concentrates it a little too much for the less populated states

    I was an egg donor. Before signing the contract I was asked if the clinic can reveal my identity when the result of my donation is of legal age which is 18. They clinic said it is for health reasons and that the actual parents had to tell the children too because of the possibility of meeting an emergency unknown sibling. I donated a total of 4 times and at one point they harvested 39 eggs from. I am not sure what the couple did with all of that but as far as I know I have like 5 or 6 kids out there plus my 3 own children. I wonder if the kids would want to meet they will all be 18 by next yr.

There have been many donors that have contributed to 50+ pregnancies. Personally, I think that if you did not impregnate the woman yourself, you legally are not the father.

    i know it’s odd but i wish i had a family that huge. i love my siblings but we’re not very close. it doesn’t feel like as much of a community as i wish it did. i have 2 half sisters and 2 brothers. i have one full sister but she died in the womb. i just remember going to my eldest sisters wedding party and crying about how her other brothers were ten times closer to her and my other sister than my and my brothers were. we’re very different families. my side is very traditional and we’re not the lovey type. though, sometimes i wish we were. i love my family to no end but at the same time, it just feels a bit distant in a way when i look at my half sisters side or even other families for that matter. we don’t hug, don’t hang out like we’re friends, don’t text or call outside of essential communication. my second oldest sister is the one i try to bridge that gap with the most. my brother doesn’t always like her but i try to get past that because she’s still my sister. idk why man, but i just want close siblings. i’m closest with my older brother now but i’m not completely open to him since he was kind of a sick to me when we were kids. he openly admitted to full heartedly hating me when we were younger. he used to bully me and sometimes hit me (not in the completely abusive way you’d think though). he didn’t traumatize me but i spent a long time disliking him.

      I wouldn't be so sure of that. After all, in the United States women that become pregnant by having sex with minors can still pursue child support payments from the father. And even be owed payments from when the father was a minor.

    The sad thing is that humans evolved from early civilizations where social community groups were around 250 people. Science has shown that a person can only have meaningful connections with up to that many people. If there were 500+ siblings, none of them would be able to have bonds with more than half of their siblings even if they tried. Even though the lawsuit group had around 140 people, that's still a lot of new faces in addition to people they already knew prior in their lives. Each sibling realistically may only have an actual connection with less than 30 of them, especially over time when they inevitably drift apart again resuming their individual lives.

    • @Ilikefrogs..
      @Ilikefrogs.. 4 місяці тому

      I don't think they have to have bonds with every single sibling for this movie to still be beautiful. The people who have similar interests will find each other, bond, and stay close. Everyone else will be people they check up on, or spend time with around holidays and birthdays, and text with once in a while. The point is that everyone has more love in their lives than they did before.

    • @SpiritHawk7
      @SpiritHawk7 4 місяці тому

      @@Ilikefrogs.. My comment was about how the movie overlooks the fact that even though there's this discovery that a person has more siblings than they thought, so that they aren't alone, thus giving them an excuse to have a connection, that at the exact same time it's also pointless knowledge as more than half of them will continue to be literal strangers to each other regardless of shared genetics. It's too many people to meaningfully care about - to care deeply for your sibling as you realistically should.
      Aside from a mother's bond with her child, the next strongest and longest lasting bond is between siblings. It's a shame that not all of the siblings would be tight-knit like how they should. Families aren't intended to be that excessively inflated, especially on a single level of relation.

    "Delivery Man" was better, but both versions are good.
