thx man your video really helped me!
At least your expectations are set knowing something will break... because BMW
Thx! Any idea of how to remove a window divider (outside) that got glued? I have the assumption that this divider was glued onto the frame after one of the pre owners changed (or let changed) the window glass... Because there is no way of getting this thing out with just levering it a bit and than pulling it out...
not 100% sure what divider you're talking about. If you are referring to the vapor barrier ( the thick black foam piece that's glued to the door ) that's normal.
Any time you remove it you need to reseal it with butyl tape or some type of sealant. Otherwise if you don't when it rains the water won't drain properly from the door and will just drain down into the floorboard of the car.
@@TheMysticSpade Thanks for your reply. Talking about the part you removed at 10:26.
@@brunosel1 oh…. If that’s glued you’re definitely in a bad spot. It’s not impossible to change the regulator without removing the window. You would need to invest in a tool that is basically 2 suction cups and a string that you put on each side of the glass with the string going over the door. That way the window stays up and out of the way.
@@TheMysticSpade yeah.. :(
Thanks again for your reply! I mean I bought this exact part yesterday as a replacement part, so basically I can "destroy" the old one by trying to remove it... but actually I have no clue how to get this off. Any idea? Do you know if this part is directly attached to the auto body?
@@TheMysticSpade just for information and it might help someone: Used a hot air dryer which made it possible to remove the glued divider.
