The Bigfoot pizza is what fed a family of 5 with a single mother trying to support her children....memories of the Bigfoot pizza still flood my memory to this day..It was missed indeed and not hated at all for those who ate it as children... it was a genuine treat indeed
If they were smart they would bring it back.
Bro I loved the Bigfoot pizza. Still sad to this day we lost this masterpiece.
@@bighomey4343 they did a few years back but i think they called it something else.
Cooking single moms is what feeds kids.
We used to order the Bigfoot pizza, too. 😏
'Pasta served with a fried chicken tender, a seemingly weird combination.' Has no one told this woman about Chicken Parmesan?
I have had chicken with pasta b4, but never fried chicken
Has she never heard of jollibee? Lol
@@KrystalKBeauty is that like spangles?
Or Jollibees... They even add sliced hot dog pieces in theirs.
disgusting
Woah that Bigfoot pizza brings back memories. My parents didn't have a lot of money but twice a month we'd buy pizza and that was the pizza we bought. My brother and I loved it.
Fried pickles are popular at a lot of Southern restaurants. I’m surprised Sonic discontued it.
You can still get them at some Sonics in the South. I live in the South and several of the restaurants (including a couple of Sonic style drive-ins) and bars here sell fried pickles and iirc the couple of local Sonics do as well.
Batter probably sucked back then🤣
Fried pickles are popular everywhere, makes me think they had a bad recipe, lots of places here in CA have them.
@@willr7849 they're popular in Colorado too
@@kevinbond8966 isn’t everything? Lol
Those frescata sandwiches were fantastic, and honestly, worth the slight delay.
I loved the bigfoot pizzas. My mom and I would split them and leftovers would freeze well and crisp up well in the oven.
I had it once ... we were a family of 5, eating at the restaurant in Canada ... everyone left the restaurant starving and parent haves spend 50$ for a huge pizza made by extend a medium one and a soda pichet at 10$ ...
Yes...they need to run that back..i luved them
Leftovers, psssh what's that? Pizza calls to me with it's siren song until I eat all of it.
Yeah I was 7 when that was around and my parents got it alot but I didn't pay attention to how big it was, I was just happy to have pizza.
The bigfoot was awesome, enough for me and my 4 siblings and my folks to have at least 4 plates for each of us. So yea would love it to come back.
The bigfood pizza was amazing. I remember my family buying it multiple times, and I still wish they'd bring it back.
I miss the bigfoot pizza. I remember game nights with my friends on my SNES and lots of pizza and 2-liter sodas. Fun times.
I know exactly what you're talking about great memories
That pizza and mortal Kombat was "flawless!"
Facts,big foot brings crazy nostalgia
Exactly! I felt triggered to hear that the Big Foot was a fail!
Me too. I didn't even get a chance to to eat it
Odd that Arby's has made their brand of fast food popular by basically serving deli-style sliced meat at fast food tempo, and Wendy's couldn't figure out how to do it with their Frescatta sandwiches.
Exactly Arby's does it in a minute. Yet I still got to go to Subway for a delicious mouth watering sandwich for it's unique taste.
Funny thing is I worked sandwich board during the frescatta run... It didn't take that long to make them. It was the food cost that did them in.
Some Arby’s are great and some just plain suck!!! The one near where I live is a waste of time - the lobby hasn’t been open since before Covid (can’t seem to get people to work I’m guessing) and I had doing the drive-thru as the people either talk so loud you can’t understand them or talk so soft you can’t understand them and just hope you get the food you ordered. We were in Aurora, CO for Christmas and the Arby’s there was fantastic. I had their 4-piece chicken tenders several times and they were great. Come to find out that our local store doesn’t have these - just the same crappy 9-piece. I’ve been a customer just about from the very beginning more years than I can count - I think it’s the franchisee and people they try to hire that either make or break the place.
Is anyone else as surprised as I am to learn that Sonic has been around for almost seventy years?
right??👀
True
And yet he’s creator says he’s a young teen who’s only 14 years old
and i never even had sonic
@@thaliahorta7216 Huh?
I used to eat an entire Bigfoot by myself when I was 18yr old and this was when I was bulking up for the gains. I wish pizza hut would bring back the bigfoot, because their Detroit style is more sauce than anything.
LOL Spaghetti with fried chicken is definitely not weird to me. When I was raising my boys, I cooked it once a week, with cornbread. Spaghetti with chunky meat sauce, fried chicken wings, green beans, and cornbread.
I cook it 🥰
Faaacts...
Yeah I definitely eat fried chicken with spaghetti.
Out of interest, where are you from? Your surname sounds Igbo...

Loved the Bigfoot pizza sleep overs, pizza parties 💯
I worked at a Pizza Hut for a few months in 1993, and the Big Foot Pizza was extremely popular.
I'm sure there were profit margin concerns with it or something. Special pans were needed, and the damn things took up space in the rolling oven where you could fit 3 to 4 regular pizzas (so it slowed the line down considerably). But they definitely weren't discontinued for lack of people buying them.
Nope but they did in 2010's come out with the Big Pizza box that was about the same size.
Yep, I remember the Big foot been REALLY popular and I do believe it wasn't sale or it's popularity that killed it but as you mention it was the prep work and it slowing down production all around.
I worked there at the time as well and agree 100%. We sold them like crazy.
The McWrap was pretty good. Should have been a seasonal item.
i like the Mc Donalds chicken wraps
They need to bring this back.
My goodness I have forgotten all about the Mc waps. They were small but delicious.
They still can be obtained in canada
This was legit the only thing at the clown shack, I would willingly eat!!! I haven't been there since they discontinued it!!! And, yes, they need to bring it back!!
The Wendy's near me had the taco bar in it and they were really some of the best tacos ever. I was only like 8 years old but I'd eat all the tacos I could get. I don't remember there being a pasta station though.
Wendy's has a taco salad now and I like it better than taco Bell's.
I remember kfc buffet and Pizza hut buffet with pasta/salad/pizza and desert.
@@veterannavy304 man I miss Wendy's in my fast food experience for burgers covering McDonald's Burger King Super macs Wendy's Five Guys my ratings in other Five Guys Wendy's Super Macs Burger King McDonald's now the note at the end is I don't hate McDonald's but all these places I listed simply have better burgers and burgers will always >>> fries so yea
@@kurtpunchesthings2411 Five Guys and WhataBurger are the only good ones. Five Guys being to best. Everything else is just food nostalgia…it’s not a good burger in the overall contest of all burgers…if it’s from McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, etc….definitely shouldn’t be rating those because all they are is something to eat on a empty belly…not apart of any competition
The problem with fried pickles is that people underestimate them, you gotta make them just right with a proper batter ratio. We love em mixed with fried jalapenos in the south but so many places make them straight trash.
Fried jalapeño poppers🔥
I still think about the big foot pizza. I had it when I was young. I didn’t know the sales were bad. I loved it
You forgot McPizza from the early 90’s.
You couldn’t get drunk enough to make that taste good at 2:00 AM
We loved the Superbar at Wendy's! Great way for poor college kids (and anyone else!) to load up cheaply.
IMO, Wendy’s should consider reviving the SuperBar and spinning it off into its own individual restaurant chain!
They’d really make a killing!
@@pooky-changaming4089 Yo, the post you replied to basically highlights exactly why they would not make a killing. They would be the ones getting killed. Start a restaurant based entirely around their money-losing item? Let's gooooo!
I remember being at my home town Burger King when I was in high school - when the dinner basket thing was happening.
My friends and I actually didn't mind that it took longer as we were there just to hang out anyway.
What struck us as weird though, was the fact that there was a magician there - one who didn't seem too thrilled to be there, though, probably because there were no little around there the night we were there.
OMG. We had the Bigfoot pizza at all my Campfire Girls meetings when I was a kids and we'd huddle around it in awe.
Wendy's should've increased the price for their All You Can Eat food Bar it was literally too good to last for starters it was too cheap & super demanding for the Restaurant staff
Fact: mc spaghetti here in philippines is popular because of their one and only rival here the jollibee.. jolli spaghetti is so popular here mcdonalds is really having a bad time competing on it

Feeling very repetitive
Pizza Hut failed the moment PepsiCo bout it. They changed everything to make it more scalable for takeout. They were good when it was a family sit down restaurant. They're probably way more financially successful now, but their food was much better in the 80"s and early 90's
Taco Bell has shrimp tacos
@@EbikeAdventuresSD Del Taco is much better
God bless everyone
Fried pickles dipped in ranch is BUSSIN. My girl put me on.
@6:52 The Big Foot!
I loved this as a kid. It was great for large groups, birthday parties and family get togethers. I miss the Big Foot.
When I was 16-18 in the early 2000's we would go to pizza hut and get a salad to go and pile that thing 2 miles high for $2. Best thing for teenage stoners 🤣.
I loved those Wendy’s Freschatta sandwiches! I was sad when they were discontinued!
Little Caesars had good quality ingredients back in the day when they had the bigfoot pizza and slices for $1
Yes they did back when they first came out I remember when I worked there. Now it's cheap crap and if you don't eat it while it's hot it tastes like cardboard.
@@Blackjacksnapper I disagree. I think it depends on who's behind the counter. Alotta these youngsters are just novices. Than again a good trainee can bring back that ceasars delight any night. Well I have to agree with you it was surprisingly deliciy in the early 90s🤤
Yes they sure did.
No they didn't, our taste was just less sophisticated back then, but everyone always insists that X chain was better "back in the day" when the truth is most successful chains have been only improving their quality standards in order to remain competitive with fast casual and other modern trends.
@@therealCamoron Its because they were all kids lmao. Theyre all acting like oldheads.
Actually Taco Bell came back early 2000's with the shrimp tacos that actually taste good to me.
Then it looks like they learned their lesson from the Seafood Salad. They overlooked the main reason it was discontinued and that was cause of the many food poisoning cases.
There used to be a long John silver and Taco Bell combo near me, and I LOVED shrimp tacos!
Um...Spaghetti and fried chicken IS a staple on the tables of very many soul food dinners... my mom and many of my relatives served spaghetti and fried chicken... I find it STRANGE a restaurant like Popeyes have not adopted spaghetti as a side dish...I grew up in north Saint Louis Missouri and soul food is very common there, just saying.
What's up with "soul food"? Food is food right?
@@noobslayer6915 not always...soul food has more flavor than various other traditional American cuisines do... people who like Chick-fil-A have not had good soul food before.
@@motleybyron4997 Oh ok....so soul food is just another way of saying great food then. Or just food that synchronizes well with eachother.
@@noobslayer6915: "Soul Food" is a type of cuisine like Italian food is a type of cuisine.
I'm from Georgia and we always had fried chicken with spaghetti too, nothing about it ever seemed "wierd" 😊
Me and my friends used to eat the Bigfoot at sleep overs in like 3rd grade.
I love how this is supposed to be fast food fails, yet several of the items are still in existence today.
The local pizza hut I used to work at has the big Pizza pans for making the big Pizza
The filet o fish was released in the 60s. It wasn’t newly released in the 80s for Taco Bell to compete with.
No but there was a resurgence of the meal in the 1980's that Prompted Taco Bell to make its meal.
I was working at Burger King when they introduced that enormous omelette sandwich. That thing was extremely popular for about six weeks, then you'd make maybe one a day after that.
I remember when that came out. I tried it once and went back to my regular size breakfast.
I felt very badly about one of my co-workers at the time. She was beyond morbidly obese, to the point of going bald. She'd eat one of those massive Berger King breakfasts every day when it came out and then had a massive lunch. It was really sad. She would make a point at saying how her large soda was "diet" and she's "exercising" after work.
I wish Burger King would bring back the Breakfast Burrito that they had in the mid 1990's. The Burger King's here in Tyler Texas don't have the Breakfast Burritos anymore.
I feel like it must have taken 6 weeks for everyone to try one, then wake up with the crampy squits and swear never again. After that, there was nobody left to fool.
@@mage1439 *Squits?* -- Or, SQUIRTS?
I cannot walk into YOUR Canadian McDonald's to order a burger without knowing French first!!!! Da hell's wrong witchu people up there? Imma gonna slappa da snot outta yo face wit da wet spahetti. Mama Mia
We always went to Pizza Hut for birthdays and while they had it, always got the Bigfoot pizza. It was great to us and fed everyone. It was always a great time for our birthdays.
No freaking way! Pickleos were delicious! They brought them back very briefly around 2004 and I loved them.
You kinda resemble Christina richie
I just got some like last week
If Wendy's brought back those sandwiches I'd be happy to wait for them. Their regular food takes a few minutes and it's always hot as opposed to McDonald's that you get in 20 seconds and it's ice cold.
Most McDonald's in Chicago make all sanwhiches made to order now..
The best sandwich that McDonald's had was the arch deluxe it was a grand a beef patty on a potato bun with lettuce tomato pickle cheese peppered bacon and horseradish mayo and they never made it again
I miss the Frescata sandwiches. They were good.
That omelette sandwich slapped dude. I gained at least 5 pounds eating two of those a week 😂
Spaghetti in the southern states of America is typically served with fried catfish or chicken
Uh, no it absolutely is not. I've lived in various states across the south for 36 years and I've literally NEVER seen spaghetti served with catfish. That's ridiculous. Catfish is served with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw typically. Spaghetti in the south is typically made with a meat sauce using ground beef. Not chicken, and certainly not catfish.
@@ranaevalentine9876 you loud and wrong
Amanda is very loud and wrong because
I live in Chicago and half of the fish restaurants serve spaghetti and fish,so I'm wondering where do these people come from

I think it’s a sin that Burger King breakfast sandwiches never look anything like they do on tv.
Sadly nothing in a fast food restaurant really looks like the picture
Mostly nothing atleadr
@@Chesseroni oh yea they get special artists to dress up the display food to look alot better then it is the irony is they spend more time doing this then making an actual Burger if they only put more time into making a Burger Holy shit they would have something nice
But those sandwiches is all that burger king really have to offer that's actually good
That's because they don't use real food in the commercials, they use model food which is actually very expensive, because it looks better on camera than real food does
The Chopped Beefsteak Steak sandwich from McDonalds in the 80s was soooooo good. I would love to have it again
I don't understand how the Bigfoot pizza was a failure. We loved it growing up and it was basically the best thing Pizza Hut has ever done
my first job was at pizza hut back in the 90's.... you are absolutely clueless how popular the bigfoot pizza was.... it was a huge rectangular pizza for $10.... your video fails horribly on this bit of info alone
I remember our school teachers ordering those big @ss pizzas lol
I worked at one in 1993, and I agree that the Bigfoot was super popular. My assumption is that the profit margins from it were terrible... those long-ass pans slowed down cooking times for everything else.
Pop Quiz, fellow Hut-sufferer... do you still remember how many pepperoni were on a medium pepperoni pizza? Nearly 30 years later, and it's still emblazoned in my memory.

I was born between "Big Foot Pizza" and "Superbar". Not sure what kind of fails there were in '97.
Best thing to come out if Taco bell has to be Nacho fries. That needs to be a permanent menu item.

I won't lie, that omelet style sandwich at burger King was pretty amazing. When I lived in Hawaii there was a location that still made it.
Pickleohs? Gone before i was old enough to try one. Glad I never got to try it.
Pretty sure lots of these items get discontinued because they overprice them. Bought because of hype but never bought again because of the prices compared to other menu items.
I remember the bigfoot pizza, we used to get that pretty regularly. I was a kid in the single digits.
I'm sad i never got to try that pita bread with salad and burger- seriously it sounds super tasty.
Man I would like to try some of those foods
Lol great video keep them coming

Regarding the Breeze:
Freezer technology has come a long way since the ‘90s; factor in that fact, and the rising resurgence of fro-yo, and there’s no reason why DQ wouldn’t benefit from reviving the Breeze!

I loved the Mc Afrika so much, the yellow curry sauce was simply amazing. I ate a lot of them in the short time they were available.
Also side note. I love the editing and funny movie inserts are awesome
Ah yes, the Bigfoot Pizza where the National Marketing director at the time was Reggie Fils-Amié yeah that Reggie that in just over 10 years would become the Head of Nintendo of America
Taco Bell served shrimp tacos a couple years back. I know because I worked there. So Taco Bell did dabble in seafood after the failure of the seafood salad.
The Bigfoot Pizza was slightly altered and rebranded as the Big Dinner Box, you can get three medium rectangular pizzas in the big dinner box, basically the same thing but easier for crew to deal with.
The "Enormous Omelet" was awesome!!!
I worked at Pizza Hut during the big foots time they sold like crazy and we hated making them monsters!
Well no shit it's a joke to make a pizza bigger then a foot wth you need a bigger pizza for you do realise the bigger pizza the better chance the stuff doesn't cook evenly and you get luke warm toppings and sauce in placed
@@kurtpunchesthings2411 Actually, the cooking aspect they had down to a science. Don't remember ever having one returned for cooking issues. The ovens we used were rolling ovens, and with the pan being 12" wide, it actually got cooked fine every time (because along the length, every part got equal cooking time)
I did, too. I forgot what a pain in the ass topping those things was.
My guess is that they were discontinued due to profit margins, because they were popular as hell. But they would slow the line down to a crawl because if you had one or two of those in the oven, it couldn't be used for anything else. Never mind how much time it took for us peons to make them.

Snappy Tomato pizza is a chain around where I live and they have a version of the “Bigfoot pizza” called “the beast” it’s like their most popular menu item, they’re great for parties and such
Ocala FL has one, but I haven't had their pizza in over 20 years. The place I worked at sometimes ordered from there for large meetings. I really don't remember how it tastes.

That enormous omelette thing sounds delicious I want it
This narrative sounds like a combination of the watch mojo lady and the “burger king foot lettuce” guy.
Spaghetti with fried chicken is awesome. My dad got me hooked.
I remember that BK breakfast. It was a once a week treat when I was in high school. Delicious
In my neighborhood the Pizza Hut had a contest for schools the prize was to have Bigfoot monster truck show up at your school full of Bigfoot Pizza. We won it was so cool seeing Bigfoot. But in America we love food that takes a few years off your life
To be fair, spaghetti in the Phillipines is its entirely own thing anyway, it's not really surprising that their market would jam on McSpaghetti.
Also, I remember it being called the "meatnormous", and not the enormous omelet, but that breakfast sandwich was phenomenal.
I'd eat that sandwich, cut it in half, and share it withabuddy. Looked striking.

@@Amanda-hn1im would you prefer "non-traditional"? Filipino spaghetti is a very sweetened take on the dish. It's also quite popular with hotdogs which you'll never see in any self respecting Italian dish.
As I said, "it's own thing". Actually used to have pretty funny conversations with some former coworkers about the right and wrong way to make lasagna and spaghetti, we'd always tease each other about how the other was doing it wrong lol.
