    so I've been watching your vids ,is there a reason I've never seen a subaru stuck ? I'm a north dakotan and I've takin it through 19 inch of snow with ease but never mud .what's your thoughts ? I mentioned to the subaru dealer about putting a winch on the front ,he looked at me like I was crazy and said he's never seen that before .

      They won’t get stuck, I’ve seen plenty with winches on the front. They also have rear hitch winches.

    sometimes it's amazing what 500-1000 lbs of pull will make such a difference when it is just slick. I wonder which is worse florida black mud or virginia red clay.

    Is that a kinetic rope? If so what brand?

      @matt.mckinzie  Рік тому +3

      That was a “Grip” after about 3 jobs it took a crap
      We now use factor55 kinetic rope

    My first thought, as I was watching was, why did this guy go back there without a winch? But I now see that he did have a winch, but nothing to hook to. Has anyone ever used a winch anchor? Do they work?

    • @matt.mckinzie
      @matt.mckinzie  11 місяців тому +1

      We have one and they do work
      But not always
      Super soft muddy ground they don’t hold
      Rocky ground you can’t get them to dig in
      But we have used them a bunch

    i personally wouldn't want a diesel 4wd for off road front ends so heavy gas burners seem to do much better around here

      He had a Tacoma for years and years
      It took a crap finally and he traded it in on this truck about 2 weeks before this
