lovely victorian gold...really like the young head, sheild backs..jubilee is nice too. great vlog as always. i was born in 78...so just about remember the hay penny, the pound note...and my first ever 5 pound crown,..my mum got at the post office when i was kid.
I’ve been drawn to the Queen Victoria coins for quite a while. Recently, I’ve been watching the PBS series about her life. Learning more about her has me appreciating the coins bearing her likeness even more. Thanks for another great video Numi. ✌️
There is a sale scheduled for March by heritage called the paramount collection. They have the coins on their website and will be interesting to gauge how strong British collectibles are v USA. Every milled gold proof is there including an Edward viii 5 sovereign!!! Looking forward to that maybe you might get a preview and film these?
i think it was a big mistake coming of the bretton woods gold standard...now look at us...chaos. had to watch this three times lol , really enjoy seeing the key date years on the pre 33 british gold proofs. superb
Very nice! Have you graded or came acrost any of the 2020 Great dates of humanity Marquis Lafayette octagon silver coins? If so what is your opinion and how are they doing?
Thanks for this excellent video. By coincidence I splashed out earlier this week on a 1923 South African proof sovereign PCGS PF65. I think the Victorian proofs are beautiful but the post Victoria proofs are the ones to look closely at now, particularly those with relatively low mintages and decent grades.
Hi Numi i have always loved sovereigns, i only own one king george which i wear with pride. However after watching you're's and other collectors videos i've decided i would like to start collecting all the heads in bullion grade halfs or fulls, how do i go about starting out?
One day maybe lol... The Older proofs are just so nice and have to say for me the 1839 would be the year to go for just because it also had the Una and the Lion in the same set which I could never afford
LIKE all half sov but the is1839 HALF sov is my preferred one, wanted but is really expensive for me, but I like 1887 as well, I have 2 of them but is MS 64,62 NOT PF, I am interested to buy . I don't how much will cost the proof ones. Can you help whit an estimated price PLEASE?
I was looking at an 1893 south african half pond on Dr. Peus, with an estimated value of 250 euro. I almost laughed. I don't know who comes up with these numbers for different auction sites, but they're usually off by somewhere between 10-40% in either direction. Point is, it's hard to make any kind of conservative bid, b/c it's not just desireability, but also participation and subjectivity.
I have the 1893 half-sovereign and I bought it to go into a folder which I got off The London mint Office it is called monarchs of the twentieth century which house 5 coins from the silver threepence coin then the sixpence, shilling, crown then the half-sovereign which I bought my self The London mint Office wanted to sell me a full-sovereign for £465 but I said no thanks.
I love these old British proof gold coins, especially the 5 pounders. Alaskan who love Brit coins.

Sir: would you be kind enough to give us your views (in general ) on the Indian Heads (pre-1933)?
1 million fake ones around unfortunately. Better to buy them already graded. If I wanted to buy one I would aim for a proof.
@@Numistacker Proof must be pretty rare!
how worth is a 1886 USA 10 Dollar Coin!!!
