This takes me back to my very young childhood years. My very first computer that I accidentally destroyed when I was curious of what the computer looked like inside.
I had a commodore plus4...after a few years I opened it and ruined the display output on it loads of things kept flashing and flickering I put it back together before dad new he would of taken my head off it cost him 100pounds
This video is such a vibe and I can't really explain why. Like the crickets in the background, old computer noises and just laying in bed messing around with them. This makes me nostalgic even though I've never had any of this tech
That machine was $595 when it was released in 1982... that is $1683 adjusted for inflation at 2021. When the NES came out 3 years later, it was $150 in 1985. Gaming was rough back then
This takes me back! I kinda wish that games today don't have loading times anymore, but on the PS4 at least there are loading times, ok, to be honest now they load for 20 seconds, not a couple of minutes like on the C64 and the game sizes are not 50 or 100 KB, but 50 or 100 GB (so 1024 times larger)...
I agree and not thinking about all updates that take forever. I just got a flashback when updating win10. I mainly use Linux so I needed to guard the pc when it booted to Linux manually reeboot to win 😂 everything did take hours still I have 250Mbit internet and Thinkpad with 24GB ram and 2TB SSD disk 🤔 In sometimes it feels like history is repeating its self.
Me at 2021: my laptop has weird sound for second* Me: AAAAAAAAA IT WILL EXPLODE HIDE *ww2 siren* LOAD MACHINE GUNS LOAD RIFLES wait it was just sound of hdd Kids at 1990: huh is okay We need start panic when it start really burn
Just got a c64c today..never had one before as a zx spectrum was my 8bit computer of choice...i do have an amiga500 buti wanted a change...i forgot how tedious an experience it was lol but has a ton of nostalgia.
Who'd have thought. Commodore 64 ASMR video. Imagine getting a jumper for Christ mass and thinking you've seen that stripey pattern before... Imagine if those downloading noises were loaded with subliminal messages for our brains ..... Hmmm
Hello, thanks for the nostalgic journey. *Can you record all this sequence of sounds as a wav file at 44KHz or higher (32 bits float) and upload it somewhere for download please?* I want to use those sounds without any mp3 / video encoder huge loss of frequencies. Thanks to post there the link for download. Regards and thanks
That isnt a 1530 datasette ......or 1531 .....what type of cassette player is that and why is there sound commodores i ever had were silent when loading even the pets
@@joveaaron-real Probably it starts load then give error. In Finland they once transmitted data stream over FM radio so you could record that on tape then try to load.
ua-cam.com/video/Gvh1ypI1Hpg/v-deo.html @12 min, this would probably happen. They transmit an commondore program over normal FM radio. So people can record it and then play same casette in c64.
Audio levels could be low. Also, the tape mechanism might need cleaning. Does it happen with all tapes you have? I have no Commodore 64 but I know a lot.
GTA Vice City Intro Rockstar Games North.

You are talking about the horror-like found footage vibe, right?
@@UberCletus Yes absolutely
We've all been that dog waiting for a game to load.
And when you sneezed, you had to do it all over again...

It was more like 20-30 mins on the C64!

I had PogoJoe on tape, it took a full 11 minutes to load. I did not play much PogoJoe.
I LOVE THIS MACHINE
Thanks for sharing!
I had a ZX spectrum but really wanted one of these, so much better.
A nice summer night in 1986...
Remember trying to start this up and not wake the parents.

I do think this is interesting but seriously I would have played outside so much instead of PlayStation 2 if this is what I had

I've never seen a datasette quite like that one. What is the name of that model?

I'll wonder what will happen if you put an audio tape in a commodore 64
Nothing all that interesting. It'll just spit an error at you, if you try to load it.
@@EvilSandwich but what will happen if you switch them? Like mix the first part of a game with an audio track
