If you buzz a boat within their casting distance your just kinda a dick, as a johnboat fisher ill tell you people tubing are the worst they almost flip your light boat with 1 pass
If he slowed down it would create a much larger wake. That boat probably had the last 6” of the hull touching on plane. And if iyour not in a no wake zone then tough shit. You should know people come through there. Its the same as telling your kids to not play on the main road. I guess we have to tell adults too
I don't understand this as an inshore saltwater angler. It's different here because channels (albeit sometimes 20ft wide) are the only way, so if you're camped on the edge of a channel, tough shit.. But aren't freshwater lakes pretty open?? If so, what a dick! **Also difficult to tell the true distance through video, but seems like a BS move on that guy. lol
100% - it’s definitely a gap between land and an island - GoPro set to superview to capture as wide of a shot as possible also makes distances look further (and fish look bigger)
At least an accurate guess on the distance! More about courtesy on the water - it didn’t ruin anyone’s day. I’ve had jet skis and paddle boarders within a rods length lol
Well I mean honestly. There’s been tests done with cameras and a boat overhead. It’s amazing how conditioned they get to noise. But yeah I mean in the derp blue with giant predators. You actually drive the bait. So I guess my point is. Your fishing. I’m not. Why you bitchin ? I’m not.
Man we had a dude do this last weekend on the missouri while paddlefishing. Dude watched me cast and moved all the way over to my side of the river and drove over my line just being a dick.
So the other day we took our new “ used “ boat out for the first time and a boat came flying by while we were anchored and something crazy happened when the waves came; the waves like hit a shallow spot or something and became like 3ft high it was the craziest thing. Wicked waves it looked like a tsunami lol. It was just that one time too
For sure - it’s definitely not that big of a deal and the intent wasn’t for it to be. A GoPro filming is superview also creates the illusion that he may be further away than what he actually was. Similar to not getting over on the highway for a stopped car on the side of it - when you have about 500 ft of space to run by someone and you choose to go by about 90 ft. It’s just a come on man moment. I’ve always made sure to give lots of space especially if I’m going around someone pointed out and fishing in the direction where I am running. It sounds like I should stop that
Hilarious how entitled you guys are... always liping with people about what the "rules" are, and then you cry and whine about all the unwritten codes you think the general public should give a single f*** about 😂
@@fredericksalyer3304for sure wake isn’t the issue. The faster the better. Just courtesy - if I see someone changing a tire on the side of the highway I move over another lane - clearly some don’t!

The first sentence here is the reason for the post. I can assure everyone neither of our days were ruined by this event 😂
Don’t get in big water in a little boat if you can’t handle it.
@334bassin7 it's not "big water" as naturally there wouldn't be waves on a lake as large as the wakes those stupid toy boats that ppl rent put off
@@334bassin7 I think I can handle it brother haha
@@lucasmurphyfishinghe was definitely talking to the dude with the jon boat comment lol but it always tells me i get tagged too
he was far enough away
This wouldn't bother me or the fish,
I've caught fish IN wake LOL
Facts, but it does rock the boat quite a bit 😂
@@got1769that keeps the bait moving like its alive. Lol
Better to stay on plane vs going slow…nice job!

You can still have some respect about ppl fishing..I always slow down it’s not that hard
That was a respectful distance in my eyes
Maybe I’m bias but I love seeing a right hand cast into right hand reel 💪
Far enough away. Flipping & ripping boys !!!

I get water skier's and jet skis way closer than that that guy was probably 100 feet away

Thats when you send a quick desk pop about 10 feet in front of their boat
Desk pop? Like from the movie the other guys ?? lol classic

😂
We going to jail over nothing with this one lol
We have to complain everyday to feel good..
Yeah imagine what us shore fisherman have to deal with, it’s EXTREMELY annoying, even in a no wake zone it’s crazy.
He seemed far enough away plus his wake never touched you being up on plane.
We call them all bassholes
Plenty of room.knot that close
That's a bass hole for ya!!!

All bass boats act like that
Bro fishing next to a channel cry about people driving by 😂
Tell me about it
🙂↔️
Didn't know we just stopped doing water sports when the all mighty fishermen were around.
People should stay a half mile away from fisherman duh
Bruh. Is it really that hard to just stay away? You have an entire lake and you have to ride 30 feet from people trying to fish😂
Yee Yee
You in 𝓪 bad spot in the first place and plus him going faster makes less wake for you to deal with so you should thank him
But it’s not “your” brush pile
ur fishing public waters. What do u expect 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Maybe he didn't realize that you own the ocean..🤔 #GTFOH
Oh, he’s supposed to know where your brush pile is. Got it. Don’t be a baby.
I’ll try harder
There is no try, only do.

He wasn't that close. Like the fish on the brush pile have never encountered a boat going by before.

Kerr lake in North Carolina

He's a inexperienced boater.
Common sense should tell Him to go on the other side or slow down
It’s just disrespectful.
Why? It's a lake, everyone is free to enjoy it in their own way, you don't own it and your hobby isn't more important than his.
