There are 2 more coros special edition watches. They released the pace 2 Molly Seiled and Eliud Kipchoge editions.
BTW, I love the watchface and I hope they release it for all users. The new beta update improved a lot in the watchface front, too.
Actually they released a lot more special editions for older watches 🙂 original Vertix had a Mojito edition and Desert Sol. And not that special (they were not that much pieces limited) Space Traveler and Ice Breaker editions. I am surprised they didn't come up with any new Vertix 2 edition along the way.
For sure! I just meant special editions of the Apex 2 Pro specifically.
I am more a Garmin user and recently purchased the Fenix 7X pro sapphire solar and love it, however this Coros Chamonix edition is a wanna have watch. I love these limited editions. I love your channel for many years.
The EK special and the KJ are just so nice looking. I feel like the colors are nice for this one, but I would happily buy the other two in comparison.

Excellent vid, thank you for the walk through. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one! Curious to see what Coros has to offer instead of Garmin. Looking forward to testing it against my Enduro 2 during my 48 hour fixed time event in November.

Great review & thanks. For a 5-7 day backpack without recharging, would you recommend this watch? Did you use in "Standard GPS" mode or "All Systems On" mode ?

Not my colour. I really like the Killian edition! It would be nice if Garmin did this with the Fenix or the Forerunner.
I don't love it, but I think it looks fun and it should match with most running attire colors.

I ditched a fenix 6 fpr an original apex pro and have not looked back at all tbh.
The wellness metrics and HR data on the garmin were better, but that was about it.
I train with a strap so that's moot, and tbh dc rainmaker and many others don't seem to trust the wellness data all that much anyway.
Coros is way, way, way easier to use. No more googling how to find basic data. In the year I have had the coros, I have only accidentally paused when I meant to lap once, on the fenix it was almost weekly.
The app is so much nicer.
The original apex pro has a waaaay better satellite accuracy, and the altimeter is actually reliable, compared to an f6 too.
The newer garmins are apparently more accurate gps wise though.
Honestly, look into it a bit more. Only you can decide, but I doubt I will go back to garmin soon.

@bluetoothom garmin has a lot of "fluff".
In all honesty, you just need time, pace, heart rate, distance. And coros does that nicely.
I have a pace 2. And it's very very comfortable. If coros pace 2(or the next pace 3)has/gets music and hrv status, I'd easily ditch garmin. The apex 2 has music and simple hrv so maybe I need a apex 2....

Dave can someone have two Garmin watches and use them on different occasions? Will they sum up the steps or the health data?
Do you also know if someone who jumps to Coros ecosystem has the option of loading his past data there so that they can have their running history together? Thanks!
With Garmin there's a feature called "TrueUp" that allows you to wear multiple devices and have all of the data aggregated under the same account. It works really well and includes most of the health/wellness stuff as well as the activity data.
If you were to jump ecosystems you can use something like "RunGap" (I have a video about this) to sync your data between platforms but there's no built-in way to do this... for obvious reasons lol.

I don't like the band. I can't imagine how you keep it clean. And velcro is a double-no for me. Those fibers pick up everything and can really abrade if you don't line the band up perfectly.

That's why I don't like the Montane Gecko race packs with the velcro at the diaphragm level
The nylon bands are certainly personal preference... COROS makes really nice one and they hold up well and stay clean if you shower wearing the watch. That said, it's super easy to swap out the band for a silicone band if that's your style.
