2:23:42 Throughout the game, you can actually revisit this area as often as you like, and you can find Joker's goons working on building and painting that thing, making more and more progress on it as you go along. This game is notorious for small details like that; things you wouldn't notice at first, but they make the game that much more beautiful as a work of art.
Here are the best things you can do to get high combat challenge points -Try and keep your combo unbroken throughout each round, the higher the combo = higher score multipliers -Doing the move where batman flips over goons doesn't break combo and can reposition you well or get you out of a sticky spot -Using some gadget variation during combos can help get more points -Not getting hit obviously, can hopefully pair this with not breaking your combo for the rounds -Using ground takedowns when it's safe and using combat takedowns (when your combo number is yellow) can give higher score multipliers than just a basic hit In my opinion the biggest thing to focus on is having an unbroken combo for each round and trying to mix in those combat and ground takedowns
A big part of the score is the variation. You want to set up for each of the types of attacks (everything counts, including gadgets, and I think there's 8 or 9). I remember when I was going for the max score, I had a specific routine I would do in order to get all attacks, specials, and gadgets.
Yeah using special takedowns is something she hasn't gotten down yet even in Arkham City. She thinks the yellow combo number means you can get critical hit. She calls it "critical strike mode" when her combo is yellow. She has a misunderstanding of the fundamentals all the way through her current Arkham City playthrough. And you need to mash X to some degree or else your combos will break if you aren't attacking fast as seen in the begining of this video. The problem comes when you whiff attacks which means you weren't pressing a direction towards an enemy and end up punchin air and losing the combo.
I love the fact that you focus on the Riddler stuff. I hope you'll be one of the few who completes all of them before starting Arkham City. Love the playthrough!
You should know, all the other Arkham games also have their own interview tapes. The only difference is that unlike this game where you find them, in order to unlock them in the other games you have to find enough of Riddler's trophies and solve his riddles.
I know I comment this every episode, but I'll say it again: I love this playthrough. You're so invested in every detail of the game. You even went to play the challenges. I love these games so much, but even I never really wanted to do them. You're always so excited whenever you learn something new about the lore of this world, and it's so fun to see; it's like I'm playing it for the first time again 😊
This video is hilarious for many reasons! I see a lot of helpful comments that can help improve combat score but one thing I'd say to look out for is whiffing attacks. It happens when you press the attack button too many times after the goon you were fighting has already fallen over.
Hey Kasta, loving your playthrough so far! Your Batman playthroughs have inspired me to go back as well and get the platinum trophies for the Arkham games which has been a lot of fun. To improve on the combat, the most important thing is to build up your combo and making sure your attacks don't miss. It helps to know that the third attack of your combo will always knock the target down and every following hit will knock down your target as well until you lose the combo. When they are on the ground and dazed, you cannot hit them with normal strikes. You have to wait until they start getting back up or do a ground takedown. So a good rhythm is to focus your first three attacks on one enemy to knock them down and then start jumping from enemy to enemy to knock down all of them. In the challenges, different attacks are worth varying amounts of points. Normal strikes are only worth 10, the special combo (B + Y) takedown is worth 50, and ground takedowns are worth 100. Points are calculated from your combo x type of attack, so you want to build up a combo and then use special takedowns to earn a lot of points. You can check the left side of the screen to see exactly how much each attack is worth. Also in the predator challenges, you earn medals by fulfilling specific conditions. You can view exactly what they are by pressing select once you start the challenge. The combat in these games is so great because it's easy to pick up and enjoy right away but there's also a lot of depth in mastering it. I'm really enjoying this playthrough and looking forward to the future ones for the Arkham series! 😊
This was the game that got me super into Batman back when I was younger. All the tapes and lore stuff you find in the game introduced me to a lot of Batman villians I never knew about as I had only seen the movies and the cartoon.
Missing combos will also make you score less in the challenges, try to complete the round in a single combo and your points will increase (Using more moves and quickfire gadgets during the fight will also increase your points). And when the combo's counter became yellow you can make a takedown (like B + Y or X + A). Loving the serie btw! You're gonna love the other games!
This is how the combat works in a nutshell: you need to spam to get a combo of three to enter something called "free flow". You'll notice you enter free flow when during the third hit, it'll go in slower motion. From there, Batman will at least knock down every enemy with a singular strike (it will eventually be knock outs if the combo gets high enough). Every strike you get once you enter free flow (i.e. a combo of 4, 5, 6, and so on) will increase Batman's targeting range and his speed. Eventually, you'll reach a state of literally just ping ponging around the entire room knocking out enemies. However, it is critical you understand that the range and speed will both be low at the beginning of free flow. I think most people don't make the correlation that Batman gets more range and speed depending on the player's performance and so it might feel inconsistent. It's also important to note that you also have more time than you think to move the direction of the joystick to target your next henchman before actually striking. I think a lot of people think they have the same time window as the first three strikes (where the combo drops instantly if you don't do anything) and feel pressured to just hit strike when their joystick is targetting no enemy, resulting in dropping their combo. If you think you need time to breathe, you can double tap jump to keep jumping over henchmen which doesn't break the combo counter. It can be useful to watch someone who's mastered the combat buy YT algorithm might start recommending you spoiler videos.
1:07:41 best part of the video was discovering the challenge descriptions in the menu. You got hooked on the challenges. They got me when I played. I mastered them all - combat and stealth. They do improve your in-game methods. A fun method with a weak wall. Rig the back of the wall with explosives, stealth take out a henchmen in front of the wall, then wait for the crowd to gather before the wall and ignite. You can lure a thug in front of the wall with a Sonic batarang, if needed.
I absolutely love seeing you collect all the Riddler stuff. Its so satisfying to watch. And good news about City: The bios are often very similar, but they are adjusted for villains you met in Asylum to give you a sense of what they have been doing in-between the games. And the voice tapes of City are just incredible. Sadly locked behind the Riddler stuff of City - and thats a lot. I would heavily recommend checking them out on UA-cam if you decide its too much, nobody would blame you.
Try some of these pointers for high scoring free flowing combat - Make delibrate presses of the attack or counter button at the right time (Timing is Key) or it will break the combo. Higher the combo the higher the score multiplier. - When the opponents are further away they can't hit you so don't hit Counter when you are out of range of the goons or it will break your combo. - Best way I achieved free flow combos is I used Evade (the move used to flip over Stun Baton goons) more than Counter as it gives you more time to plan your next strike without breaking your combos & even if you hits evade at the wrong time it won't break your combo unlike using Counter. - Be careful using back to back Evade where you don't flip over a goon because it will break your combo. Plus don't stay standing/still for more than a second or it will end the combo. - Use the quickthrow Batarangs to keep the combo going & gain some variation bonus especially when you have some distance from the goons. - Use Combat Takedown when you reach x5 combo for variation bonus & especially to take down difficult opponents like your Knife/Stun Baton guy especially if there is multiple of those specific guys to keep only regulars goons to keep the combat staight forward & only having to use variations when you want to & not that you will have to. - Use Ground takedown only when all the goons are down & you can't continue the combo otherswise or when its the last goon & he is on the ground. I used these methods & some other game specific features to achieve x2731 combo in Arkham Origins challenge map 100 to 1.
“Me too, I nearly chocked on that bony hand of his” That is disgustingly funny. Who knew Killer Croc had sarcasm and a sense of humour. Am I wrong for laughing at that
Hey Maggie! During all those combats you should jump over the enemies. This advice helped me a lot to get the highest score in all the challenges,. It allows you to maintain the combo if you keep punching enemies while you are jumping and defending of them.
tips for the combat challenges: 1) don't get hit 2) use all of your skills in an unbroken combo (strike, counter, stun, evade, takedown, throw, ground and pound, batclaw, and batarang) This doesn't need to be done in any particular order or even consecutively (i.e. you can do 2 strikes then 3 evades then a counter and as long as the combo wasn't broken you get credit for all 3 skills) but you do need to do all 9 for the best bonus. This isn't super important until you get to the extreme challenges. 3) get the highest combo you can, preferably unbroken for the entire round. This is the most important thing you can do for points. If you are struggling with this, one thing I found helpful was to evade over a henchmen after every attack. It gives you an extra second to evaluate where all of the enemies are and to choose who you want to attack next.
You don’t need to glide kick when you have an enemy isolated just land behind them and silent takedown. Glide kicks always inform the other enemies of your location. Don’t forget to use your regular batarangs, they’re very helpful in stealth. Utilize corner covers and your bat claw as well, if you pull an enemy over a rail with the claw, it’s an instant take down.
Others gave the best advice for combat, mine would be 1. Do not panick. 2. Do not button smash. 3. Think of it as a quick time event. You'll get the flow of the combat but I'll say that Arkham Asylum has the sloppiest combat and stealth system of the series. Of course this is the base for the other ones, but they do nothing but improve it, and even if they become more challenging, the learning curve is extremely smooth for the next games.
@@Kastaclysm kinda late but try focusing on your next move rather than the threat indicators, it will keep your mind elsewhere and you wont have time to panic
When it comes to later games introducing some of the mentioned characters that don't appear in Asylum (Firefly, Two-Face, Catwoman, etc.), one thing you need to know is that Asylum was basically created as a setting-agnostic game. It was aping the comics for the most part and didn't consider itself as having a separate continuity. In later games, once the series started making its own canon, some of the mentioned characters (not naming names) get introduced for the very first time and/or are presented differently from how these bios talk about them. So if the bio for a character you *don't* see in Asylum ends up being a little wrong, believe the newer version of events.
I finally got Spectrum! The other day due to the tropical storm Beryl, it hit all of Texas and we suffered a power outage. Now, it’s up and running, get to enjoy Kast a spell on you videos
Great walkthrough! It's great that you pay attention to the additional content of the game. I hope you will solve all the Enigma puzzles and reveal the secret of the spirit of Amadeus Arkham before the end of the game. Good luck with your future videos!)
For combat challenges you have to keep your combo up...the higher your combo the more points you get....doing a ground takedowns give you the most points compared to a normal punch...but only do ground takedown if everyone is in the floor... using your gardgets also gives you extra points
Another great video Maggie, 1 hour and 21 minutes of challenges aside of course, this video was awesome👍. I’m glad you took out the pods, because that saved me and I’m sure others here commenting from commenting on being able to take them out permanently. Have a great weekend Maggie👍.
You need to use gadgets during fights, and not normalny, fast, look at controlls, see how you do Quick batarang, quick gel, quick electric thing, quick claw etc. When you have joker's teeth, just use quick batarang 3 times, and I will be 10 times quicker. Especially in other games, it is crutial to be using quick gadgets during any fight, especially in future games of the series
For keeping the fighting combo up I’d recommend taking advantage of any chance to counter (it will add to the combo and you can’t get hit while countering) also don’t get greedy with ground takedowns (you can’t counter once engaged and you’ll be exposed to getting hit) lastly I’d keep focusing on being intentional with your X strikes like you mentioned (waiting a second to chose the right target won’t kill your combo immediately but pressing X too much and hitting nothing will) hope this helps good luck you’re awesome!
A note about the combat in the Arkham series -- one thing I've always appreciated about the game is that the "counters" always take priority and automatically target what you want. For example, the counter for the knife guys in this game is a stun. This means that if one of them is attacking you, if you press "B", it will take priority and instantly stun him. I think it even gives you a few invulnerability frames and allows you to dodge out of the way after. For the Titan enemies, if you tap the quick batarang when they charge you, it will always target the Titan. For the stealth challenges, it's all about the goals. Nothing else matters (i.e. not getting detected, hit, or seen) unless it's an explicit goal.
A basic strike gives 10 points times the combo counter. If you have 10 different 5 hit combos, that earns 150 points each combo, for 1500 points over 50 hits. If the combo is unbroken, the multiplier stacks until the last hit alone is 500 points. Those 50 moves earn 12,750. Your score may vary if the moves you get to 50 with aren't all basic attacks, but the most important thing is absolutely keeping the multiplier high. Edit: I accidentally did the score for a 60 hit combo, which is 18,300. Whoops.
It's an awesome fantastic Thursday afternoon with more Batman Arkham Asylum, you and Ginger are my favorite superheroes thanks and have a great evening Kasta and Miss Ginger🐈:)
The combat is definitely a learning curve, but once you get it, you'll be unstoppable. Keeping your combos is key, so what I would recommend doing is the flip move where Batman jumps over the enemy (same thing you have to do with the shock guys). This will keep your combo and let you keep your momentum during fights. You can also start using your combo moves more like the takedown and throw as well as your gadgets; mixing as many different moves as possible into your combo will get you more XP afterwards (and more points in challenge mode). Good luck!
For combat sections the little x2 counter also affects score. There’s a standard point value for punches and counters that get multiplied and added to the total score as that counter gets higher. You can lose your combo by just walking/running around. And if you don’t already know this, you can also aim the joystick at a specific thug do go after them. And for predator maps, try and glide down right behind a thug and silent takedown instead of glide kicking. It keeps your location hidden.
The combat is similar in all of the Arkham games. What changes is you get more and more gadgets that you can use during your combos as quick gadget attacks, which makes the fights more and more cinematic and fun. In challenges the more diverse your combo is (use gadgets, different takedowns etc) and the longer the combo is the more score you will get. Few tips for combat: 1. Jumping over enemies (double tap jump towards the enemy) does not break your combo and is completely safe so you can always use it to give yourself time to think and keep jumping over enemies. 2. Special combo takedown which is usable at x8 combo (and with upgraded skill after x5) is very useful, because you are untouchable during it, it gives you time to think on next move and eliminates one opponent. It's best to use it on (aim the camera on the target) the most annoying enemies like the electric stick enemies, dudes with knifes and so on. 3. The ground pound takedown where you finish the enemy thats already on the ground is slow and risky (you can get hit during it) so it is always good to use it on the last enemy (to add more diversity to your combo and boost your score). 4. Quick gadget attacks (that don't break your combo) are activated differently by tapping the buttons without aiming (batman will auto target the enemy your camera is aimed at). 5. Learn to change your camera angle to aim it on your next opponent as soon as your previous hit connects with first opponent and don't spam your button to much. You will get used to it, no worries. Good luck :) For Predator challenges: these are different. Each map gives you 3 specific tasks to complete during them, so check their descriptions before you start. Usually it takes several tries to complete them because you have to learn the movement of the enemies and their positioning (it's always the same at start). It's good to start from the most annoying of the 3 tasks to get it out of the way. For example let's say you have a task to take out 3 enemies with 1 explosive gel blast but there is only 5-6 enemies total on the map then maybe it's best to complete this one first.
Best tip to ace all combat challenges is to keep your combo and not get hit. Thise two things practice in challenge and it will make you a waay better player in the story of all 4 games too 👍🏽
You don't want to drop your combo or get hit(you lose your multiplier which keeps building the more hits you land), this is the main reason your score is so low, because with the stacking multiplier your score increases almost exponentially the higher the multiplier. You should avoid button mashing, and try to vary your attacks(like using special take downs or the quickclaw - I think this is left trigger + y on the xbox)
Personally I think you should focus more on stealth since it’s an essential part of how Batman operates in these games. To improve your stealth skills try to challenge yourself by setting goals and restrictions such as using only silent or inverted take downs or using only one gadget in a challenge like the batclaw or explosive gel. Not only will this improve your stealth abilities but it will also develop your skills at using your gadgets more creatively. In future games the combat system gets way more intuitive and buttery smooth. This game is kind of clunky compared to the later games so don’t think of it as an indicator of your skills. Good luck and have fun!
Hi Kastaclysm.. Love your playthroughs. The game tells you what each Challenge means. When you start the challenge, on the lower right of the screen, the game has start button icon labeling it Medal Challenges. If you press on the start button, it will explain what you have to do to complete the challenges and get the medals. Hope this helps.
In order to get higher scores in the combat challenge maps you have to use the special takedown moves (B + Y when your combo number glows yellow) and the gadgets. You also have to keep the combo numbers going without any interruption, to increase the score.
I had never heard of this comparison of Killer Croc with the croc from Peter Pan. But it makes a lot of sense, especially in that case with Cash, with a hook instead of the hand, because of the crocodyle.
The combat challenges are quick in wanting you to do all those objectives in such a fast time to get all 3 bat stars you really gotta get the timing right for when to use what
U can use a multitude of gadgets including the batclaw to pull people off platforms. U can also use the signal batarang to shock enemies that cone near it
The combat will flow much nicer in the next two games. In this game, combos break off immediately, but the others won't punish you that quickly. I'd recommend using the batarag during combat just by tapping left trigger, you can spam it too.
A tip for the fighting mechanics, think of it as a rhythm game or like playing a song. You don't want to have any pauses in when you're transitioning from enemy to enemy, that will break your combo. It would be the same as listening to someone playing a song. The song will sound bad when each "note" has a bunch of pauses and doesn't connect from notes to notes. So as you strike the enemy try and think of your next move before you transition to them, that helped me with connecting a high combo count. I was able to get into the x300 multiplier in Arkham Knight.
You can actually get to all of the collectibles once you've beaten Poison Ivy. Her plants, tough still around, does not block your way anymore. You may have to look around for a slightly different way to get someplaces.
Only thing you need to get full marks on combat is don't let your combo get broken. Hints would be, stun someone and beat them down to give knocked down thugs time to get up or jump over their heads to buy time. 41:05 Thought for sure you were going to silent the guy in front of the wall then put gel on the wall so you could blow up his friends when they checked the body, bad miss. Then a few minutes later you complete the 3rd task then befuddlingly just wander around and get killed, first time I've shouted out loud during this "Grapple out! Use Grapple!" 1:08:15 Only part more frustrating was reading that as "RT + Y, Ground Takedown" instead of "RT + Y Ground Takedown" since you've done many ground takedowns and should know that is the command for takedown and not dropping down.
keeping the sequence of hits during combat and doing what you talked about in the beginning of this video about button spamming and trying to make each button press a little more timed/accurate will do you wonders. When youre in combat and youre punching person to person, swings into the air or counters to nothing will reset that hit combo counter and set u back to 1x, so essentially the less button presses at random and more specified attacks and dodges shoot your score up a tonnnnn. also pointing the analog stick in whichever direction of an enemy while pressing melee majority of the time scoots u towards them to continue attacks and combos so ur not stuck standing after 1 has been spread out from the others.
In stealth a glide kick is considered loud so instead of doing that throw a batarang then do a ground takedown it’s quieter, also in this game and only this batman game are ground takedowns considered quiet
You can jump over them by double tapping the A button ( PS5 Controller X.) That way you don't loose the combo and it reaches far away stunt with the B helps too. As soon as the numbers glow yellow, us can do the takedowns
Your fighting has really improved a lot just on the first challenge run you did! I will say that the age of this game is showing when it comes to the combat and building combos. The other games like Arkham City or Knight, the combat is the same, but it is more fluid and building combos is much easier in my opinion. Great playthrough Kasta! Looking forward to the other games!
1:25:25 you miss a riddler trophy when you were gliding. Very easy to miss. Hopefully you can get that one. I think you can destroy those mutated plants after they shoot those projectiles by getting near them and press what ever action button it is
Not every Riddler Challenge will be available to do until Poison Ivy is defeated, because when I tried it out there was only 10 challenges I couldn't get them before taking down Ivy. Also I'd recommend the last of Riddler's Challenges at the Penitentiary to solve the Chronicles of Arkham, plus when Riddler said his father was right, I can explain that. See the way Edward solved the challenge was sneaking into the school after hours and studying the puzzle and practicing how to do it in a certain time limit, but the prize was more than $20 there was also a book of riddles which is how Nigma knows so many. (Future me telling you yes you can get down to the lower floor of Medical, you just need to find a vent on the wall above the elevator door)
I for one will never get mad at someone for wanting to get better at the game. I spend so much time frustrated at players, it's nice that there's someone who puts in some effort.
You can 100% the Riddler's challenges before the finale if you want to, they're just annoying to find. It took me a really long time to find all of them before I had to look up the answer. But of course, once I did, it was really satisfying.
To add to what others have said - main thing I see is you’re breaking combos by throwing strikes (whether it be punches, counters, cape stun, etc) on air, which will reset your combo meter. You want shoot for never throwing a single attack without it landing on someone. Always use the thumb stick to aim whenever you’re using any of the action buttons. Also keep in mind you’ll lose your combo if you throw an attack and it’s blocked (knife guys for example will do that). I admire your willingness to become better at the game! Keep trying and you’ll be a master before you know it 😊.
Hey Maggie maybe it's the 100th time you hear this but if you want a couple of tips for your fight combo points here you go 1)Get your combos in the "YELLOW COLOR" where the number of hits is written, every hits and take downs give more points in the yellow color than the white one. 2) Try to get the most variation moves for the "Variation Bonus" so for this do all your different moves in one round....so "hit" is one, "counter" is another one you also got "Roll over, Cape stun, throwing someone, take down someone" and you can use at times a gadget like "batarangs" or "Batclaws" if you can get like a 7 variants you can get like 2000 points. 3) This one you noticed...yeah if you can do it flawless vistory you get the "Dark Knight Bonus" for each rounds it will be hard though...but even MORE INTERESTING is if you get all 4 rounds flawless you will even get a 5th bonus of around 4000 to 5000 points (around there somewhere)..it will be hard but you can do it 4) This one will take a couple of tries for sure, so you also have the "Flawless freeflow bonus" and that is probably the hardest because you need to finish all your opponents in one combo for the round, yes it's hard, but it gives a lot of points as well. 5) Simple tip like this because sometimes they are really subtle, so just a reminder, rolling and cape stunning people does NOT BREAK your combos so with a little practice it will facilitate your fights and you will even see how you can hack this hahaha. 6) What I think you do sometimes is you press the "smash botton" to fast, a tendency I have and I saw it with other youtubers is the higher the combo gets the more we tend to press the "hit bottom" rapidly when sometimes after a couple hits while juggling with your opponents they get scattered everywhere and on the ground so you actully need to slow down your pace and give more precise hits with the direction as well and you can roll a couple of times while they get back up and you can align yourself with the opponents it doesn't break your combos. Alright thank you Maggie for this wonderful playthrought, hope you're doing well and yes maybe I am part of the minority here but yes I would like to see you give these trials another try, if you want who knows you might Platinum it...alright I'll leave you alone have a nice day and if you don't want to do it, then I'll see you in "Arkham City" or on stream...take care see you around
the training sessions are available so get ready this will be difficult not impossible take what you need welcome to the exercise rooms when your done rewards shall appear .
There's easier way to master a long combo, instead of just evade attack enemy with melee weapons you can just do a cape stun on them instead as soon as you can. You can also try to do takedown on enemy with weapons first so you don't have to worry about enemies with melee weapons in combat. You can instantly press counter button as soon you saw the blue counter appear, doesn't matter if you were on combat on somebody else, Batman will instantly counter first. Also instead of focusing melee on 1 enemy in group combat use directions buttons to go around melee them. This combat strategy will be useful for all Arkham games. Combat also got better and fun to play as you go from Arkham city and Arkham Knight. For stealth sections try to use sneak takedown instead of glide kick attack, also try to lure enemies under the Gargoyle for inverted takedown
There’s an alternate route to get to that other floor to get those remaining riddler trophies. I can’t remember where that alternate route is, but I know there is one lol
in order to get a higher score in combat challenge modes you need to use gadgets in the challenges and try to mantain your combo as long as possible to multiply your points higher!
Combat in these games is a bit of a dance/flow. The goal is to build as high of a combo as you can without it breaking. It's not unheard of to have x50-x100 combos in these games. Speed is not the key which is why button mashing just makes it harder. You just hit, look quickly for someone else to hit, do it again and again, but calmly and rhythmically, not fast. This keeps you from getting locked into an attack when you need to counter. Slow and steady wins this race lol.
Awe Maggie looks adorable with her little hat. You look like youre about to go to a baseball game 😊 Always fun watching your play Batman games. I hope you stream Injustice sometime.
I have 100% completed everything in this game except the last two combat challenge maps I just can’t get a high enough score and it’s so frustrating but I love the game so damn much so I can’t get too mad 😂 combat is really hard to master. Been loving your play through for this game. I can’t wait for you to see origins and especially Arkham Knight, because Arkham Knight is my favorite game😮💨😮💨😮💨
One of the most important things in stealth is patience sometimes it takes awhile to get someone alone. If you want to get more batman stuff you should check out the animated series there’s a lot of comics in these games too that show.
So, I don't think this is a spoiler, but the Combat in City, Origins, and Knight is basically the same... but each game adds a few more nuances, but it's all based on Asylum's engine. Then Spider-Man borrowed a lot from it.
Hello, love your reaction to this so far. I like that you’re looking for things using detective Mode. Lots of reactions I watch people are not looking very hard, and they’re not in detective mode? Why look for stuff if you’re not in detective mode…. Puzzling, isn’t it? Hint, defiantly get all the Riddler stuff before you go to the party. Ivy’s plants were blocking access to somethings but now that you have defeated her, you can get all the Riddler stuff before you go to the party…….. Can you defeat a mind such as mine/Riddler?????😁
With just about every enemy (if not ALL), or teeth..... you can use the quick fire batarang, so you don't have to aim each time. You just double tap the Left Shoulder....I think.
Hey I know that you probably won't see this but I just wanted to point out that if you throw sonic baterang at a thug it's a instant takedown. I always use it when there are too many and I get overwhelmed
You can see what the medal requirements are in stealth challenges by hitting select (or whatever the button is to open the map) Nevermind I just got to the part in t e vid where you figure it out, lol
In the nutshell I like your enthusiasm in the games… fake or not but I had glance on it and so far so good i am enjoying some of the games you completing…
I'm surprised you don't use your quick batarangs more.. They make a lot of things easier, since you don't have to aim them first. Thankfully, even though you didn't get used to them in this game, the next game has moments that teach you to use that mechanic, so you'll get better at it 😄
Kastaclysm, I really wanted to tell you in the comments about the ledge takedowns while you were up against the snipers outside on the island but I really wanted to see your reaction to discovering them naturally.
Fun fact: if you go back where you found Ra's al Ghul corpse, the bag will be empty, meaning somebody grabbed his body to revive him at the lazarus pit. Also, there's is a secret room at the warden's office, you could check it out
i really hope you play batman arkham knight its a great game i had lots of fun with it i love your gaming aditude how you have to almost perfect everything lol
2:23:42
Throughout the game, you can actually revisit this area as often as you like, and you can find Joker's goons working on building and painting that thing, making more and more progress on it as you go along. This game is notorious for small details like that; things you wouldn't notice at first, but they make the game that much more beautiful as a work of art.
Here are the best things you can do to get high combat challenge points
-Try and keep your combo unbroken throughout each round, the higher the combo = higher score multipliers
-Doing the move where batman flips over goons doesn't break combo and can reposition you well or get you out of a sticky spot
-Using some gadget variation during combos can help get more points
-Not getting hit obviously, can hopefully pair this with not breaking your combo for the rounds
-Using ground takedowns when it's safe and using combat takedowns (when your combo number is yellow) can give higher score multipliers than just a basic hit
In my opinion the biggest thing to focus on is having an unbroken combo for each round and trying to mix in those combat and ground takedowns
The City ones are really great, its such a tragedy that they are locked behind Citys trophies out of all the Arkham games. At least theyre on UA-cam.
Thank you for the kind words!!
You can get acces to the lower levels of the medical facility through a duct, you have to use the ultra batclaw
"Sugar shacks"
You have the most adorable swears
W on getting here early WOOOO, this game has always been a classic and seeing u play this again brought back fun memories, amazing video as always🔥

Try some of these pointers for high scoring free flowing combat
- Make delibrate presses of the attack or counter button at the right time (Timing is Key) or it will break the combo.
I used these methods & some other game specific features to achieve x2731 combo in Arkham Origins challenge map 100 to 1.
x2731 combo 🤯
@@Kastaclysm Well, lets just say your not the only one with a bit of OCD😅
“Me too, I nearly chocked on that bony hand of his”
That is disgustingly funny. Who knew Killer Croc had sarcasm and a sense of humour. Am I wrong for laughing at that
lol.... I shape the bill on my hats too... like it super bent, lol.
Hey Maggie! During all those combats you should jump over the enemies. This advice helped me a lot to get the highest score in all the challenges,. It allows you to maintain the combo if you keep punching enemies while you are jumping and defending of them.
tips for the combat challenges:
1) don't get hit
2) use all of your skills in an unbroken combo (strike, counter, stun, evade, takedown, throw, ground and pound, batclaw, and batarang) This doesn't need to be done in any particular order or even consecutively (i.e. you can do 2 strikes then 3 evades then a counter and as long as the combo wasn't broken you get credit for all 3 skills) but you do need to do all 9 for the best bonus.
Others gave the best advice for combat, mine would be
Okay, but, HOW do I not panic??? 😭😭😭
There's a vent above the elevator in the Medical Facility.
Whoops.
It's an awesome fantastic Thursday afternoon with more Batman
Arkham Asylum, you and Ginger are my favorite superheroes thanks
and have a great evening Kasta and Miss Ginger🐈:)
Love your way of play
New episode is right when I needed it. Thanks for your work. I'm enjoying watching you play. ❤
Yay!!! Kasta with another episode of Batman! I'm so excited for this 😁
The combat is similar in all of the Arkham games. What changes is you get more and more gadgets that you can use during your combos as quick gadget attacks, which makes the fights more and more cinematic and fun. In challenges the more diverse your combo is (use gadgets, different takedowns etc) and the longer the combo is the more score you will get.
Few tips for combat:
Good luck :)
For Predator challenges:
these are different.
3 and a half hour time for popcorn
There are characters that appear in City that didn’t appear in Asylum, their bios are the same but it’s slightly different towards the end of the bio
1:24:24 My mind cannot fathom how you did not spot that.
Kasta 🔥 yay 👀
"Take a shot everytime I say Nice" commented from the hospital after ethylic coma episode
Yoda noooooooo 🤣
I love this series but u gotta get into the Yakaza series once u do one season u will not stop
1:43:45 - probs for figuring this one out on your own! I had to look it up to get it 😭
The combat challenges are quick in wanting you to do all those objectives in such a fast time to get all 3 bat stars you really gotta get the timing right for when to use what
U can use a multitude of gadgets including the batclaw to pull people off platforms. U can also use the signal batarang to shock enemies that cone near it
There another way to destroy the plants by crouching so the posion bubbles won't come out.
Another amazing playthrough Kastaclysm ❤❤😁😁.
Keep up the amazing work 💪💯
You can actually get to all of the collectibles once you've beaten Poison Ivy.
Use Grapple!"
1:08:15 Only part more frustrating was reading that as "RT + Y, Ground Takedown" instead of "RT + Y Ground Takedown" since you've done many ground takedowns and should know that is the command for takedown and not dropping down.
keeping the sequence of hits during combat and doing what you talked about in the beginning of this video about button spamming and trying to make each button press a little more timed/accurate will do you wonders.
Looking forward to the other games!
don’t forget origins
Hey Maggie maybe it's the 100th time you hear this but if you want a couple of tips for your fight combo points here you go
1)Get your combos in the "YELLOW COLOR" where the number of hits is written, every hits and take downs give more points in the yellow color than the white one.
3) This one you noticed...yeah if you can do it flawless vistory you get the "Dark Knight Bonus" for each rounds it will be hard though...but even MORE INTERESTING is if you get all 4 rounds flawless you will even get a 5th bonus of around 4000 to 5000 points (around there somewhere)..it will be hard but you can do it
4) This one will take a couple of tries for sure, so you also have the "Flawless freeflow bonus" and that is probably the hardest because you need to finish all your opponents in one combo for the round, yes it's hard, but it gives a lot of points as well.
Kastaclysm Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
in order to get a higher score in combat challenge modes you need to use gadgets in the challenges and try to mantain your combo as long as possible to multiply your points higher!
I have 100% completed everything in this game except the last two combat challenge maps
I just can’t get a high enough score and it’s so frustrating but I love the game so damn much so I can’t get too mad 😂 combat is really hard to master.
In predator challenges, bottom right it shows u how to see what the medal challenges are, like fall guy etc. The game literally tells u
With just about every enemy (if not ALL), or teeth..... you can use the quick fire batarang, so you don't have to aim each time. You just double tap the Left Shoulder....I think.
All riddles can be got after the ivy boss fight
Great playthrough
Did no one tell her she can destroy ivy’s plants that shoot spores?
Hey I know that you probably won't see this but I just wanted to point out that if you throw sonic baterang at a thug it's a instant takedown. I always use it when there are too many and I get overwhelmed
I appreciate the tip! _(you'll probably have to remind me about this though if I ever play through Arkham Asylum again the future 😄)_
@Kastaclysm no problem but its gonna be a staying fact throughout the series. (Not sure about arkham knight though)
You now have access to all areas.
You can see what the medal requirements are in stealth challenges by hitting select (or whatever the button is to open the map)
Nevermind I just got to the part in t e vid where you figure it out, lol
In the nutshell I like your enthusiasm in the games… fake or not but I had glance on it and so far so good i am enjoying some of the games you completing…
I'm surprised you don't use your quick batarangs more.. They make a lot of things easier, since you don't have to aim them first. Thankfully, even though you didn't get used to them in this game, the next game has moments that teach you to use that mechanic, so you'll get better at it 😄
When you start Arkham City I better see a 6hr episode lol
Haha, it'll be about a 3 hour episode 😆
Kastaclysm, I really wanted to tell you in the comments about the ledge takedowns while you were up against the snipers outside on the island but I really wanted to see your reaction to discovering them naturally.
Fun fact: if you go back where you found Ra's al Ghul corpse, the bag will be empty, meaning somebody grabbed his body to revive him at the lazarus pit.
Also, there's is a secret room at the warden's office, you could check it out
i really hope you play batman arkham knight its a great game i had lots of fun with it i love your gaming aditude how you have to almost perfect everything lol
great vid
I hate the Remote Batarang in this game.... I never got used to the inverted controls.
Next time your lost on something like the drop down thing. Just look it up.
