Growing a chilli plant from a seed can be a fun and easy endeavor! Germinate chilli seeds in a warm, consistent temperature and use a light compost to sprout seedlings. Carefully transfer a seedling to a small pot, keeping it warm and watered. Upgrade pots as the plant grows, or transfer it to your garden if the weather is warm enough. Pick chillis off of your plant regularly as a flavorful addition to your meals!

freewilly85 did you dry the chillies in sun before sowing the seeds?
No. I just dried them in room temperature
you take them out carefully and plant them in another pot to prevent them from fighting for needs

I've been watching many videos from Urban Gardening. No matter what he's growing, he always gets faster results than anybody else. Is it his climate? Precise soil mixtures? Combination of both? He's a master!

Best video for growing chilies. But if you grow multiple kinds in 1 container you won't know which one you are transplanting therefore is sort of like waiting to know if you're having a baby boy or girl, lol.
yup....u r right...:) yes you can grow one variety per pot/container to avoid confusion ...:)

Awesome 🙂. Great help. Just planted chillies in two of the pots. However, u forgot to mention that we should wash our hands properly after touching chillies this way. Because I touched my face with not so much properly washed hands and it burned for a while.
This is very important. Everyone please wash your hands with a soap after implanting seedlings.

12 inch diameter pot with 10 inch depth for 1 plant ...in a 20 inch diameter pot u can plant 2-3 plants together for better results
I did not know that the chili plants have pretty pink flowers
pink ones are the vinca flowers from different plants

10-12 inch diameter pot is good enough ..:)

organic compost such as vermi compost or decomposed cow dung atleast 7-8 months old is good for them ...add them in the soil after every 20 days..:)

My chillies sprouted fast but not growing length wise, its been almost 10days, what to do? i used dried red chillies.

In partial shade where it can recieve indirect sunlight for 1st 12 -15 days
Half shady worked for me.
Got a sapling and planted it in a small pot. But the leaves are drooping. How frequently to water ? It's kept in my gallery. How much direct sunlight is needed ?
