My father passed away on a treadmill at a gym in front of strangers and no loved ones. The last words we exchanged were an argument. Life isn’t fair, and death doesn’t care about your emotions. I understand what Kevin is saying in terms of letting go, but sometimes good people don’t get that chance to premeditate the end, or at least not in a way that does their heart justice

My great grandfather was 93 years old when he died. He fought in WW2, and had worked since 12 years old during the Great Depression to feed his family. He cherished life, and thanked God every meal and prayed 3 times a day, and went to Church twice a week, every week, and when he got sick he would still watch mass on TV.
I never heard this man wish for death or even say one bad thing about life. He was thankful for everything he ever had.
I knew it was the last time I'd ever see him though when I went to visit him in the nursing home. I noticed his picture of his wife (who died 8 years earlier), and said "that's a nice picture of Nana". He said, "yup, that's my Mary, hopefully I'll be with her soon."
When he said that, I knew it wouldn't be long. He had lost his will to live and all he wanted was to be with his wife. I sat in that room long after everyone left just crying, knowing I'd never see him again. And when I left I gave him the biggest hug and told him it was okay and that I understood he had to go. He looked me in the eyes and shed a tear and shook my hand one last time with the biggest smile on his face and said "thank you, I love you."
    I'll never forget that.

So when I have this attacks I use to think that there is a chance, and it reliefs a bit my thoughts. I'm trying to find my own ways to cope and make sense of the world and reality, you know? For me personally what's helping is to just focus on the good things in life, the experiences, the people you love, what makes you happy- reminding yourself to cherish the moment and the life that you have. That is what we can control, use it to your advantage.

All of us know what its like to not exist, because we've all be unborn. There was no pain, no thought, no nothing, and yet the world still existed. We've gone from nothing to a living organism which grows into a body and becomes conscious. That in itself is so extremely magical that every single person reading this deserves a high-five for winning the lottery of existence - a prize denied to so many. Don't feel worried, feel blessed. The second chapter will no doubt be as equally brilliant and all of our loved ones will be waiting. Love brings people together. Never forget that. Enjoy your beautiful day x

    • @moeskillet6757

Yea but you cant know something if you didnt exist in the first place. its not like we were in a long line of 100 billion people before us waiting for 190,000 years and finally got our turn or we were in a giant group waiting for our number to be called. none of us truly know what the feeling of death is. What i do know is that the feeling must be extremely painful to the point that you DIE from it. And if the next life's better then this why would your loved ones be waiting for you? wouldnt they be going through other obstacles if their are any? or maybe so busy enjoying themselfs that they dont have time for you? or maybe they're in a state where you cant reach, kinda like the living and the dead of our reality.

    • @thedigitalemotion
      @thedigitalemotion 5 років тому +5

@@moeskillet6757 No, this isn't what happens and you've missed my point. Im talking about not existing, I'm not literally saying we know what its like to not exist whilst were in that state, i'm talking about whilst we're in the conscious state we know what its like. The nothingness. And the point you make of extremely painful, well people die in their sleep, they shut off whilst being unaware. No pain. People can slip away without pain. There is a video on UA-cam by a guy who has analysed those at the end of their life, check it out, they always see their loved ones coming for them. Who knows, but there is definitely something happening which loved ones come back.

I had a widowmaker heart attack in 2017 at age 39. On the way to the hospital, in the back of the ambulance, I was in terrible pain. Suddenly the pain was gone. I felt free and just like KS’s mom, the feeling of peace and no responsibility were amazing. I remember not being able to hear anything for a few moments, a fact I only noticed because I could see the EMT shouting at me. I could tell by his face that he was yelling. I remember thinking to myself, “What’s this guys effing problem.” Then the pain came rushing back. I was so close, and I no longer worry about dying. Five stents and five years later, I’m still here.

I met an 85 year old man when I worked at the local hospital, while he waited for his wife to finish her doctor's appointment, he told me about the heart attack he had 35 years ago. He called it the same thing, "the widow maker." He unbuttoned the top 4 buttons of his shirt and showed me his heart, a machine, roiling slightly, whirring, and vibrating just beneath the surface of his skin. I swear I could almost hear the mechanical sounds of each series of beats. But the fact that he had his heart attack 35 years ago was beyond comforting to me. He had an extra 35 years to live (and was still going strong!) His wife came out of her appointment and was annoyed that he was talking to me (he said "she thinks I'm flirting") and it was something else to see this man with a mischievous sparkle in his eye be almost escorted out by his demure, but jealous 80 something year old wife. I played along and was like "I hope to see you again!" as he laughed out loud on his way past the sliding glass doors.

@@poproxx8467 Nobody will claim that it is a particularly easy thing to deal with. My best friend passed away at 36 from a heart failure, he had issues for years before so it wasn't from nowhere. And my dad died of cancer last year. I remember visiting my maternal grandmother at hospital shortly before she passed when i was 15. Some deaths are not what we call "fair", others are completely natural given the advanced years of a person. We all know it must end at some point. The natural instincts to survive is most likely if i may guess, something that younger people feel more acutely - having so much time left.
Dealing with the question of death now and then probably serves a person some good, we prefer to live our lives as if death didn't exist for ourselves - it just happens to others. And we go on doing all kinds of nonsense or stupidities in life. And doing those things to others, arguing and yelling over matters that don't really matter even a week later.
I started to read books at a very early age, always keen to learn as much as i could about all kinds of topics. Eventually you run into people like Plato and Aristotle - and more obscure people in modern age like Terence Mckenna. They all deal with these questions in ways that are really comforting.

Beware of near death experiences where the person is Not a Believer in The Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and comes back with reports of calming bright light and such. And tells how everything is fine and we are all wonderfully conected. No one is going to Heaven and coming back with stories like that. The devil is an angel of light. A liar and the father of lies. If you have not placed your Faith in Jesus Christ then your default destination is Hell. Eternal separation from God. How do you make absolutely Certain that you are going to Heaven?

I held my Father's hand when he passed.
The only thing I can say for sure that I remember feeling besides the immense wall of grief that hits you when you lose a loved one, was his presence in the house and in the garden for about 2 hours afterwards, but then there was a feeling of freedom and release, which made me feel happy again and relieved that he was no longer suffering. He was gone at that moment and I could feel that he wasn't on this plane anymore.
My father passed back in July of 2007 after being diagnosed with Motor Neurons Disease two years prior, and so when it was his time, although he was only 64, it definitely felt like a relief, however it doesn't make things any easier.
It's my belief that his "Motor Neurons Disease" was actually a form of brain damage from long time exposure to asphyxiation caused by toxic chemicals in the air that they pump into that cabin of commercial aircraft.
He flew for many years on the DC10 for Dan-Air, Lockheed Martin Tri Star for Gulf Air, and Boeing 747-400 for Singapore Airlines, and I was lucky enough to have lived in Bahrain and Singapore growing up, so had a rich and culture filled youth as a result of his amazing career. However I believe he would still be here today if not for being poisoned by his employers, and that my family and I deserve compensation from McDonald Douglas (Dan-Air) Lockheed Martin (Gulf Air) & Boeing (Singapore Airlines) which of course we will never see.
Watch the movie called "A Dark Reflection" with Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi for ST TNG) it's all true and it's one of the biggest conspiracies of the modern aviation age.

I'm sorry that your dad passed away early, but you need to ditch the speculative nonsense. Airlines don't "pump toxic chemicals into the cabin" of any aircraft. They in fact take specific measures to *PREVENT* that, since killing their employees and customers is kind of a downer for the longevity of a company. Aircraft have multiple systems to maintain a safe environment in the cabin, and the air quality of the cabin is easily measurable and verifiable.

    • @D0wNF4LLofficial
      @D0wNF4LLofficial 2 роки тому +2

@@jsquared1013 I wasn't saying they deliberately pumped toxic chemicals into the cabin., but the air on certain aircraft, if breathed for long periods of time can be toxic for a person, whether the manufacturers of those aircraft or the airlines themselves knew or not, the fact remains, and if you do your research you'll find what my father suffered from to be quite common amongst pilots that have had a long career in commercial aviation. Newer aircraft such as the Airbus A320 Neo however have a different air scrubbing system, where it won't have an effect on pilots that fly those A/C long term, so perhaps it will only have been my father's generation that are widely effected by it. Its not speculative, as families that could prove it through autopsies have been paid compensation, so it's quite factual actually.

I mean some good evidence I see is that at some point the universe must be made out of nothing when you break it down far enough, and that doesn't work in this physical worlds laws. So in existence basically being impossible you can surmise the existence of a being capable of making something from nothing and maintaining it with infinite energy that exists outside of our universe, similar to how the writer of a book exists outside their story, aka god. there's also decent historical evidence for Jesus, and he did a terrible job of scamming people if he just gave to the poor and taught kindness. Dear Matt, PLEASE read! 💗💗💗
There is only ONE WAY to Heaven! His Name is JESUS! If you belong to.Him then the instant you die you are with Jesus!
You admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior and BELIEVE on Jesus! Place your faith in Him! God's Eternal Salvation is a Free Gift! Jesus Christ, God's Only begotten Son, the 2nd Member of the Triune Godhead, laid down His Glory, took on human flesh, was born of a virgin, and lived the sinless Perfect Life you nor I ever could, Qualified to be our substitute, and laid down His Life on the Cross! He shed His Precious Blood and Paid in FULL for All your sins, past, present, and future, and rose again the 3rd day exactly as He said He would! John 3:16 is the Heartbeat of The Bible! You can do nothing to deserve or earn or keep your Salvation! It is a Gift! For You it is Free. It cost God Everything!
Do you know what Sin is? It is an archery term. It means to miss the exact bullseye. God's Perfect Righteousness! God says there is no one righteous, not even one. So how do you stand blameless before God and spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven? You must be the Righteousness of God! THAT is what Jesus Freely gives you the instant you place your faith in Him! You just come as you are! Pray to Jesus now! Accept Him as your Savior! Accept that His Shed Blood Paid for your sins! Jesus's last words on the Cross were IT IS FINISHED!
Friend your sin debt has been Paid in FULL! Your sins have you Seperated from The Holy God with the death penalty, eternal separation from God in a place called Hell. BUT God did Everything necessary to save you Forever!
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord! Jesus will save you right now! And He will Never Ever let you go! He LOVES you Fiercely and Passionately!
Every Sign He gave us as to the timing of His Return is in sharp relief Right Now!
Many will finally believe on Jesus Christ after the Rapture when millions disappear. They will pay with their lives for their belief in Jesus. Countless will be beheaded.
Please accept Jesus Christ as your Savior today!

There's a WEIRDLY high amount of stories like that from nurses in hospitals recounting that dying patients are having a conversation with a deceased loved one... also very odd that a lot of them, the person dies after the conversation has concluded, almost like they are being cradled through to the other side at a specific pace, which gives less credence to the argument that it's just chemicals in the brain calming you down as your body finally shuts off for good.

I don't fear being dead. What I fear in death is the pain and the trauma and the sorrow and sadness which death thrusts upon those who are still living and dealing with the reality that they will never again be able to see or speak with or hold or touch someone they love and so deeply care for. For example, if I died today, there would be a handful of people, maybe less, who would be quite devastated--I'm not very well-liked, or well-known either, as I've either been left and/or forgotten by a vast majority of old friends and acquaintances, and I never made any new friends after graduating high school over 14 years ago--literally not a single new friend in college, and I haven't had a serious girlfriend since high school. Nevertheless, despite the fact that most have moved on, forgotten, and/or written me off for one reason or another, there are still people such as my mother, my father, my best friend, Ben, my brother, Josh, who would be genuinely grief-stricken, if not devastated, if I died today.
Likewise, I'm going to be truly devastated the day my mother dies, and while she may be at peace afterwards, and I will appreciate that, I will NOT be at peace. And the same goes for when my father dies, or my friend, Ben, and my brothers and other people I love dearly.
So while death itself may not be anything to fear, it's the havoc and grief it imprints upon the souls of the living loved ones who just lost their mother or father or son, daughter, spouse, best-friend, etc., that is so dreaded and feared, at least in my opinion.

I have always found it weird for people to talk about very personal and or emtotional moments of their lives in such a hostile enviroment as a youtube comment section.
I've seen people posting their entire personal life stories in comment sections. Often things they'd talk to about with loved ones let alone strangers. Let alone assholes trolls on youtube. I just don't get that.
Secondly, "little man": To you I sound like I'm about to shoot up a Wallmart? Are you for real? My original comment was nothing more than me rolling my eyes at your comment while at the same time being perplexed again as to why you'd write a multiple paragraphed deeply personal story.

@@JSN117 I said "Little fella," not "little man," and I was obviously joking about the shooting up WalMart thing. I was simply insinuating that you sound like an angry young man (aka, little fella) who either lacks empathy, is too big of a "badass" to admit he has any sort of insecurities or weaknesses of his own, and/or lacks the capacity to show any emotions/feelings beyond anger and frustration, as you're obviously made uncomfortable and apparently frustrated, simply by others opening themselves emotionally and sharing their vulnerability.
Lastly, I'm sorry if my sharing/admitting my own vulnerability makes you uncomfortable or angry or in some way baffles you. You originally asked or said you don't know or understand why people "feel the need" to share such personal stuff on UA-cam. Well, as I said before, I don't "feel the need to" or feel like I "must," but rather, I WANTED to. I chose to share my perspective about life and death. And the reason I chose to share my thoughts and personal opinion/feelings about death is because this video and most of the forum beneath the video is about people's PERSONAL feelings, opinions, philosophies and so on regarding death. And I'm not sure why this should bother you, but I'm at a point in my life where I'm comfortable opening up about my perceived weaknesses, including my fears concerning death and the death of loved ones. Furthe, I'm at the point where I don't give two shits as to whether or not my openness about topics such as life, love, death, and setbacks make someone uncomfortable, as it says just as much, if not more about that persons hang-ups and insecurities than it does my own.
But whatever, to each his own. You don't understand why people such as myself share personal insights on UA-cam/social media, and I can't understand why people such as you seem to take offense to it.

There is only ONE WAY to Heaven! His Name is JESUS! If you belong to.Him then the instant you die you are with Jesus!

I asked my father on his death bed what he would have done differently if he could have. He thought for a few seconds and said emphatically almost happily "I would not change a thing". He lived life on his terms. Sometimes I did not get his reasoning but the older I become the more I understand. When we are at peace with the time we are granted then we are at peace when it ends.

I met Colonel Sander is 1968. I was working at a Colonel Sanders in Long Beach CA and he came by the place on an inspection tour. He really was a drunk, happy guy. And he was dressed just like Colonel Sanders.
Meanwhile, all these efficiency guys in suits holding clip-boards were inspecting the place. Everything was A-OK in the kitchen but we didn't clean pigeon poop off the Colonel Sander's statue so we didn't get an A grade. He didn't care because he was drunk and having a good ol' time laughing with the high school kid employees in the kitchen. Finally, he got back into the limo he arrived in and drove off -- with the inspectors falling behind in plain cars.

There's nothing more tragic than living out your life, collecting memories, forming relationships and then to fear that nothing happens when you die and everything you have accumulated is just gone. That's why we have beliefs like heaven, afterlife or reincarnation to ease the anxiety. Real or fake we need something to look forward to whatever we decide to believe.
