With that much gain (which sounded great btw) its hard to hear a difference…I’ve come to the conclusion after going down the p/u rabbit hole, there’s not much tonal difference…the difference for me lies in the extremes, humbucker vs single coil…other than that, I don’t sweat it, its all marketing hype to my tone deaf ears…great stuff👍

You hit on a really big point that I realized as well. With that much gain, some of the guitar characteristics were lost. Maybe a high-end Epiphone would do the trick vs. getting the more expensive Gibson?
