Thanks for this info! Is Jim still working with your center? I sent an email to him using the email you mentioned in this video but bounced back. Would much appreciate your reply!
What do you use for a woman who is far into perimenopause and has very irregular periods? Oral or topical progesterone? I've had doctors who give oral progesterone everyday, not cyclic. I've had doctors who prefer cream everyday, not cyclic.
This was such an informative interview that I shared it in my bHRT online support group. Thank you. What is the topical progesterone equivalent to 100 mg of oral progesterone? I've research many references and I the answer varies anywhere between 10 mg to 100 mg as the topical equivalent. Why such a discordance?
I meant to say that high dose steroids caused huge hormone imbalance. According to Dutch test. Very high estrogen, very low progesterone and very low testosterone. Severely affected sleep which is why oral is better if I can tolerate it.
My former dr prescribed HRT capsules which worked beautifully. My new dr will only prescribe cream, which I have been using for almost two years. My levels always come back high even with adjustments. I am feeling so awful. I am post menopausal.
Hi Jan, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling awful. I encourage you to discuss your symptoms with your physician so that you can find a therapy that fits your specific needs.
I tried oral progesterone, and it seems to cause sig GI issues. Yeast overgrowth. It may have been to high a dose. I was started at 200 and the dropped to 100. I was also told to start it during my period. Any recommendations for being about to take oral progesterone without GI issues?
Hi Karen, I would recommend calling in to talk with one of our pharmacists. That way we can discuss your specific needs. Thanks for the comments and have a great day!
The progesterone pills are not over the counter. You need a prescription for those. However, the progesterone cream does not require a prescription. You can get it OTC.
@@Ayumi649can you suggest a name please, i have 100 mg of bioidentical, but when I take them I can’t leave bed throwing up nonstop and nauseous all day, use to happen to me with Contraceptive pills
This is so informative, I have been struggling for the last ten years and this has been more useful than any help I’ve had in the UK so far!
