hey what I do to record my music on the ipad 2 is that i record all the instrumnts on garageband thn export the song into vocalive app for the vocals i reckon it is much better because the vocals effects on garageband are not that good! I'm not using the irig mic and was wondering if it worth it really ! what do you think?
My irig mic died after 18 months of light use. Mic is okay quality. Apps mentioned here are just absurdly expensive once youve bought the basic essentials as in-app purchases.
Can you export the audio to something online, like Dropbox, for storage purposes? I've got an ancient computer and am tempted to get an iPod touch but I know it will not be compatible with it.

I installed VocaLive App for my iPad 4. Using my telephone earphone with Mic, I was able to hear my Mic input and music. From what I figure, the output has to be fed into an amplifier. - Yet, since I want to use it as a compact Demo unit for my art of whistling to music, I would like the output of music and whistling to be confined to the iPad. It doesn't need to be loud. Is there a way of achieving this with VocaLive?
Does anybody know if you can use the vocalivetouch instead of this knockoff mic? they both are powered,,this way i can plug in with all my preesets done!!!

PLEASE HELP! Is this the VocaLive free version used in the video? because I have VocaLive free on my iPad and it never looks anything like in those videos. mine is always in landscape mode and I can't use ANY effects to alter my voive AT ALL... I paid 60euros at an apple store for the Mic and don't want to pay more for another program now to just use some voice effects. Neither the IK website nor anything else walks me through a proper setup :/ So... how can I make my iPads Vocalive look like at 1:46 in the video?

You have the free version! The only effect on the free version is reverb.
The mic isn't actually a condenser mic its an electret mic as you said they are 2 very different things . good review tho
