So hard to watch these parents so emotion and excited to see their children after only a few months apart. My family live 2 minutes up the road and I go months without hearing from them. My siblings even more. Not my choice at all. Seeing how close my 2 younger sisters are and how much they see my parents and seeing how much effort my parents put into my nieces and nephews is so painful for my children. They pine for their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. My sisters are and 10 and 12 years younger than me. Age has never been a barrier until now apparently. Well according to my youngest sister. That’s what she said when I told her how much I wanted to be as close as they are. We are adults… age never stopped me from wanting to spend time with them or hear their voice. Though my parents say all the right things, their action don’t reflect their words and I’m trying to work out how I’m so different from my siblings. My father is my step father but he raised me since I was 6 years old. To me he is my dad. But I can’t help wonder if that is why I could never hold a light to my sisters or my oldest brother. He is the son my father always wanted and his girls are his blood. Then there is me. I’ve begged for their time to no avail. I’m almost 40 now (37) . I have 5 children 19, 16, 12, 6 and 3. My parents are also very young, only 55, so age is also no factor when it comes to keeping up with their grandchildren. I’m a stay at home mum atm and my mother is currently working from home with a few days off. She will host high tea for her and my sisters and I don’t even get a Hi via text msg. I live in the same rural town, less than 2 klm away from her, while my siblings live in different towns. My sisters work and are still invited multiple times a week. I don’t go out due to anxiety associated to adhd , asd, and cptsd. I have all the time in the world for my mum, but if she needs help she will ask my sisters to have the day of work to help her. Even just to know my parents miss me would make me feel warm and loved.
The way she pointed at him and said, "My dad!" with so much pride in her voice tells me he's a great man and a wonderful father. I wish all kids had that ❤
Watching this video honestly has me in tears. I would give just about anything to have one more hug from my mom but that won't happen as she passed away 3 years ago. 😢

I think I finally a heartless guy, I just feel a little warm sentiment watching this, no happiness, no tears, nothing and not even sad knowing that. Time to rethink my choices.
I don't have relationships this close anymore. My parents have been dead for a long time and I'm not really good with family due to my own issues. My best friends have died as well, the last one in 2015, age 43. I have been mourning him forever. I do have some friends from the last 10 years who are dear to me, but that's not the same. If you are good with your parents and family, don't take it for granted, they can be gone any second.
I'm 62 youngest of six. My golden years will be spent going to my siblings funerals...when I pointed this out to them they all were emotional. They never looked at it the way I do...being the youngest isn't what you think.
I was separated from my mom and two brothers at five years old, and moved across the country. Didn't see or talk to them again for over forty years. My then wife searched them out in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Got to go back east and meet her a couple of years before she died. Younger brother is gone now too. These reunions got me all messed up, lol.
earlier this year I unfortunately went to the hospital for a burst appendix and I was in hospital for 5 days and when I got home my mum brought our dogs inside and they were so excited to see me my oldest dog jumped up into bed with me and wouldn't leave my side for ages

I saw my father after 16 years. Though an ocean didn’t seperate us. My parents separated when I was 6 years old. I only saw my father a handful of times after that. The last time was when my second son was 8 weeks old and it was only out of sheer luck. 16 years later a funeral brought us back together and he was meeting my eldest again who was now 18. The moment my son called him Pop for the first time and seeing his reaction was so sweet. My son was obsessed with him after that. A few weeks later he came to our house to meet my 3 youngest babies. 12, 6 and 3. It was our first Xmas together since I was 6. Though I should have been angry at him, I was just so happy. I’m normally uncomfortable showing affection (I don’t like hugging or kissing people goodbye) I could have hugged my dad for days. My absolute love for him never changed in 30 years.
