    I just bought the Air3 Deluxe HS from Soundpeats, since I can't stand in-ear buds. These also have LDAC and they sound great. No ANC here, of course, but for me it's no problem. I always use them during walks with my dog. Battery life is no problem for me. Also Soundpeats delivers fast firmware updates to fix issues. Really impressive!

      Ah okay well the open air style I’m not fond of everyone is different. I prefer a good seal and isolated experience but then I do understand they are quite uncomfortable for some. Soundpeats offer some really good earbuds for decent prices I wouldn’t touch Bose or Sony it’s not worth it nowadays going premium I think.

    LDAC for $50 is amazing. Although I have to admit, I usually don't use my LDAC even on my earbuds that supported as I'm going to value stability and battery. At least on true wireless where battery is often just five or six hours.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому +1

      I do prefer LDAC but if I’m on a super long flight to New Zealand I switch it off as ANC alone is taxing on the battery but it’s great to have these options

    In my exp, battery lasted 6 hours with ANC & LDAC off. When ANC are on, 4.5 hours. I want to point out 3:40 that grill above are not a mic. I suspect that the feedback & feedforward mic are used for ANC/Ambient and bottom mic are for calls. BTW codec only improves sound quality so much, so dont expect it will extremely make something sound good or clear (also depends what type or where the file is played, e.g. Spotify, apple music. I really like how it sounds out of the box i think its quite fun to listen to the ANC especially Ambient works great, next time tho im buying sony truffles (other wise known as xm4's) buds it cost around 160usd here.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому

      Thanks for the comment, yes LDAC doesn't matter with streaming or low quality MP3's most people use. I was testing very high bitrate FLAC flies with PowerAMP there you can hear it specially the highs I found. For the average joe sticking to SBC and getting much better battery life is the way to go for most.

    Heey, so if I recall correctly, not s single iPhone supports LDAC or any other high bitrate(FLAC like) codec? I just looked if any of their earbuds/earphones are available in my country and it turnes out there are plenty, just that those that you reviewed.. ☹️Maybe those are new so that's why. Anyways, what do do you think about Soundpeats in general? I can see that they have so many earbuds that I have no idea where to start, what the differences are in terms of build quality, sound quality, mic quality etc..
    Cheers

    • @michaelcorcoran8768
      @michaelcorcoran8768 Рік тому +1

      This is been the inherent flaw with a lot of LDAC, at least on true wireless products. You're already down to maybe 4 to 6 hours of use with a regular codec. Oftentimes if you use LDAC that gets nerfed to less than 3 hours. The limitation isn't nearly as bad on a neckband or over ear set were you can get four times as much battery life often.
      We're starting to see some progress in this department though. Soundcore space a40 are tiny and have 11 hours of battery life, so even without ldac you're looking at a solid 6 hours. And that's a tiny product. But they're still an outlier in that kind of battery performance.

    • @michaelcorcoran8768
      @michaelcorcoran8768 Рік тому +2

      In fairness, if you're at home, two or three hours of battery life is plenty because you can just charge it really easily. Or switch to a different set while you're charging. But if you're on the go, it's hard to justify the loss in battery and stability with ldac, Even though it is better.
      It's still the kind of quality that a lot of people wouldn't be able to detect in a blind test.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому

      Sure if you stick to SBC codec and don’t use LDAC 😂

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому

      That’s impressive battery life for LDAC. They need to up the battery size now with LDAC was it just murders battery life at 960kbps or whatever the bitrate is it’s very high.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому +1

    LDAC is not good as aptX in low latency ... I still prefer aptX HD codec because of melodius sound and very low latency : I use my Taotronics SoundElite 72 with Xbox ... Man, ZERO latency here !
    I tested the capsule 3 Pro in a SoundPeats store ... the output is ARTIFICIAL with a "metalic" sound !

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому

      Did you test them using LDAC? Never found these metalic sounding at all. So odd. Since I don't game and for streaming video gaming mode is fine I prefer LDAC but it hits the battery hard.

    • @ad_fletch
      @ad_fletch Рік тому

      I find occasionally I get that metallic sound with my Tronsmart buds using aptX hd too. It must be associated with a dip in connection strength or something.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  Рік тому +1

      Ah wind noise a hard one I didn't test them with my scooters maybe I should. But when I'm on a bike or scooter it's defiantly no in-ears even with ambient or transparency mode.

      In any ANC device, i wouldn't even expect any to block wind noise, and specially at the price point your paying, even a lot of expensive or known brand would fail to block it. ANC blocks Lower frequency better, like AC unit & car engine noise.

    let's be real the audio quality of aurpods crush these and they don't have ldac. Personally, I'm not buying any earbuds with less than 10 hrs of playback so yeah I'll pass.
