They way Zach and Keith IMMEDIATELY sounded so done when the artists complimented Eugene’s tattoo is SO funny to me
To be fair even watching him do it he was the closest to how you actually hold the machine
I am amazed that Zach's tattoo ended up PERFECTLY fitting into the client's sleeve. Like the different pressures of lines looked so purposeful with the rest of his tattoos I love it

As a tattoo artist myself I have seen a lot of youtubers go about this concept in a really dangerous way that encourages people to try this themselves. I really really appreciate how they set this up in a shop with a BUNCH of professionals to highlight just how unique and serious this industry is. Loved the video. Had me laughing my butt off 😅
This is what I thought! The title had me worried but this is really cool
I've only ever done stick and poke tattoos traditional to my dad's culture but I was really nervous seeing this video. Even outside the industry there's still safety standards and most UA-camrs don't adhere to those. Such a relief that they took this seriously.
This isn't encouraging anything and if it does they would make dumb choices regardless stop blaming others for one person being stupid people make their own decisions and that's their individual problem take responsibility for your own actions ffs IT'S JUST A YOU TUBE VIDEO

SERIOUSLY! In the dance videos they had hours to learn steps and routines and talk to the experts before actually doing it, but with tattoos they just sat down and gave strangers a permanent body modification?? WILD lol

honestly a connection with the artist for something like this feels so integra to the designs! Like that was a Zach tattoo and his volunteer can feel more connected because of that.

Zach’s tattoo was like his personality, Eugene always wants to do something challenging and intricate, and Keith’s tattoo reflects his “Keith eats everything on the menu”.
Who ever came up with this idea is both a genius and a psycho. Props to the volunteers for letting the Try guys “practice” on them - they are very brave. 😅 PS. Seeing Eugene’s mom made me think she was checking if Eugene would also be getting one. 😂
So curious how they got roped into this considering how unhappy Zach and Keith were when they started 😅

My guess is that the volunteers were all tattoo artists. Tattoo artists practice on each other all the time and have more access to corrections.

I like Zach's non-perfect tattoo. It stands out as something unique and has a story. Anyone can get a smiley face flower, but no one can get a smiley face flower made a bit wonky for the first time by Zach from the Try Guys.
It looks like a children's drawing in the best way possible because the design is one as well, so it just upped the vibe

I'm so glad they picked professional tattoo artists who were so nice and friendly. Too many shows feature tattooists with massive egos and condescending attitude as if nobody else can do tattoos and they're holy Shaolin monks of the Craft. I am training as a tattoo artist so this friendly, chill image is refreshing.

Well when they show it a few months later at 10:39 it doesn't look very good. The stencil still being visible was helping a lot, better than the others though.
well, no the lines don't look clean but they are thick enough to stay in the skin and they aren't scratchy like zach and keith's which look like pen drawings. Eugene's looks like a beginner artist did his. It's really good for a first try.

Weirdly liked Zach's tattoo best. It looked probably the most stylized which is probably why he chose to keep it. It reminds me of a children's drawing the most but that's the vibe of the original.
Eugene of course just did perfect but honestly I think that kind of hindered it because it looked less like body art and more like tracing.
And Keith, probably did the worst unfortunately, but that's probably because he went in with the least confidence and thus the least amount of follow-through. But his design also involved a bit more drawing skills so I can see why that would be not ideal for a first timer with no idea what they're doing
I like how Zach's tattoo ended having a crayon texture, it gets the vibe very well
zach is truly the best candidate for tattoos. you know if someone makes their smiley face talk that they deserve all the fun art in the world.
Zach’s actually looks so good with the rest of Ryan’s tattoos, it fits with their art style so well

Considering theyd never done anything like this before, I'm genuinely impressed with how all three of them did.
I love how this has a real learning environment vibe to it. The professionals really broke things down well, and the guys were definitely learning as they did their pieces. This is the way to do a video like this.
ngl as someone w tattoos + plenty of tattoo artist friends i was agog at the lack of fake skin practice but the WAR format of just going for it while the expert is edited in is so entertaining! huge props to ashley, peri, ryan, for being such willing participants for this! also 7:49 (fyi that eomma was not transcribed right in the cc) to 8:09 is SO TRUE as a Korean gal i relate 😂i just went ahead and did it and my mom lives while helping me cover them up in front of my extended relatives lmao
The tattoo Zach did looks like something he'd put on himself too 😂 it looks very doodley, like a scribble in the margins of your notebook
i got my first tattoo when i turned 18 this year and what eugene said about tattoos lasting longer than your soul is actually pretty accurate as to why i got it😭i think it relates a lot to the Buddhist idea that everything is impermanent (including our selves). there’s something about getting a little permanent doodle on your skin that gives you a sense of control over the uncontrollable impermanence in life.

Honestly, I love them too but I wouldn't let anybody put something permanent on my body unless they absolutely knew what they were doing. Before my first one, the thing that calmed me down was my tattoo artist's experience with tattooing and how clear it was that he knows the trade inside out.

This is going on my list of favorite episodes ever. I think Zach's tattoo actually turned out cool with his (lack of) technique. Once it healed, it made it kinda look like it was drawn with a pencil which if it holds up, can be really cool
