Cma CGM Palais Royal is LNG powered container vessel of 400m length.
LNG, an energy with a bright future, helps to preserve air quality, by delivering a reduction of 99% in sulfur dioxide and fine particle emissions and of 85% in nitrogen oxide emissions, and can cut CO2 emissions by up to 20% compared with fuel-powered systems.

LNG offers the following benefits over existing fuel oil-powered ships:
•Reduction of up to 20% in CO2 emissions;
•99% reduction in sulphur oxydes emissions;
•91% reduction in fine particulate matters;
•92% reduction in nitrogen oxyde emissions;
In addition, the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), which measures the environmental footprint of a vessel, is improved by 20% compared to a conventional vessel.
The result is a reduced carbon footprint and improved air quality, particularly for populations living in coastal areas and in port cities.
