The red, pink, and purple filter all sounded really close. The orange filter came off as harsh. The green filter sounded dull and boring. The blue filter was basically EQ. Interesting to play with them. It was a good time. Under $100, I think this is a cool product.
It's so crazy that you say this, dude. I recently got the Muse M4 and cycling through the DAC filters ACTUALLY has a noticeable difference, and it was the first time I ever experienced this as well. The BTR7 has various DAC filters too but they didn't do a damn thing. I have the S8 Pro coming in soon so your review pumped me up!
It sounds pretty cool. I haven't experienced filters with dacs yet but I can definitely understand how it could come in handy with different iems. Thank you for another great review! 👍
I have a Luxury and Precision W2 that has some great filter optipns as well. The Non Oversampling filter is my favorite...takes the digital glare off of the sound. The filter is the final step of converting PCM digital audio to analog. It removes the jagged stair step pattern, restoring the waveform to a near perfect representation of the original analog signal.
Maybe it's just intended change of correct sounding which is provided by any dac? I mean you could also use EQ to change your sound but more predictably and without buying a new dac.

Nice! Ya it’s crazy when you actually hear a difference. It’s so cool! Haha glad I’m not the only one who experienced it lol

Ya, it’s definitely fun to play with filters. But transducers still most important

I have much to learn with all this haha

I have some headphones which are lacking lows, is there a filter which gives some thump in low end which is really noticeable? Thanks
If it’s truly lacking in the low end, these filter may not help. The iFi products with x bass may be a better option.
Wow no clack clack, bad review.
How do I clack clack a non iem lol
