My favorite part of the update is how drew tried to say they wanted everyone to be able to use the evolutions, then made them not only unavailable in grand and classic challenges, but makes you have to pay 100 dollars to even get access to them. Evidently according to them this has nothing to do with money, which you can clearly tell with how they lock evolutions behind a paywall. Truly an update of all time
The time is approaching to uninstall, I think. I have never in my entire life encountered such incompetent, greedy, and uncaring (for a game's community and their input) game devs than now.
I agree but ngl if you can get 1 evolution per month as a f2p player (as they claim) it's pretty decent since they also said they will add 1 evolution per month.. The real cash grab is level 15 since no f2p player will be able to max their account..

Evoluitons on the other hand are great, i dont think you need to explain yourself for buying the offer, especially as a content creator. they bring a new twist, its a bit grindy (but acceptable grind, not "10 years to be maxed" crap) so its nice to have these references about them being worth to try and get.

I think the evolutions are very interesting and could ultimately be a good addition as more get added, but lvl 15 is absurd, even if they end up lowering how many cards you need for it
they nerfed the amount of elite wild cards commons and rares give and insanely buffed the amount legendaries and champions give making it harder for f2p’s to get level 15 because most f2p’s dont have legendaries and champions maxed out and then it still takes ages to get a single level 15 card

It will only be worth buying the evolved cards if you think the game won't die. After two failed updates in a row, I wouldn't be hopeful. So I am not buying the evolved cards or upgrading to 15. Probably won't even launch the game much honestly.

16:50 Usually when Ryley says "ooh hit again" it means the card is going to get another single hit max. The evo RG hit 4 times after he said it; I've watched every single video and this is the first time a card unpredicted him this much. I think this alone shows how broken the card is.

It’s early in the update but I made this deck (not having the firecracker evolution) but it’s similar to one you used to play and it’s really annoying: Mighty Miner, firecracker, princess, cannon, ice spirit, goblin barrel, log and fireball(for fireball bait meta.)
Since I’m not dropping 100 dollars on the game, I’m honestly glad you did so we can at least see what the new content is. Everything is inaccessible for f2p
if evolutions ever reach a balanced state, they might be a good addition to the game. however, I hoped for an evolution mechanic that features a certain disadvantage for the evolution card to justify its added strength.. e.g. granting the skeletons this buff but upon death they spawn as „normal“ skeletons for your opponent. Or reducing hitpoints of the new firecracker (so it dies to log) This would require players to develop new skills and fit into the dark/„corrupt“ elixir theme, ad well as allowing for counter play. at this point evolutions are just super steroid versions of their common pendants…

Skeletons are a 1 elixir card that forces a spell from the opponent or else it gets 3 crowns, if evol RG weren't as strong as he is Skeletons would be the strongest evolution card

I mean personally, I like the idea of grinding lvl 15 for a long time. I one trick hog rider, so having a long road of progression is actually fun, similar to how rpgs are fun bc of how long it takes to grind out a single level. Not sure why ppl are hating on update this much
because leveling up doesnt feel like prigression in this game but more like struggle to being par with everyone else. progression of other sorts like costumization of your side of areana cosmetics, new features(like evolution) ,etc are much better. Also leveling up brings no new mechanics (every level will have same interaction with every other card ss long as they are same level.
Hey Ryley, I actually caved and bought all the evolution cards too. I don’t support the level 15 stuff- but I did want to experience the full game after such a massive update. I think RG is broken but not fun, firecracker works really nice as a sub for princess in logbait and probably is the best overall, skeletons I literally don’t notice at all, but barbarians I think are still one of the worst cards in the game lol.
