On January 27, 1993, André René Roussimoff -- the 7'4", 520-pound Frenchman who dominated professional wrestling during the 70s and 80s -- passed away in his sleep after an evening with friends. Although best known for his immense size and epic battles in the ring with Hulk Hogan and other bright stars of his era, it was Andre's brilliant performance as the warm-hearted giant in The Princess Bride that etched his name in Hollywood history.

I never comment on videos but have to for this one. I loved this video and really enjoyed the commentary. I loved watching Andre the Giant as a kid. All of the things you guys had to say I think described his nature perfectly. In every doc I have seen about Andre you hear about how he was so kind. ❤

Think if had taken steroids in his twenties and worked out and ate right what would he have looked like Arnold said he picked him up like he was a child , or he picked up vehicles i heard strong men go no way their lying Kevin Sullivan said they put a SUV in the ditch and they the 3 other wrestlers couldnt move it and he said there were bigger guys and the Kevin said Andre said move he put it back on the road by himself they must relize his upper body was that of a 9 ft man a giant
