True on that. I work for a small company and do pretty good plus I'm home almost every day running California only paper log. If I was going to work O.T.R I would ask for Flat Rate first rather than miles for many reasons, weather, break downs, or sitting and waiting for a load maybe not ready. Flat Rate is the way to go. Many drivers get stuck in snow and not running lots of miles especially if you don't want to be a team driver Flat Rate is the way. I said winter is best to run flat rate and summer can be more productive to run per miles unless you have a family and want to be home flate rate is the way 😆😊 great video Auggie. I know a driver who was running a good route hauling garlic for C.R and he grossed like 2,000 weekly team driver I heard working for C.R their money in it if your a productive driver and not just sitting around playing video games.
Everything that you said in this video is very true. When I was otr with C.R.England I was making good money. The only problem I had with them was getting home after a month on the road. God bless
I was thinking of going OTR right out of CDl school at a company, but maybe ill look into a dedicated regional account. Do mega carriers usually offer those accounts to graduates right out of school?
Also, another pro with mega carriers is pull back times. If there’s a economy pull back these mega carriers get the loads. I think my job will be secure cause it’s a dedicated partnership route
How I wish I can get to the state and learn how to drive truck. I am good in driving so I am the most careful driver ever when it comes to driving. I am very sure that I would be a good driver in driving truck
I'm heading to C.R England school Saturday I already have my permit my recruiter asked me how do I fill about a dedicated lane with dollar tree I told him I would love it I been working hard my whole life and most definitely would do it to make more money then what I was but yes I also had an over the phone interview with the store manager of the dollar trees do you have any suggestions or info on what I'm doing? Will this be a good lane for me?
Well your gunna be off loading the freight from the trailer on rollers to the store employees from what I hear. Your touching freight. It can suck in the summer because those trailers aren’t refrigerated, but those dollar store accounts pay the most because it’s hard work. If you become a mentor you’ll make even more and you’ll have help unloading.
Thanks for some truth. A lot of UA-camrs are putting me off at starting at a mega carrier. But it seems to be the fastest and cheapest way to get my CDL. Bottom line as with anything you get what you put into it
Yeah a lot of the UA-camrs who hate on mega carriers want to make 6 figures running a load then go home everyday. That would be nice but that’s not reality these days unfortunately but you can still make big money at a mega carrier. People just don’t want to put the extra work in that a new driver will have to put in.
Waiting time as well as not paying you lay over or detention for sitting. They may sell you and claim they do but they lie and don't pay it. And in my experience when I worked for Tyson foods they would NOT pay it or pay hotels even so you're losing money. Then they'll write the paystubs in a way where you'd have to have a personal finance degree to understand it because the dumb payroll lady can't explain it. My advice is do what you want but go to places that pay you all your time for waiting. PERIOD.
Not saying i dont believe him but ive heard quite the opposite, to get bonus on top of bonus you uave to have to be there for a time.how do you become a mentor in the first year ?
You can become a mentor after 6 months with CR England and Mentors make crazy money, I did it. Unfortunately, the money isn’t worth sharing a truck with a bunch randoms from Africa, never again 😂
@@scuxxba Why is that crazy? Truck driving is basic. The old heads saying you need years of experience to be a trainer are apart of the old generation of truckers who were known for having low iq’s with strong work ethics. But trucking nowadays is different and some of the new truckers nowadays have degrees or come from prestigious careers such as doctors, lawyers, etc due to trucking being so lucrative in some cases. For example, my mentor, an older guy, had a three bunk trunk and he failed to effectively teach me and the other mentee how to back a truck even though we had a lot of practice. The other mentee and myself both agreed that we will have to learn how to back using our own methods because our mentors method only made sense for him. Sure enough I learned how to back from watching UA-cam videos and Im so good at backing that I became a mentor and every mentee I had complemented my backing and also every mentee who left my truck knew how to back on an experienced level without my assistance. And all my mentees were not just good at backing but they were also experts with the HOS, which is also something my mentor didn’t know how to teach. I had one mentee because he was so smart and he soaked everything in that I told him like a sponge that he got a good paying local dedicated job near where he lives with CR England after one week on his own. Usually you have work OTR with CRE for 4 months before you can even apply for a dedicated job but CRE called this mentee after noticing he had the skills and lived near the dedicated account. In addition, to my recommendation.
I start Truck Driving school next month as soon as I get on the road I’m getting out of my apartment selling my car and I’m gonna have no debt and no bills. I’m gonna just live out of the truck with my dog I can’t wait.
@@geddon436 yeah over the road is for a special kind of person, probably someone on meth lol jk. It does get hard to drive 11 hours straight not gunna lie.
Bro I feel like not to be disrespectful but you haven't had a real job before...if you can't get paid for doing the main thing at the job and have to do referrals l, training people that ain't it.....those are bonus items to grab if you have to do that to make real money there that's bullshit thru and thru....I already make 1300 a week just doing my regular job....if I'd have to do all that just to make that, that's a joke bro...yeah dedicated accounts I can see you making money just doing that and then the bonus stuff you talked about would be here sweeter but...other way around is a no go lol
As someone who is in cdl training school, I have honestly learned more about this business from you and your channel than anyone else
No matter what company a driver works for it all comes down to that driver and how he manages his cash flow and having more assets than liabilities
You guys are using the term cash flow incorrectly 😂
What the hell does cash flow assets and liabilities have to do with a weekly paycheck
I love your explanation dude. Naysayers always find ways to persuade people with negativity. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the support!
I have a friend who’s been doing it for three years he has $110,000 saved no bills he lives on the road. Very impressive.
