hey guys that guys with the thing on his hand is called a "Hand-Plan" and if you are interested in getting one please just contact me; they are used for more stability while body surfing, and that last guy i believe his name is Dylan.

I was there that morning taking photographs. I plan to do a slide show on The Wedge and would like to show some of your footage, probably 30 to 40 seconds to show the size and force of the waves. I have photos of some of the same guys in your video. This is a hobby for me and would not be used commercially. I would list you in he credits.

Digging the wave at 6:40, where the lad actually stalls, lines it up, and pulls right into the barrel.....
I reckon if you're gonna go out at maxing Wedge, you may as well charge, and commit all the way like that.
Sort of contradicts itself to go out there, especially on a day like that, and ride the spot without pulling completely into the barrel, committed all the way, no matter what....it's the very nature of this wave, and pulling out through the back of the wave, or face-racing the end section, and the like, when there is opportunity to do otherwise, kinda contradicts the purpose of paddling out at the Wedge in the first place, and on a massive day like this, especially.
Is the very essence of what that wave is about, to pull into the barrel, otherwise they would be better suited to paddling out at a wave that simply breaks down the line....
did they really kick the bodyboarders out too in the afternoon?

I understand that these guys know what they are doing, but either way how does a swell like this not snap you in half after a wave closing on you like that?
Brendan Olsen the wetsuits they wear are made of metal, much like the linked armor you saw in medivel days
Respect, these guys dont have a board to float up after a wipeout
the board doesn't float you up unless you're holding onto it still. it actually will wrap around you if you have a leash and strangle you or tie you up with someone else and the board can get stuck above you and not go up and you're just pinned to the bottom.
AlexParker1981 you what really sucks is when you duck diving and you go over the falls
and you death grip your board and you still get penned then you board get grave stoned
and your stuck inside the impact zone xD suck
at 2:01 did any one else see that little black thing fly up as soon after the guys with the back pack walk by. it was probably his hand board
i love it when the body surfers without Hand-Plains just bounce and cant keep stable or
cant get enough speed to get by the white wash. As in the guy with the Hand-Plain can.
but still really big waves...
all of the bodysurfers in that video were kooks and not wedge riders.
a kook wouldn't go out on big Wednesday unless they know the surf or they have been at a different surf but slimier waves, they wouldn't be allowed to go out...

A desent day at the wedge but not close to Cali Pipeline close to that that breaks EPIC on the right swell this was.
