Maybe after you do next months budget (Jan) you could add up how much you spent over the last three months for each of your variable spending categories. Then figure up the average you spent over those three months for each category and budget that amount moving forward. That might help get a closer number that you’ll need for each variable expense.
I would love for you to get 1 month ahead with your business budget, I would love you to feel the security of this. With these sales it feels like the perfect time.
Awesome sales Jennifer! Just wondering if it would help to set up sinking funds to deal with the inconsistencies in your business budget expenses. Also you could design your own thank you stickers. Maybe cheaper than ordering them?
After you have a few months data you will be able to get a better idea of how to budget week to week\ month to month. Then you will be able to take the average of each category. Just keep doing what you are doing and it will eventually all work out 😁 you are doing a good job!!
Absolutely gorgeous budget beautiful roll over for a week number three Jennifer you are knocking it out of the park and I’m so happy for you! Will you be doing like a moving Vlog? I think that would find that rather interesting and then setting up your new house in Michigan and giving us a grand tour once you’re all Set up in your new home and then maybe some flogging on your new office. I’m so super excited about this new upcoming page you’re about to turn in 2025 and I can’t be any more happier for you and excited as well. Happy holidays.
This is my favorite sticker design, I had two order it again, it’s so beautiful and I’m so happy to see your business thriving! This is all the result of your hard work, dedication, and love for your family! Keep up the awesome work 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Since you have such awesome records 😎, I would go back through the last year (or more if you want). I would take black friday sales and what it took to restock supplies (and any other major sales you have) and come up with an average. Then, take all the rest of the months separate from that sale and do the same. Try to average everything out to once a month, two months, whatever is ends up being of: when you restock sticker paper, shipping supllies, etc. Maybe you dont restock those things every single month. Maybe its every 6 weeks, for example. Then, break down that information into mini goals/buffers for each category of the budget per week. Of course, make a video so we can all watch, too! Hopefully that makes sense. And those Black Friday sales! Get it, girl!
Holy cow that’s amazing on your black Friday sale unfortunately we were secure at the house and I wasn’t really getting into too many black Friday sales, but I’m so glad I ordered the kit that I did from you! By the way, your chicken noodle soup absolutely amazing I made it and it didn’t last even a day lol I added some fresh bread on the side. It was delicious and will be going into our rotation because we don’t buy hardly any canned soups. We prefer to make it Homemade And the recipe was great. Thank you for sharing that on your other video. Correction we were sick at the house lol
I know that Etsy is unpredictable when it comes to sales week by week, but could you go back and look at your trending sales for last year? Are they comparable to what you are making now in the same timeframe? I know for things like holidays and Black Friday sales and cyber Monday sales You might be able to check the trend on this as well to give you kind of an estimate maybe I don’t know if that helps or maybe even seasonal trends on what you approximately make for certain seasons and maybe low ball estimate it so that you at least have somewhat of a number to work with, but I do know that the fluctuation and Etsy sales can be literally all over the place. And although you get paid weekly, maybe look more towards the monthly trend of how much you made last year and compare it with how much you’ve made this year and the same month and see if maybe that might help you give you a generalized estimate or maybe a safety net estimate I would definitely Estimate a much lower total so you at least have something in mind. I don’t know if that helps but just a few suggestions.
You have a number of weeks worth of business budgets by now. What if you figured out the average weekly variable expenses that you have been spending, and then budget a total for your variable expenses? For example, if on average you have spent $500 per week, you budget that full amount, sort of like you do in your family budget-just without assignments to individual categories. I don't know if that makes sense, but at least it would give you a starting point.
I would think you should do exactly as you did with no figures yet. Maybe after 6 months you could start budgeting your variable expenses by doing an average over your first 6 months expenses.
I have to say the one downfall the budget mom book has is there is no month view for budget... I personally need to lay out the month on one sheet and then breakdown each week. I had to make my own monthly sheet and add to her budget book. Budgets are hard when you don't know the income. I'm currently unemployed and it's scary. Hang in there Jennifer!
Jennifer you have come so far with your business budget, your so amazing. I would track everything for 3 months and get a average.😊
Love the stickers you placed. 💜

Thank you for doing thy business budget. I'm a stylist and looking for doing this for my salon.

I’m so sorry, I hope things get better for you soon! 😊
Do you have a sinking fund for taxes?
I pay estimated quarterly taxes. I paid all of my taxes for 2024 already. Win 2025 starts I'll need to add it back to the budget.
I am debating whether I want to order the sticker design, However, I print off my BBP will this still work on this?
Hi! I'm sorry, none of my stickers fit the printed version of the BBP.
@@lifeinenvelopes ok thank you
