I’m also a Japanese maple cultivar collector… I love this… can’t wait until mine get bigger. My favorite personal fall colors of mine this year was Sango Kaku, crimson queen, Anne’s Irene, geisha gone wild, and Shishigashira

Beautiful garden and thank you for taking us on a tour of it. Also, according to J. D. Vertrees, Bloodgood was a sir name of the guy who found the cultivar at Bloodgood Nursery in New York in 1970. It was just a great coincidence that his name match so perfectly to the beautiful color.

Thanks for sharing your great garden with us. It was nice to see on this video a grown Bloodgood, Sangu Kaku and a Nandina Domestica as I just planted those in my yard this past fall. This spring I'll be getting a Viridis and a Fireglow as well.

So nice to see your dreamlike autumn garden. I love the red accents in the wider shots.
Here in Northern Sweden we have a powder layer of snow and -10C. The frost in the garden is very nice but I miss the vibrant colours.

Thank you so much. Do you get autumn color at all in the North of Sweden? I used to live in Stockholm, but the winter there was not that cold, just looong ;)

Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden 😊
(we don't have the ideal climate down here in South Australia for mapples but we have started with two in pots, so we will see how they go)

Gorgeous fall colors. It's my favorite time of year to watch your videos!!
Some of my maples have beautiful colors but overall they are still young and have suffered a lot from the summer heat. I dream of seeing them like yours in a few years!
Thank you for the great videos that you offer us and I had a good laugh at the end with the story of the drone 😄

I love the fall colors too, they are so beautiful and it is a different canvas every year. I am sure yours will look fantastic!
Thank you so much, that means a lot!
I am very happy to hear that we made you laugh with the drone story 😂

I heard that the Orange Dream cultivar is essentially that, mostly a dream, not a reality... maybe if you named your drones, they might not 'leave' as soon. Now, you just need to borrow a cat or puppy for some photobombing.

Thank you very much. Yes, exactly. The colors are different every year. I wasn't sure if there was going to be proper color at all this year because of this hot summer, but luckily there was. Was you summer also hotter that usual in Ireland?

New subscriber here, your garden is stunning!! Can you give me your opinion on wher eyou plant your maples? Full sun/partial sun? North facing south facing? I'm trying different positions to get the best colour out of my maples but I havent perfected yet . Thanks!
