Had this knife for6 months now and it’s the best edc fixed blade hands down, no changing my mind. 2 things I did were cleaned the spin for striking fire rod and trimmed the leather sheath about an inch for easier draw. Other then that there’s nothing to change on these.
I really wish someone taught me to hunt when I was younger. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do ever since I would go running around in the woods as a kid. I certainly caught a ton of different animals and taught myself fishing. But safe shooting, tracking and skinning was something I never was comfortable trying out without proper training. Always wanted to be able to put my own food on the table if I had to. You guys are lucky to have those skills passed on to you and in turn you pass them on to your sons.
This knife is outstanding. Being more obsessed with guns than knives most of my life, I never realized how important a good knife is until I dropped a monster buck a few weeks ago and had only dull blades. This knife is a game changer. Pretty neat to order the Ashley Game Knife off Amazon only to realize your company is 20 minutes away lol. Keep up the great craftsmanship!
When I knew Ashley in junior high and high school he always carried two things: a lock blade knife in his back pocket and a clipping in his wallet from a magazine with a legal reference stating that such knives were legal to carry in Texas.
My biggest question is how well does this knife clean squirrels? That's the most skinning of wild game i do.. i have meat rabbits and chickens that i proess at home if im lucky a deer or 2 .. I have retired my sharpfinger from my childhood and now use the 1095 generational sharpfinger, but I'm really interested in Esee because of the no question asked warranty. I had a run in with Case knives so that left a sour taste in my mouth.. I love 1095 steel idk about that coating yall put on the blades i will probably grind that crap off. I keep flipping between the JG3 & AGK models..
Can y'all do a comparison video of the ESEE 3 vs the AGK? In what ways is one better than the other? It seems to me that the AGK is better as batoning and prying due to the thicker blade, it would be better at drilling due to the spear point. The ESEE 3 would be a better slicer because its thinner blade and better at stabbing due to the drop point. As for skinning and buschcraft, they seem to be comparable as they both have large sweeps and are about the same weight and size.
AGK wins hands down in the game processing department. More handle than blade the AGK fairs quite well as a bushcraft blade as well. ESEE 3 makes a nice tight package for a belt or pack, or to wear on. your person.
@RandallsAdventureESEE That's a good point. I think the ESEE 3 has a better handle, especially with the 3D scales, and is an overall better package with the sheath. I just really like the form of the AGK. 😅 Thank you for response!
A nice i love the blade geometry! Patrick what is about the sheath system ? Is it availible as an kytex sheath variation ? And how does it fits in my woodsmen tool kit ? My tools for 2+nights in the woods are the esee junglas 2 and the esee izula 2 + an frame saw.
@@RandallsAdventureESEE Yes, that. But he also appreciates the looks of a used knife. Looks aren't everything, but can make a difference. Not only in women.
Glad to hear it!! I really enjoyed watching people pick the knife up at Blade Show and NOT know what it was....the ergonomics on this knife are spot on!
@@RandallsAdventureESEE yeah well, I'm you can understand in not interested in raising the price of the knife by 40% because I'm left handed. Not an idiot bro.

Hello. Nice knife. I saw that it was already on sale in France.
eric sibilotte started to shipping to dealers week before last.
Can you do a video showing the actual field dressing? Or how the knife was used. Instead of just interview and showing pictures
That would be awesome to see!
Good looking knife
thanks....and better yet....it works...
I think g10 would be better to clean
