I assume you guys have you moments, but I watch this channel because I love watching you relate to each other; good humored, working through the whatever the environment throws at you, always respectful with an obvious liking for each other! What a treasure... and inspiration! Blessings on your both!
Yep, how the times have changed!! After so many years of 'refitting on the run' and trying to sail places in between, I think we're at the end of constant boat work and can enjoy the fruits of our labour 😊
just curious - what does "can not afford the cost of that track" (forgot the quote mid typing) mean? Cost wise - again just curious - NOT requesting yo9u spend money!
Where did you guys store all that canvas? Did you keep it rolled up or try to fold it? We are moving onto a boat & trying to figure that out (along with many other things). Nice job on all the canvas work.
i'm a 'poor white man from Pt. Fortin' and am glad you're doing this vid. i've never been back since '62-63 and always love to see videos of my home. trouble is you didn't show me anything :-( well, maybe next time :-)
After seeing half ep. Have to mention that I’m so happy to see these two sweet kids. The kiss made me so glad. This mean that they still love each other and that I, and presumably many with me need to see. It’s very important to have a little human touch involved. This I fabulous. I wish a boat like that. Enough for one or two persons. Millennial Falcon! Keep up the good work & Let the force be with You 🐳 -Pressure cooker? The ribs looks fried to me! Tell me more. So quick. Difficult to see…
I wanted to hear more about your new dodger! The dodger on my boat (also a cutter, BCC28) is on its last legs, and I’m trying to figure out what to do. Did you do it from scratch, or did you go with one of Sailrite’s kits? I love your channel, and I have to say I missed you guys while you were on your break. It’s nice to have you back.
Nice to see you back on the water! You both have very big smiles. Pro tip...boil your ribs in Coca-Cola (any brand is good, but Dr. Pepper is my fav) and then grill them on the BBQ. I like to marinade them overnight in BBQ sauce after I boil them. Wrap them in foil and grill them for about 4 to 6hrs at about 250. Turn them every 30 mins, and for the last 30 mins, take them out of the foil and baste with more BBQ sauce to make them sticky/messy.
Ah jib lead positions! We have the same deal, ie no tracks for the jib lead cars, which used to really bug me. These days we simply go around a large turning block aft and straight onto the jib clew via a barber hauler on a handy billy arrangement from the sheet (ie not the clew) down to the rail right below the clew on each side. Now we love it, we never have to worry about the lead position, we just adjust the handy billy, which consists of a block and tackle similar to what a really small dinghy (think Pelican, Adam, from your SoPYC days) might have for a mainsheet. And a soft block on the sheet end is much better than a pulley.
Glad to see you getting back in the water, must feel a Bit Awkward even with just a few months at home 🤓 but That being on the Other side of the 🌎 it still takes some getting used too.!! 😎 good Show. ✅
That refreshing beer travelled perfectly and instantly to the UK. It hasn't made the bureaucracy go away, but it sure does remind me of the need to evaluate priorities. Good to see you reaping the rewards of all the important 'little' jobs on Millie. Nice to hear of a friendly place to visit.
@@riphaven Watching ads with the mute on is my way of helping to pay for content. My wife would kill me if I sent money to a good looking redhead, and my wife died 4 months ago, but in her honor refrain.

😂 that's pretty much how we describe Coors Light... beer flavoured fizzy water. But when it's so hot here you can knock a few of these back pretty easily
You're lucky bright lights so what I'm living 3 doors down from 2 night clubs across the road from a strip club the sacrifices you have to make for lifestyle changes
'On the road (water) again 🎶' > Old Willie Nelson tune 😅. Beautiful island, so heavily vegetated. Hey Khiara, if you like pressure cookers, check out an Instant Pot > super machine but electrical. Not sure how much juice they use. Super vid 👍🏻
I'd very much like an insta pot or a ninja but I think it draws too much power for a boat. i have a little electrical stove top so if we're totally flush with power (which rarely happens!) and looking for ways to use more I could use my pressure cooker on that 😄
So glad to see you both back in the water and sailing to beautiful places. That anchorage looks like it’s out of a holiday brochure. Loving your smiles 😂
Ahh I'm really glad to hear that! I def think Peake is the best yard in the area and there are a few to choose from but having heard about the other yards in the area, I'd definitely go back there... AND it's in an awesome country too 😀
Does the bottom coat really adhere where the stands were if painted right before splash? Could you add another stand to the mix and rotate them out a foot from original position?
Usually you ask the yard to move the stands after you've painted the hull, they move them one at a time so the boat stays in place and then you paint over the place where the stand was. Where the keel sits on blocks is a little harder to move (the boat would have to be hoisted to do this) so you have to give it a quick lick of paint on the underside of the keel before they splash you and in theory, so long as the paint has formed a layer of skin by the time it gets into the water it can finish setting in the water.
If you have a reasonable AC power supply you should get an Insta Pot. It's an electric pressure cooker that adds a lot of versatility over an old one and you will find yourselves using it to cook almost everything! We love ours. Thanks for sharing your lives with us, keep up the good work.
I'd love an insta pot but we just don't have the juice for it! Even with 800watts of solar and a wind gen we just have enough power to charge laptops & electronics, run our fridge and starlink (starlink takes about the same juice as a fridge compressor (4-5amps)). But I think I'd be the same as you if I had one - always finding an excuse to use it!
We both wanted to learn and got gifted it so couldn't pass up the opportunity to have one... buuuuut its sat there unloved and unplayed for a while now!
Great to see Adam in fine form. Last few episodes I’ve discerned some angst. Is being back on the water in Millie the difference? One aspect of your videos that I appreciate is the choice of shots, field of views, music, and pace. It touches my heart, brings your life close to us, and illuminates the grace of life. ❤ Local fruit? I think I can walk to local fruit in a month or so! 🎉
I'm sorry to hear you think Ads has been angsty, now that the boat is back in the water his confidence level with what she's able to do and therefore what WE'RE able to achieve has increased massively. We're both looking forward to doing some good sailing this year now!
In Trinidad, Carib is considered the official beer of the island, and as such, it is a go-to for both locals and visitors. Why were you drinking a Coor’s?
Haha, we actually don't mind Coors, it's like beer flavoured fizzy water! and when it's SO frickin' hot here they're very easy to drink. BUT we have been introduced to the Carib Pilsner here (which I haven't seen in other islands) and I quite like that!
@@SailingMillennialFalcon - The reason I asked the question was I assumed that a locally brewed beer might be less expensive and more tasty then a beer brewed in US and shipped to Trinidad. Thanks!

Great to see you back in the water!!
You find out how much stress you've been under when you finally relax at anchor all by yourself.
All the hard work paying off, quite different to some of your early voyage’s less stress and some great shots.

Can't beat a good rack of ribs. I smoke a lot of meat, and that's something that I would desperately miss out on the water I'm afraid.
If we ever return to land I could image owning a smoker, so I'm very jealous that you're able to have one!
Great episode. Who is the manufacturer of the weather station you have on the saloon bulkhead? It looks a very comprehensive piece of kit. Thanks
I sang Fortunate Son during that segment. No royalties required if I sing it to myself as I watch. 😂

lovely episode, good to be back on the blue stuff
Oh, I wondered about your lack of track and that the sheet goes through the guard rails. I'd prefer that - the tracks are a pia on our little boat.
I loved the hasty "not the beer" haha. Can't have people thinking Coors Light's are a bev worthy of the view 😂
Bwah! Fortunate Son! Best Jungle music, fer sure.
All anchor inspections should be done with beer in hand. Says so in the manual.
Glad we're reading the same manual 😂
Yes pressure cooker well done
Love the NEEL 47 Trimaran you shared the yard with. My dream boat 😊
You guys seem to have it all right now, thanks to efforts and your skills ! However no BOB or 4 legged friend onboard yet !
Millie looks excellent, you remembered John's words, "look after a good boat, and when it gets hairy the boat looks after you.
I haven't heard him say that one yet! But I 100% agree with him 😁 There's not much that we disagree with him about to be honest!
What a great video, i was either smiling or laughing the entire time.
Really good seeing you two back on the water again without any major problems that beer was well deserved.
Arrival beer can and should be taken on arrival regardless of the time. It's in the skippers handbook. 😁🍺🍺🍺 Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.

Kinda off topic for this channel. But what happened to the Midshipmen or was it the Admirality... ... I enjoyed that banter.
