And the next wc he was on the field when they were eliminated. He is in england for so long and cant speak english. Another thing those turns shielding the ball is seldom done by any english DM. They usually dispose of the ball quickly or make many square passes. And is the main reason why england doesnt win silverware. The last world class DM for england is peter reid. And he couldnt get picked. Then michael carrick and he could make the team either. Owen hargreaves was used as a wing back . I dont think england is where i want to learn this position. England can teach striker they always have world class strikers. Their best DM now is winks and they think he is trash. The thing is DM must be able to dribble in traffick. That cannot be taught. And they must be strong on the ball and difficult to dispossess. They must also have vision and they must control the tempo of the game. Plenty of their game is natural ability.

Dont go straight into the tackle ,try and force them to pass or retreat by pressing on them with strength. Having speed is a huge advantage especially against fast players

A simple trick is to pass the ball to the wall. Keep doing it,and keep moving further and further from the ball .it improves shot power,first touch,and passing.
