What a worthy inductee into your Hall of Fame. The ultimate push your luck game. I love it so much and it is so simple, everyone can play it. I really need to get a physical copy since I mostly played it on Board Game Arena.
Clearly I think it does - but then I laid out my case in the video! :) 20 years without going out of print - and still a very enjoyable experience every time I play. I’m not approaching these Hall of Fame entries in any order - just when I fancy talking about them. So I’m not saying this is the seventh best game of all time… There are a lot of games which fulfil my criteria for entry into the Hall of Fame and I’ll gradually introduce them over time. - games that I love - which are also commercial hits with staying power - or had a significant impact on the board game world Interested to know why you think it doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame?
@@AdaminWales Yeah, maybe I'm being too harsh on these entry games, as most of the time they're pretty simple. Some might say that's a bonus, I personally don't think they're complex enough and have much variety/playability for myself.
@@AdaminWales Oh well, I should just stop linking to things. :) Had a few corrections and suggestions: 1. The name of the game didn't "revert" to Diamant. Both Diamant (Europe) and Incan Gold (US) still co-exist. 2. The expansion mentioned was already released in French in 2022 - BGG's info is wrong, and I just submitted a correction. In 2017, the rules for the relics were simplified. All editions of the game (US and Europe) now have pre-printed values on those cards, so they're easier to explain - it was one of the few pain points. I recommend just writing the new values on the cards, which you can find in Faidutti's blog by googling "Les reliques de Diamant Diamant’s Relics". Regarding what you said about lackluster rounds, if no-one gets anything since the traps come up too soon, just play another round! :)

Very perceptive analysis, and good point about Fred, Daphne and Velma. Seems obvious now!
What a surprise. Considering the others on the list, does this really deserve to be in the Hall of Fame?

Great game!
I think I have a comment lost in a "held for review" queue, since I unwisely pasted a link in it :(
Nothing in my "held for review" queue! So it's lost in the ether I'm afraid! Feel free to comment again :)
