I could spend all day on this market. Love grocery shopping, especially for spices. Turkiye is a beautiful country and Turkish people are so friendly and hospitable. My best friend hails from Kayseri but lives in Belgium. We've been friends since 1972 and chat almost daily.

I would say in all around turkey especially if you leave urban centers inflation isn't much of a problem, dollar still below 30, yeah but in urban centres you will feel the heat of inflation it maybe because of a lot of tourists visit these metropolitans, but if you compare it to Pakistan cost of living is very low In turkey, in Pakistan we have to face the price surge every day on gorcery and other utilities.
Can you let me know which areas is having Sunday morning street market or Saturday afternoon street market in Istanbul. Arrive Saturday morning from Mardin. Also, can you advise any wholesale market for dried fruits such as apricot. Looking to buy few cartons(5 kg)

En France, le kilo de cerises est au minimum à 15 euros en pleine saison alors que là bas c'est environ 1 euro 😲 Mais j'imagine que pour les turcs c'est peut être cher pour eux, il faut donc relativiser.
Oui, tu as raison. Ce n'est pas bon marché pour nous en général. Des cerises de bonne qualité peuvent être trouvées jusqu'à 3-4 euros. Mais puis-je demander quel est le salaire minimum mensuel en France ? Ici, c'est autour de 385 euros.

It’s not surprising. Many Turkish manufacturers are dealing with high inflation so reducing costs by adding syrup makes sense. It’s just a bit dishonest.

Unfortunately I read that a lot of honey imported from Turkey into the U.K. and the EU had syrup added so I now don’t buy Turkish honey.
I don’t think they would do it when importing especially. I hope they don’t. Here we just look for known brands and local producers that we know.
