    With all this R&D, I predict one day the crawling community will be able to purchase Crawer Canyon branded tires and ancillaries.

    Another great quick view thanks for doing them they're fun and informative, and Baseline was a trooper as always.😁

    I have two sets of this tire and as they wear in they get better. I run them on a comp truck and a trail truck.

    This is my go-to tire. I’ve run the 4.75s and Class Ones. As a trail tire, they haven’t let me down yet.

    I'm impressed with the side hill. And overall looks like they do great. The KM3's seem to be used in the full size world a lot, but it's hard to tell whether it's marketing or if they work good and are chosen to be used that much.

    The forward drive of this tire. I been binge watching your tire quick views and on stage 1 there was no hesitation at the bean. Felt like it should of scored a little higher. Haha great review but. Got a set of these on my on both my real life car and one of my crawlers.

    I love canyon trail tires but these really look good and seem to perform as good if not better than the Traxxas tire. They have been added to my list for tires this year.

    Have you considered testing the pitbull berserker 2.2 in alien kompound? Been running it on my gatekeeper and have been pretty impressed with overall traction and how well it will clear mud with a bit of wheel spin.

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  9 місяців тому

      The only PitBull tire tested here that did modestly OK was the Rock Beast XOR. Everything else has ranged from fair to poor. Their pricing is also BONKERS-- 40 bucks a pair now-- so they're never high up on the wish list.

    It's kinda funny how the tires you want to fail end up being tested in less than optimal conditions... I'm actually glad to see these did fairly well regardless. Anyway, I miss your old, good quality content like "econo motor" test in Vanimal, or when you were testing Blue Sky High's first "LCG" chassis with the Deepwoods... I know the Deepwoods aren't even a thing anymore but it seemed like your older content had more passion and intrige to it. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, I still love your content.... I just miss when it seemed to have more compassion a few years ago... Anyway, sorry to rant and I still love your content. I just miss the "love" if you will that you used to put into your videos. Once again I hope not to offend and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Have a good night

    Did these do better on the side hill than the swampers because the back tires washed out, rather than stick and cause a rollover?

    • @Andy_Yates
      @Andy_Yates 9 місяців тому

      They did slip a bit and they also didn't appear to roll on the rounded shoulder of the tire like the Swamper did. The KM3 and Flat Iron are more squared off than the Swamper

    • @ShoddyRC
      @ShoddyRC 9 місяців тому

      @@Andy_Yates compare 14:57 of this video to 15:51 of the swamper video. That can’t all be claimed by the shoulder profile. I think the front driver tire placement is the reason this one didn’t roll over.

    when bubble juice you mean the one the kids blow to create bubbles? isn't sticky? and by the way is that baseline enduro an IFS? Sorry new to your channel and new to the hobby would be glad to connect! :)

      Yep, the stuff for bubbles. It doesn’t stay slippery and dries kind of tacky. Baseline is just an Enduro Sendero SE, no IFS.

    @CasperRc81 9 місяців тому

    But the “bump” the rear tires don’t seem to contact at the same time. So if your obstacle on the right of the sticks out before the left side seems normal it would shift to the left. Maybe ones that fallow strait perhaps the tires are more absorbent than say this set or others. Idk
    Fun Watch thanks

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  9 місяців тому

      Oh, it's tread pattern here for 90% of it. A tire with any kind of overall chevron pattern to the lugs will bump straighter. Because remember-- if it's a 1.9" Class 2 tire, they all get tested on the exact same set of inserts.

    Boggers over the Baja Pro X??

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  9 місяців тому +1

      I would say yes, but conditionally. I can't imagine a situation where the same rig could run both. The 1.9 Bogger is basically the size of a 2.2-- so if you're full fendered and whatnot, I don't think they'd do very well. I generally just don't prefer the cartoony look of the Pro X. They perform well, I'm just not a huge fan of the design.

  • @LogainTheHumane
    @LogainTheHumane Місяць тому

    The thing about G8 isn't that it has worse grip than predator compound. You're using it out of it's natural element. It's meant for heavy rigs, and predator is meant for light rigs. I have 2 13 pound rigs and one that's 18 pounds. On those rigs I get better grip with G8 than predator because the lugs can support the weight. Predator just folds over and does very little to grab. On my 8 pound rig though predator does better

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  Місяць тому

      ProLine needs a compound that exists in the "performance hole" that exists between G8 and Predator. I mean, it already exists, but it's called JConcepts green. ProLine is one of the only companies that makes nearly their full run of tires in two compounds, while apparently just using the same mold for both. THAT is why some tires do better than others within their own line. As the compound gets softer, the carcass needs to get thicker, and basically no tire (that I can think of offhand) exhibits this other than the HPI/HB Rover. The rig that tests tires weighs ~5.5lbs, and we have another tester that's right at 7lbs. This is pretty much the running average for typical non-hardbody rigs in "class 2."
      Eighteen pounds is absolutely ridiculous, and I love it. The heaviest thing in the Canyon's 50+ fleet is barely 11lbs.

    • @LogainTheHumane
      @LogainTheHumane Місяць тому

      @@CrawlerCanyon Makes sense. Damn 50 rigs is wild. Wish I had the time and money for that. I got 5. Went for quality over quantity. Each one is over 1.5k. My “fancy” rig is probably around 3-4k. I couldn’t imagine having the time and money for more than that lol
