True. beside the storyline, in gameplay Cesar is way more useful than that busta Sweet. Cesar can actually shoot enemies better that Sweet who just only standing around. Plus in mission we as players always getting help from Cesar meanwhile Sweet always asking us for help.
I think Cesar's most important role was showing CJ he had to broaden his social horizons, and that there were better people outside of the Grove Street losers.
But putting dope out of the homies is also your responsibility, sweet was a brother and the homies were too childhood friends of cj and when cj ran away to lc fir himself he helped his whole family, thinking outside is good but being a Busta isn't, also when you get caught in something then homies will always protect you whether 1 star or 6 star
It's a shame that Rockstar's programmers didn't write the script in a way that the Aztecas were a bit more friendly to CJ, specially after helping them to get back their turf. Not to the point of being able to recruit them, but at least making them 0% hostile towards him. And something similar happens with the Triads. Their behaviour is kind of neutral with CJ unless he shoots them or admits that he's from GSF.
Aztecas and families are enemies Some of them wouldn't agree to be allies with I'm already fine of CJ and Cesar being brothers but it will would be ridiculous if 2 gangs were actually allies
@@miguelcarlos1173 they're not enemies at all. Their true enemies are Ballas and Vagos. As it is pointed in this video, neither GSF or VLA sell drugs, so they have that in common. They wouldn't have to be allies, just be even more neutral towards eachother.
That's a good point :/ Even though we are not convinced that Rockstar North would decide to make Varrio Los Aztecas friendly to us, they should have at least made them neutral... And yeah, the same story applies for the Triads 🙄
Caesar was a real homie. He was the only one really there for Carl. Not even sweet his own brother didn't help out as much as Caesar did. So I see why Cj gave his blessing for Caesar to marry his sister. They became best friends near the end of the game.
What i loved about Cesar is that he changed our pre conceived notions about him. At first he looked like a dishonorable playboy but in reality he's really loyal to his family.
Cesar's love for Kendall extended to CJ, but it didn't mean Cesar cared not just because he was Kendall's brother, but because they really became good friends at the start during the lowrider mission. And they didn't let being in different gangs affect their friendship, unlike Sweet who was disapprooving of Cesar and Kendall's relationship at first because Cesar is the leader of the Aztecas, but at least in the last few missions Sweet granted Cesar's request to get CJ's assistance to help the Aztecas fend off the Vaogs.
Also I appreciate that the relationship between the two isn't just one way. Later on, CJ agreed to help Cesar take back his territory from the Vagos, and agreed to talk to Sweet about the idea of proposing to Kendl. So it was nice to see some reciprocity there.
I wanna see the parallel universe where Caesar never warns Carl about the traitors, Sweet gets killed, and Carl has to pick up the pieces. It’s a much darker story but I wanna see how it could’ve played out.
I never noticed it as a kid, but I definitely noticed it coming back to this game years later. Kendall also carried CJ in a lot of ways and that's also overlooked, he'd be hopelessly lost without the both of them
True. Kendl and Cesar acted like parents to CJ. Kendl being the voice of reason to CJ during the San Fierro events and Cesar literally being the one helping CJ out.
With how they made Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, they coulda made San Andreas stories with Ceaser as the protagonist to either play before the events of the story or after. That woulda been hella sick cuz I can see Ceaser as a gta protagonist.
Like the game takes place after cj left Los Santos.. the game would also probably reveal that Cesar already knows either sweet, Ryder or big smoke before the events of GTA San Andreas
Although Ceaser has done more than enough for CJ throughout the story, he still remains some kind of underappreciated, underrated towards CJ. Actually CJ knows he is an outsider, so his relationship with Ceaser is not as open as it is with GSF members and friends. He is ok with him being with his sister because CJ tries to be least racist possible. Otherwise Sweet already hates Ceaser (Kendl already called him racist). As we have noticed Ceaser told CJ to leave his ghetto mentality when he offered his silenced pistol to eliminate Jizzy. Overall, Ceaser has done a lot for CJ but doesn't get much appreciation and open friendly behaviour which he deserves.
CJ was never racist in the first place so I don't think he had to try not to be. He had no problem with Caesar dating his sister as long as he didn't disrespect her. It just wasn't his nature
Next to CJ, Cesar's one of the best characters in the GTA franchise. I wish there had been a San Andreas Stories where you got to play as Cesar with the events leading up to CJ's departure. See him grow from a young vato of the bario into the smart and suave latin hombre we'd later see in Los Santos 92. I'd have taken that over a remastered trilogy anyday.
