Love Suhr’s! Their aging needs some work.
So nice seeing a glossed neck! I must be one of the only people in the world who does not like satin, matte or oiled finished necks.
Suhr make amazing guitars (I have two) ... but their relicing is horrible.
Have to agree with you mate. I don't mind relics but they need to leave it to fender CS
Warrior of Genghis Khan? Cool name
@@darrenc8776 And even then, the only two I think do it right at Fender are Dale Wilson and Vincent Van Trigt
@@WarriorOfGhengisKhan Jason Smith is an absolute master at it as well
The relic looks like it had paint thinner spilled on it..not a good look.
Suhr relics.......
I see Suhr and Magnatone in the same shot, and I'm sold. My rig is a Suhr Classic S HSS and a Magnatone Varsity Reverb!
Suhr is the guitar I would like above all others
I remember Dean was selling Paulownia bodied guitars for like $250 not too long ago. Now it's a premium guitar?
The Suhr Roughneck is amazing... I am a little biased because I have one but its unique and an awesome tone machine
All those made my list...
I'm on welfare and approve this message!
That shell pink Alt T wowwwwww
That Ian Thornley model......
The Suhr Suhr looks like an old MIJ Fender Aerodyne Strat 🤣
The relicing on that Sunburst is horrible!!!!
Suhr the best
I thought John's signature was going to be Korina body?
Checked website. It is white limba
The real name for Kaori a I believe.
Think I'll join others in saying that I really like Suhr, I own one. I also really like relic's, I own one of them too.
The relic work on that Thornley is garbage....
I do like an unboxing guys. But you've put some good content out recently like the tale of two tones.
Too much content? Or just right?
@@PeachGuitars No guys I think it's just right. If you look at the likes of andertons and perhaps wildwood guitars I think you guys are in that area. Thing is guys with lock down coming again it gives us all something to hold onto I know it's just guitars and gear but it makes a difference to people you know. Plus I'm starting to see you guys mentioned over in the US on big channels so your getting the store noticed in the right ways. It's all good guys keep it coming
@@PeachGuitars i still dont get why you guys dont have 100k plus subscriber's.
How much it’s this relic one? I’m interested to buy it
$3500+tax
The Ian Thornley “Rough Neck” is pretty cool.
Lefty 😁💸
Suhr should stick to non-relic guitars. Their relic ones looks absolutely horrendous.
They are undoubtedly amazing guitars but Suhr really has some of the worst heavy relic'ing I have ever seen. I have seen small local guitar builders that do a better job than that. Hell, I improved the relic'ing on one of my Masterbuilt's because some choices were really questionable, and I did a way better job. They need to get someone who studies the techniques (because yes, it's become quite advanced at this point) and really take the time to do it properly. That melted finish look is just dreadful.
I agree. I'm a fan of relicing when it's done right, but unfortunately what I've seen from Suhr so far isn't on the same level as the Fender Custom Shop. It looks very heavy-handed and lacks detail.
@@MontyCantsin5 yes, you can really tell they are just treating it as a simple gimmick and trying to get it done as fast as possible. Thing is, people interested in that level of relic'ing on a guitar usually know what it's supposed to look like and can tell when it lacks detail and care. Bad approach...
@@Siile_: Possibly. It could also be a case of their builders just not having enough experience with relic work and its associated techniques. Fender have been doing it for a while, maybe Suhr just need time to catch up.
@@MontyCantsin5 I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's been a while now, and John Suhr is as knowledgeable as it gets, he knows what it should look like. I mean all you have to do is put the guitar next to a pic of a similarly damaged vintage Strat or a similar Masterbuilt to see there is a whole list of things wrong. They need to invest some time and research this properly. Not saying it's easy to make great looking relic's (even some Master Builders struggle with it tbh) but there is a huge gap between a just good looking one and whatever Suhr is doing.
Those Classic S Thornley's are sexy!
Shur? Wtf pich
the new headstocks are so much better. I love relics but that one is terrible LOL
