Great song about coming out of a superficial relationship. I think we all, or almost all start those kinds of relationships growing up. Friendships or couples founded over dumb things like that you had homeroom together, or you both wear black, without any sustenance to the relationship/friendship. Then, at some point as adults, you part ways because it wasn't a real relationship/friendship. As you start to split, you might fear not meeting new people. Later, you feel like this song.
I love the sincerity (and lack of snark) in her voice and her lyrics, and how the broad electronic arrangement with the echoes and everything makes her sound small and lonely, somehow. It's perfect for the song and makes it sound realer in some way I can't quite explain. Love it.
