This is a wonderful video. Recently, realizing that God rejoices over my creative work has changed my life. After over 10 years of feeling like at my core I have no real reason to make art and just struggling to find the drive to work on my ideas, I now feel a motivation unlike anything before, that I know will always be there for me to fall back on when I doubt myself. Just knowing that God wants me, it's finally enough for me.

I'm not an architect but there is a real struggle between traditional architecture versus modern self-expression. Traditional architecture is not only more beautiful but is made to last longer according to the place it was developed in. Modern architecture is either focused on short-term profits or self-expression at the cost of a building which can be loved and used for generations. It makes me think about how much this applies to my role as a writer.
Indeed, modern architecture is much more about abstract ideas than about beauty, and some schools of thought have also embraced the elevation of self-expression over beauty or serving the community. So what will you change in your approach as a writer?
@@ArtsEntertainmentMinistries , well, I think the lesson is just not to value self-expression over beauty. I'm not writing something purely to express how I feel; it should be serviceable for whatever role it is made for.
