  • There are many reasons for working the horse in hand. The horse may be young or injured and needs slow, specific training without a rider up. Or you may wish to do specific training to help the horse refine a movement, or help him change a habit that is undesirable.

Great video, so raw and real. This is very similar to how I have learned how to work horses in hand. I'm still working on getting better at this, so it's very helpful to see your different horses work.

Thank you for the useful videos and especially seeing the different horses!! I wish to ask please, before doing those exercises, are you warming up (at walk)? Or you start straight away? Thank you very much!!

I got a 6 year old Arabian Stallion that was ignored his entire life left in a small round pen never even touched when he had an injury so he has scars all over his body & my vet said he looks like his face was burned. He was so terrified it took me 4 hours to touch him. I had him fixed and worked with him for 2 years. He bucks, and bolts, and spins. I fell off him twice and brused my legs & fractured my rib. When a strong man I know convinced me he could ride him he bolted and the guy was a on the ground within 3 seconds. He was also injured. I'm back to the ground and he's improving but now I'm scared to ride him because hes super fast and small and scared.
I'm hopeful he will be a good horse. My trainer said hes got alot of potential and if I can't handle him he would take him. I'm not ready to get rid of him yet.

We hope you solve his problems, and that you both learn at lot from the experience! Good luck to you all.
