Wilbur is a great character, but Ghostbur just has so much love from the fandom. He may not have been able to understand but he was the only one there for Tommy during exile. He tried to show the love to his son that alivebur never did. He only wanted people to be happy. He does not deserve the ending he got, suffering for all eternity.
"That Alivebur never did" oof, during the L'manberg's Revolution arc Wilbur cared for Fundy but Fundy snapped at him at treating him like a kid, so Wilbur stopped. Not an excuse because later Wilbur fully neglects him, but he did care for him at once point.
@@ayonixanimations He only began neglecting him after Fundy basically told the man who took his nation and threw him out that he wasn’t his father. Wilbur, especially after Eret’s betrayal, did NOT take lightly to traitors one bit, especially not from his own *son*. Which was, most likely, a heavy factor to his spiral into a deep depression and insanity. Wilburs mental health was so heavily degraded and blinded by the outcome of L’manberg’s destruction. He was so angry and upset, I understand why he grew to spite Fundy. He didn’t really neglect him, Fundy can take care of himself, but he did brush him off. Wilbur was also incredibly self destructive during Pogtopia and pushed everybody away, Fundy not being an exception. Anyways, in his defense, Wilbur’s mindset was SUPER fucking screwed up and distorted. But yeah, in the end, he shouldn’t have brushed Fundy off like that. It’s not a situation of “HES A HORRIBLE PERSON FOR DOING THAT HE JUST DID IT ON PURPOSE TO MAKE FUNDY SUFFER” and more of “Yeah I understand why he did that valid ig but that isn’t an excuse for his actions either way, just reasoning”
@@ayonixanimations EXACTLY!! I see so much c!wilbur neg and so many people portraying him as this guy who just wants to harm everything, manipulate people, and traumatize everyone. But that was never what his character was about. It’s mostly the newer viewers who come to this conclusion because they didn’t get to witness Wilburs spiral live. (I began watching the day of the elections)

I love how much emotion you can feel from Tommy, how he just buries his head in Ghostbur's shoulder. The audio works really well for them, it makes me sad-happy
Aww. Peter definitely has good voice lines for Ghostbur, and I love how this moment was created using them. Love the expressions and how there was a second showing of Ghostbur being hugged by Tommy. Honestly, I can see Tommy doing that to Ghostbur in canon if Ghostbur does get revived. Also, Mumza inclusion was smart. Great job!

I just think that Peter Parker's voice would be better for TommyInnit than for Wilbur, but the scene sat so well together either way. Great work as always! What if in an alternative universe, another spirit actually took the control of the body of Wilbur, making it the actual Alivebur that we know and that Ghostbur was in fact still out there or even trap in the place where that same spirit come from ? I know it sounds impossible in the canon, but I like the idea that Ghostbur could still be out there and that Tommy could found him, which would make him say something like "Wait... if you are here... then who is the Wilbur that was revived ?"
A w h ! My heart, Casserole you have just blown me away once again with the talent you have for doing this. You can just feel the emotion radiating off of Tommy and its just amazing!!
I like to think that ghostbur is all of c!Wilbur's good traits, and all the emotions he was scared to show, and once he went mad and died he got separated into two, ghostbur, and revivebur. Revivebur is all of Wilbur's bad traits and negative emotions, and he is all that is left on the dream smp now. This gives me reassurance that Wilbur once was good, he just went through a lot.
I always thought of Ghostbur as a fractured piece of Wilbur’s soul. He was the childlike innocence, the joy, uncorrupted and pure. Which is why when he felt anything else he forgot it, those emotions were not his to keep. Ghostbur could only remember the good times, memories Wilbur associated with joy. Which is why Ghostbur stuck to Tommy, Techno, and Phil so much. His childhood and his family were, for the most part, what he remembered. (This in the hc that SBI is canon, please don’t argue over it)
This is just… I have no words! And when Ghostbur gave Tommy the blue, I just lost it and cried. I missed ghostbur content ever since he was killed/revived by dream. this is my first bit of ghostbur content I’ve seen in a long time!
I feel the need to comment because I hardly ever cry to anything but this made me - this is deffo something i didn't know i needed ;-; i miss tommy & ghostbur's relationship so much, well done
That hug was the best part...hurts so much knowing he's sleeping on the seats of the train and that he's crying at the station whenever he's awake because he's all alone and his own tears cause him more pain so he cries even more. "Tommy you said everything was going to be fine" Can't count to ten without thinking about Ghostbur. 😢
