My family is black white and Indian. On my mother's side of the family, I have the best hair. I get my hair for my dad's side of the family. I just thought it was because we had Indian in us. Watching different videos of black women's hair that they called nappy, they actually have the most beautiful hair. It's s very versatile. You can do so many things with it. With mine... I can either straighten it or leave it looking like a wild bush. My roots are extra curly, the middle is wavy and the tips look like tumbleweeds. WTH? ? I think the curly hair is the best. Mine is not curly, it's in a category of.... HOT-A. DAM-A MESS-A
Wow I have super curly hair that I have hated my entire life but what you are going through is so much work! I am amazed at what all you go through! When you talked about how long it took it made me laugh because when I was younger we would tell guys "No I can't go out tonight I have to do my hair" so not much has changed except we went through it every single week! I have a lot of appreciation for what you do !!
Thanks girl !!! I just enjoy taking my time with my hair so I don’t cause unnecessary breakage and I’m usually doing other things throughout the process
Your hair is dreamy. Here's a suggestion to save your coins that your hair may like. Blend 1 cup of olive oil with 2 eggs and make your own hair mayo/deep conditioner. Or the oil may be subbed with or combined w/ almond oil, coconut oil, shea butter, safflower oil, argon oil ect
bravo beautiful CLEAN hair after 3 months of them being styled...just saw another video where a girl had not washed her crochet braids for 6 months...totally RACHET
Were you just wanting something different? I hadn’t seen your channel before, so I didn’t know of your amazing length 😳😳 Have you ever had mini or semi-mini-twist with only your hair? 👍🏽👍🏽
Wtf does that mean like we shouldn't be because it isn't straight 🙄my daddy once said anything easy isn't worth having...I love my hair as should she or anybody else straight or not...
I've watched so many of these videos and the crotchet seems to be the one that is the easiest to remove. They are sped up though so I guess you'd have to have experience to really know.
Hello I happened to come across your video today, and Im So confused why we (black women) all of a sudden need so many special products and we need so many hours to shampoo, condition, detangle our hair. I’m natural too now, I’m also a hairstylist and I remember my mom shampooing our hair on the weekends, conditioning and braiding in about 6 braids every 2 weeks if it was a special occasion we went to my aunts and she pressed and curled it. Most of us have had natural hair most of our childhood (until we were old enough to start messing with it ourselves) now it’s a major production - I can understand 3/4 hours at the most, but 7/8 hours....why? Maybe because you’re doing it yourself Huhn ..... don’t take offense I’m just so confused why it takes soooo much time and why all the cocktailing of products?
Ok..I agree with everything u said especially getting older messing with our own hair..perm..bleach..dye..all the above..but my question to u ..since your a hairstylist and u kno your thing..😊..I was wondering and looking up..is it true if u used apple cider vinegar and water for matted hair like her my braids is 3 months jus took it out..been rocking lace wigs..😂🤣..I'm jus so ready to take this project on..bcuz girl my hair was already thick now it's like jesus christ..please help me..😂🤣..but anyways is it safe..if so..could I use eggs and mayonnaise if it dry it up..my mom use to use that on my hair when I was younger..I'm like u so sick of all the weird stuff in the store to make us hair what it already is
Yes protective styles can be left in for long periods of time if your properly install , maintain, and remove them ... my hair and scalp has no issues 😘
GIRL when you first cut i had a HEART ATTACK bc you cut so close
and then i realized ya hair was braided underneath
i almost cried LMFAOOOO
Same I was dang her hair that short😭😭😂
Literally wat I was bout to comment
I legit screamed WHAT ARE YOU DOING
The crochet braids looked great on you, and it's obvious that you took excellent care of your natural hair during that time.
I just hate when people say black girls hair cant be long naturally
Lol
People are stupid

Your hair is very clean. There was a lady the other day and her scalp was so dirty which she admitted. Your hair looks nice!!🙂
I usually wash my hair while it’s braided
I almost spit out my wine when you cut those first braids... i was omg she just cut her hair off!!!

Wow! Hardly any build up at all. Love your hair, it’s beautiful!
Might have to try crochet braids more! I heard it grows hair very good
Yes it does !!!
I used to remove the knots on my crochet twists, wash them, let them sit dry, and reinstall. Major new growth every time.

Thank you !!

I love 4C hair....makes me mad I do not have it
Jazzmen Aldridge I know. It's the best, strongest, and most versatile. I want it too😍
It is so pretty smh 4a is weird to me to have
I have 3b/c, alot of girls tell me it's nice, but i would love to have 4 type of hair... it's beautiful
My hair is 4a but I have fine strands which suck
Jazzmen Aldridge this shit is harddd to maintain.
you have beautiful hair, thanks for sharing!
You have one of my favorite shows on lol Gotham!
Yess!!!!! It’s one of my favorites
Melody Bealena
My friends told me some spoilers for next season... they are so mean
You have the most beautiful hair💯
Thank you 😊

i love watching these videos! they're so interesting and involved. But, I do have to admit I am thankful for my easy, straight white girl hair lol
Wtf does that mean like we shouldn't be because it isn't straight 🙄my daddy once said anything easy isn't worth having...I love my hair as should she or anybody else straight or not...
Your hair is gorgeous 😍 I gotta subscribe now, I'm trying to get like you! 😂
I really thought she was chopping all her hair for a second
Gotham in the background 💕😻
Hey love what does the Black Tea do? Does it help grow it or what? Thanks
Yes the caffeine stimulates your scalp for growth and also reduces shedding
Melody Bealena gotcha thanks love
That’s not bad shedding at all!
Fascinating. I had no idea.
I've watched so many of these videos and the crotchet seems to be the one that is the easiest to remove. They are sped up though so I guess you'd have to have experience to really know.
I would say they’re easier compared to box braids or a sew in
That is a really nice red purse.
0:13 someone can tell me what’s the name of the song?🙏🏽
This isn’t about your hair but could you tell me why your nails bend down so much. Why don’t they just go straight out?
Debbie Atkinson they’re curved tips. It’s a style people like and ask for.
You dont need to cut them but I understand it take a good while but for me when I take them down it's easy and fast
When I had twist like those I just took them out and threw them in the washer and re used them
You have beautiful hair
lorteea huff thank you❤️
Why you didn't keep them and reused them later?
What the name of the song at the end?

I can’t believe she left those in for so long ..
Yes protective styles can be left in for long periods of time if your properly install , maintain, and remove them ... my hair and scalp has no issues 😘
these are not only regrowth but hair slides back
Yea the hair slides back due to the regrowth 🤯
Video starts at 2:39
So helpful 🙃
You look like Jill Scott in the first two minutes of this video.
If that's 4c then my girl she got 4f
3? I leave mine on for 5. Lol.
3 months is my limit lol I’ve tried longer but my hair doesn’t like that
jill scott lol
why would u leave them in 3 months??😔... wayy too long..
Leesa Stewart she took really good care of her hair tho. No dirt or build up so she straight 🤷🏽♀️
Leesa Stewart It’s not if you take care your hair. I did at least that when I had braids and I wash in between months and it’s all good
Doesn't look like 4C hair!!!
What is it then ??
