Very nice sculling oar. I am looking into buuilding one, too. For my 30ft. Tacking outrigger.

It is a good arrangement. However, the fulcrum of the oar is too close to the centre to act as a rudder, but very good to act as a Chinese oar, though it has the upper swing arm missing. Still, it is good fun with not a lot of commitments to go to sea.
