I'm Jamaican American and I went to Sri Lanka. The people are so nice. I was very angry when I was at the airport to go back home. I didn't want to come back to New York City. I can't wait to go back. It was so stress free. I must have gained 2 years of my life back after spending only one week there.
Oh Sri Lanka; one of the most beautiful humble people I have met. Miss the Village life, I spent an year in a Village like this. They are so kind and warm, very helpful. I was in Srilanka on a 5 day tourist visit in 2018 June, my childhood dream was to visit Ceylon, and i am amazed by its simple people, very scenic locations, pristine beaches and roads, i always wondered why they dont domesticate cows and Buffaloes, they can get milk and they can get good cash, during my stay there i found no one consuming Milk, Tea is to a very great extent not at all with milk, yes their tea tastes great, and is different from India. My good wishes to the lankan friends, do come back to normalcy - cannot see the economic crisis you people are undersoing. I wouldd like to visit this beautiful piece of paradise once more.
Sri Lankan lay people are sensitive about the cows, they don't want to keep them in cages, or give them up easily for meat. Cows also don't have dedicated areas for feeding. So the cows end up roaming the village and eating the plantations and crops. They don't want to see the animals and people suffer, so having cows is too much responsibility which very low number of people care to take up.
Animal husbandry is not a domestic life style or economic way mostly , because of many reasons , i mean not common. . But maybe in some areas In my area I never found anyone having animals even a hen .
Sri Lankan people is one of the best hospitality and loveable people in the world brother. They treat the people like you don't want to leave. Greetings from 🇨🇦

Among my travels Sri Lanka is way up at the top of memorable experiences and by the way, my last passport had maximum allowable added pages (inserts) which adds up to a lot of entries in many countries over the years. The corona virus control freak hoopla or rather the ludicrous over reaction really put a damper on international travel, can't stand it. Sri Lanka is a truly special country with the sweetest, humble people, nice food, lots of inexpensive, surprisingly stylish places to stay from one end of the island to the other. I loved Sri Lanka actually, a huge variety of places from tea in the misty highlands to beaches, ancient temples, elephants and old seaport towns. No room here in comments but lots to see. The bird and wildlife population is huge, oddly the tamest wildlife I've seen anywhere. That's almost a puzzle, maybe because of Buddhist beliefs so that people generally just don't bother animals? Anyway it's noticeable. A great island, I tell young people to just go, don't think too much, just go and worry about the money later which always works out anyhow. Go to Sri Lanka and really get moving around on the island it's worth it.

It is my pleasure to watch these villagers are treating you well. They offered a king coconut and a papaya for free. If you go to a supermarket in the town they will charge you thousands for those. I am so happy that there are good people still live among us. I was also from a rural village but now live in Canada. However, this is a Beautiful video and I really enjoyed watching this.

She invited you to home because you said you gonna give her something, it is a nice thing to get invited to a home in SL and she might have thought to give you a tea for the kindness. In Sri lanka treating visitors is a real good decency. How ever poor someone is they will still serve you something ❤

It is my pleasure to watch these villagers are treating you well. They offered a king coconut and a papaya for free. If you go to a supermarket in the town they will charge you thousands for those. I am so happy that there are good people still live among us. I was also from a rural village but now live in Canada. However, this is a Beautiful video and I really enjoyed watching this.
