Mark see the comment from Wikipedia. Boerewors, (pronounced [ˈbuːrəˌvɔrs]) a type of sausage which originated in South Africa. It is an important part of South African, Zimbabwean, Botswana(motswana) and Namibian cuisine and is popular across Southern Africa. The name is derived from the Afrikaans words boer ("farmer") and wors ("sausage"). Another great video.

He is actually eating at a Zim restaurant in North Carolina (America) , but yes, I were excited as well - also thought he was in Zim. I'm from SA as well and would love to welcome Mark to this continent!! Lekker man😁
It originates from the Bantu speaking tribes and people but not limited to them because most Africans have similar cuisine but different names in each culture. Kenyans call it nyama choma. The South African natives use Afrikaans because of the settlers there unlike other Southern African and East African countries who still have names for it in their indigenous languages.

Holy Holy Mark you're on my doorstep, I'm in South Africa, Johannesburg, and boerewors is from South Africa , it roughly translates to Farmers sausage, ask for shesanyama, pap and chakalaka, you won't be disappointed and don't forget to say Lekker lekker😋😋😋

He is actually eating at a Zim restaurant in North Carolina (America) , but yes, I were excited as well - also thought he was in Zim. I'm from SA as well and would love to welcome Mark to this continent!! Lekker man😁
@@ronelsteenkamp8716 oh you serious 😮😮😮...it would've been so cool if he were here, because we got some lekker chow in our cities too😋😋😋
It originates from the Bantu speaking tribes and people but not limited to them because most Africans have similar cuisine but different names in each culture.
Kenyans call it nyama choma.
The South African natives use Afrikaans because of the settlers there unlike other Southern African and East African countries who still have names for it in their indigenous languages.
@@Layla-fr7mf boerewoers is South African sausage hence the name originated by afrikaans
Chakalaka a mixture of different ingredients hence the name but South African mainly for braais
LOL, WAS SEND THE LINK TO THIS VIDEO FROM A RHODESIAN LIVING IN DURBAN SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦!👍🇿🇦🇬🇧
Happy to see some familiar food, isn't this typical South African cuisine though especially the boerewors and the pap...mmmmh? Anyway, enjoy it Mark, Lekker !!
Zimbabwe was colonized from South Africa... that explains your Boerewors. Zimbabwe shares several language groups with South Africa, thus a lot is similar on cuisine as well, but there are differences. Zimbabweans generally do no like abo Kale and Cabbage
ZIMBABWEAN FOOD GIANT ZIM PIRI PIRI CHICKEN O my gosh now I'm craving I wish I can grab it out of the screen
North Carolina? Wow, going there over the weekend. They are like an hour from me. 💃😋
