The way these double time rappers deliver their bars is like listening to a metal guitar solo. Great stuff. My head exploded the first time i heard this song.
Its funny that you noticed how much this has in common with metal, tech 9 also is a metal fan. He and Corey Taylor did a song a few years back called Wither, you should check it out.
Now you really need to check out Speedom from Tech N9ne ft. Eminem and Krizz Kaliko. It's just as mental. So Dope is another great track (you may like the video).
Tech N9ne: Midwest Choppers, Come Gangsta, In the Air, Einstein, Fragile, Dysfunctional, Areola, Everready, Now it's on, Sorry n s#it, Riot Maker. Etc. Tech has so much good stuff. Hard stuff, funny stuff, stuff that bounces. He's all over the place and he's been at it since the 90s. Come gangsta is my favorite. Subbed and looking forward to more Tech.
FYI the term Choppers refers to people who rap fast to the point where it sounds like automatic gun fire. There have been a few “Midwest Choppers” tracks by Tech. This was taking it worldwide. That’s why there was a couple other languages spoken. They also call out the city/country before the rapper comes on. You guys should do a video for Catfish Billy or Get Away by Yelawolf. He was the “slow” one on this track.
I have to say, I think you to might be my favorite metalhead reactors. metal head react are probably my favorite type of reaction channels and yall two are arguably my favorite at the moment. Would love to see you two react to NF When I grow up and Also lil dicky Professional rapper as well.
Rap as Music and Hip Hop as a culture has a very strong link to the American Punk Scene, in that they both have their origins in New York in the 1970s, both Cultures dealt with rebellion against authority in their lyrics and also due to the fact that one of the only places where rap music was accepted and actually played was in Punk Rock Clubs. Also of note is that Tech N9ne named his Record label Strange Music after the Doors songs Strange Days, and People are Strange and Tech N9ne is a fan of groups such as Slipknot and System of a Down. He even has songs with Corey Taylor (Wither), Serg Tarkian (Straight out the Gate) and he was even able to do a song with the remaining members of the Doors in 2013 called Strange 2013, You guys should definitely check out these songs. He also has an EP titled Therapy which is a Nu Metal/Rap-Metal album produced by Ross Robinson who discovered such bands as Korn, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit.
Oh gosh, what a joy watching you on this. Hilariously I've heard this so many times that I know so much of it - I almost envy you hearing it for the first time. Fantastic reaction!
Thank you for reviewing this. You guys are awesome. This song is soo great because it show cases multiple artists in the speed rap genre. "I'm light years, ahead of my peers."
I LOVE that you reacted to Tech N9ne...He is a true lyricist (along w/the other lyricists in this song)..PLEASE check out his other songs...especially some of his older ones..You won't be disappointed..👌
Probably one of my favorite things about tech is that he is one of the few rappers that can pull off a rap from rock music. Never disappointed with the N9na!
Oh, and there is a group that mixes rap with dubstepy-hardrocky background for anyone interested in such music - Dope D.O.D. They're not that fast but i do enjoy them a lot. P.S. Tech is not in the mainstream cause he is all independent.
when yall said lets finish it strong right before twisted insane came on and all i could do was smile your reaction to this song is great your reaction to twisted insane priceless lol he needs more light lol, keep it up! death metal for life
My co worker isnt into the rap scene. Metal head at heart. But when I played this album and "straight out the gate" featuring serj. He was impressed. And his exact words were "I'm scared, that I like it"
On the note when you guys said that Tech and Em sound similar but also different to the point of contrast. You're pretty spot on. Yes, on a structural level, fast rap doesn't have many variations. At least between Tech and Em with what structures they're comfortable with, the difference comes with their identity as rappers. They both came from the same roots when they made their way learning in the Hip Hop genre, you can hear some Horrorcore influence here and there with words they use for the imagery in their rhymes. A good comparison would be that of Em and Tech's style versus that of the Bone Thugz or Twista since they have completely different structures but are still able to deliver concise lines. I believe this is mainly due to the difference in their journies to being rappers. Busta also has a style of his own that's different than Twista despite being similar in structure (except for his stutter lines, which is pretty fucking awesome btw). Just my two cents. Edit: I had a feeling hair guy would like Tech more than Em though. Since Tech mixes his music with more Metal themed sounds, as opposed to Em's who uses more Hard Rock and Alternative.
tech n9ne is one of the most metal rappers out there. i recommend checking out more of his songs. he has a lot of "dark" lyrics in his songsl. darker than rappers normally use. and he also got some collab songs with metal vocalists like corey taylor, jonathan davis and serj tankian
Fast rappers known as Choppers.. Tittle is world wide choppers.. That's why theres a country mentioned before they start doing their verse (except for tech9 & twista)
Id suggest that u listen to Tech N9ne's EBAH or Hard. Its great that more people are listening to Tech and the reason that Tech isn't mainstream is, and I quote, "Tech will never go mainstream, mainstream will go Tech"n
Tech N9ne has a lot of metal head fans. That's why Tech is able to perform at so many rock/metal festivals
Indeed
Riot Maker gets the mosh pits going! 💯🔥🤘🤘
Yeeep
Tech N9ne - Speedom (WWC2) (feat. Eminem & Krizz Kaliko) - that should be a very nice follow up to this!
This was going to be my recommendation too.
Mine also, lol. Minus well do Midwest Choppers too.
or Straight Out The Gate - Scott Stevens Remix featuring Serj Tankian. good rock rap mix and who doesnt love Serj
I was going to say the same thing speed on either that or the one that he did with the doors. Strange Days was def a awesome track as well
Highly Recommend WWC2
Fastest of them all in this song is the guy at the end. "Twisted Insane" and why yes that's me and Tech N9ne in my thumbnail.
unkles 😂😂😂
The way these double time rappers deliver their bars is like listening to a metal guitar solo. Great stuff. My head exploded the first time i heard this song.
i wrote that before finishing your video where you said the exact same thing lol
Two great minds think alike 🤘
The "slow guy" was Yelawolf. Roll Tide.
Yelawolf got some 🔥🔥 too
Indeed
Its funny that you noticed how much this has in common with metal, tech 9 also is a metal fan. He and Corey Taylor did a song a few years back called Wither, you should check it out.

Yall definitely need to check out Tech n9ne- Speedom (World wide choppers 2) (feat. Eminem)
That song would be good if it wasn't a "worldwide" choppers track with only US artists.
"Like I Aint" is my latest fave. Pretty much anything Tech is a banger.
Duuuudes Busta Rhymes verse in this track blew my head off! He's old school too and he was doing this shit way back in the day! Much love guys!
Twisted Insane was that last guy, He's known big time in the HorrorCore scene🔥 Guys should react to "Chop Shop" by him
Twisted Insane has some wild work
I remember going to the library to print out lyrics, thats old school

I've been listening to Tech since he started opening for ICP back in the day. He's transcended all things.

Tech has been one of my favorite artists for many many years. He always tries to keep things fresh without trying to be like everyone else.
Twisted Insane at The End
Straight out the gate by tech n9ne
Tech has a huge metalhead following (myself included). His partner in crime Krizz Kaliko is awesome as well. Welcome to the Strange Music family guys.
Awesome reaction. Really enjoyed
What a lot of people don’t know about tech is he was first signed with psychopathic records (ICP).
Wow really!?
My co worker isnt into the rap scene. Metal head at heart. But when I played this album and "straight out the gate" featuring serj. He was impressed. And his exact words were "I'm scared, that I like it"
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH AND TECH N9NE "MOMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT"!!!!

Thats why i like these two.
