On one hand, I think "man, if only we had many of these parts when I was a kid". On the other hand, I think "some of these parts were available and we actually could have created some of these builds, but at a very unpolished capacity". But we just weren't creative enough! Not that it's a bad thing. Btw, it's cool to see that Lego refined their parts development. I remember needing several of these as a kid and Lego just didn't think they were needed or took a long time to realize they were needed. Many of them were kind of obvious.
