It won't always be like this! but every now and then, why not? :)
You should build a house for the next tutorial and leave an opening in the front and then connect that garage to the house opening! (Just an idea)

How did you solve the gap on the garagedoor? If i but something to fill the gap on the ceiling the mechanism doesn't work properly. On your fully built garage that feature is not shown anymore.
